OMG, their Italian Hoagie is to die for!!! I went here with my guy to pass some time on Tuesday during their lunch hour. We shared the Italian Hoagie, and he had a spicy enchilada soup which he was so busy eating that he didnt even slow down to talk. He was still finishing his soup as I ate the last of my Hoagie. Let me tell you, I was seriously eying his untouched half I had enjoyed mine so much. The Italian Hoagie was on a delicious, perfectly crusty roll, with Genoa salami, pepperoni, cured ham, provolone, giardiniera, peppers, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo and Italian dressing. When ordering, I was tempted to omit the mayo (which I dont generally eat), but I followed my gut and decided to have the hoagie just the way they usually prepare it. I was so glad that I did. Taking a bite into the crisp roll, my mouth was then filled with delicious meat and cheese, spicy savory toppings and the juiciness of the mayo and tangy Italian dressing. It was love at first bite for me. Next time Im having a whole hoagie of my own! We sat at the bar, and service was very friendly and very efficient, and they seemed to be constantly available. The ambiance was pleasant, and since they werent too busy during my visit, the noise level was not a factor. This is a trip across town for me, but I will absolutely be making the trip again soon. It may be awhile until I get past the Hoagie to try something else on the menu!!!

What the hell were you thinking? This new windy city theme you have is lame and does not by any means match the décor of what you expect when you walk in. The old menu needed an update but your new 1 page menu lacks a true personality that comes on a piece of paper...really? And the overpriced limited selections you offer are gross at best. You have lost the feeling reason of what made Half Moon a great place to hang out and have drinks, which I noticed have also gone up in price. I can only assume thats to pay for the new red awnings you put up. What were the other upgrades and this amazing overhaul you posted on your website? At best, its a joke. You need to make an effort to bring back some of what you had create a balance of what you want it to be. There is nothing special about this place now and you took away the identity of what was good. Whoever convinced you that Phoenix was in dire need of a Midwest themed establishment was a great salesman and deserves a bonus for selling you a crappy concept. Ive been to the Midwest, and I can say Half Moon does not fit that feel or criteria. We need our own identity here in Phoenix...with that being said, you have epic failed with your renovation and poor choices.

None. Not a one and yet I have to to be able to post a review... Type in "Best Bars to watch PPV Boxing in Phoenix" and this place is in the top three through Yelp. Just called to make plans to try their place this coming Saturday for the Sergey Kovalev vs. Andre Ward for the unified WBA, IBF and WBO light heavyweight world championship. The young lady who answered did not know what I was talking about. No biggie. She put me on hold to ask a manager. Came back and said, "No, we are not." Absolutely stunned silence. This will likely be the biggest fight of the year, if not the past two. And if you look at ALL of the pics through what was once Google Places...Plus... and whatever its called now, along with the dozens on Yelp, the owner is CONSTANTLY touting his place as something special. I would agree special in a Bizarro Superman context meaning "awful."

Our office just recently reserved a room at the Half Moon Sports Grill for a going away party for one of our co-workers. We reserved the room during their happy hour (4-7 pm). The service was fantastic, and all of the staff there were very prompt and courteous. Candie Lee (the General Manager) was extremely helpful in setting up the room for our group, and our server Bree did an outstanding job as our server. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone looking to reserve a room at a place near the Biltmore area to make a reservation at the Half Moon Sports Grill for any type of event. They have great happy hour prices on drinks, their food is terrific, and all of their staff is very friendly and professional.

Love the new look and the new menu! The place looks brighter and received a much needed overhaul. The fun really begins with the food and the portions are bigger and the prices seem smaller. Start with the Buffalo Chicken Dip (cant find anything like it anywhere else) and then go for the Thin crust pizza, I recommend the Rush Street. Perfect crust with a slightly sweet sauce. Save room for the Elis Cheesecake. If youve ever been to Chicago you know what Im talking about! Great Happy Hour if you are hungry, all appetizers are $5 and you gotta get an Old Style Beer served in a paper bag!

I wish Id had a waitress but all we had was a woman who brought us 1 water each and took our order. A different waitress came and brought out my food. My friends and I sat in the patio for 2 hours without any water and no sight of the waitress. We were literally chasing down other servers to ask for water because our was nowhere to be seen until she brought the bill. When she brought the bill she switched the credit cards and charged different amounts to different people. We had to stay an extra 30 minutes to wait for this to be fixed. The bad service is not worth the mediocre food.

One of my favorite new hangouts for watching sports! Its a great location to watch the game with fellow Bears fans. A solid, great tasting menu with $2 cans of Old Style (served in a brown paper bag) remind me of watching Cubs games back in Wrigley Field. Great floor-plan and beautiful decor helps take it a step above your average sports bar. EDITORS NOTE Just finished watching the World Series, game 7, last night. Clay really puts together an amazing environment for Chicago sports fans. Cubs. Bears. Bulls. Hawks. It doesnt matter. Half Moon Windy City Sports Grill has it covered.

This should not be called "Windy City" sports bar. I stopped in for a Chicago Cubs playoff game against the Giants and they exactly 1 television out of about 20 with the Cubs game on. An Arkansas college football game was on every single television but that one. How can you call yourself a Windy City sports bar if you dont even make an event out of a Chicago Cubs playoff game. Thats a disgrace and extremely misleading.

One of my top spots to watch a game especially when Chicago teams are playing. Thier claim to fame is the audio experience its like watching a sporting event at the movie theatre !!! Food and drinks average great deal on long islands a lot of the regulars have left which is why I dont come back much but Alexis the bartender is always on point for great s Er vice and conversation.

The new decor is good however the old menu is gone which is a shame, because it had more choices especially appetizers...how do you not have nachos in a sports bar. Had the cheeseburger which was salty and the fries (which dont come with the burger) seriously lacking. Probably will still watch football here just wont eat here.
