Decent bar, though the bouncers are too cool for school-- but thats as commonplace as sand in a desert. One bouncer in particular (57-59, black, and about a buck sixty was yelling at my friends during a bachelor party, on 05 November around 11 pm, because one of our buddies was standing at the edge of the outside of the bar picking up a cup my drunk friend (on the inside) tipped over. He kept yelling right from the start and asking why he (the guy picking up the cup on the outside was outside). My friends repeatedly told him he (guy on outside) was waiting for us to leave and we even had our friend produce an ID to prove he wasnt under 21. FInally he tried lying, saying theyd been standing there for over an hour-- despite the fact that I (the dd for the night) and the guy on the outside had just walked back from the gas station 10 minutes prior to get some cigarettes. Then he tried telling me Id had too much to drink, despite the fact that I hadnt had a drink all night and I told him so. And what finally made me yell in the bouncers face was when my friend apologized to him and he said "what do you have to be sorry for if you didnt do anything wrong." Anyway, I dont know the name of the little man who gets off puffing up on people like a billy badass, but he and the refusal of any of the guys up front to address the situation is the reason we finally just left. Im posting this hoping it makes it at least to the owner of the place since the guys up front didnt want to lift a finger to address the problem despite my asking them to-- though Im sure theyll make up some b/s story as to why they didnt. And as for the rest of the bar, I had no problem. Cheap drinks, fast bartenders, good music, chill atmostphere and entertaining enough. It really was just the one bouncer who screwed it up.

I was very disappointed at this bar. I had very high hopes but, this bar and their customer service is something they need to work on. First off, my recent visit I was thirsty after playing a few video games. It was the middle of the afternoon, midweek wasnt busy at all if you were assuming. I was waiting for the bartender to acknowledge me, or at least give me a glance or a smile. But all she did was look a me and walk away like I was invisible gave me the cold shoulder. Worst feeling in the world. The person next to me even noticed it and I didnt even know the guy. I didnt say anything rude made any comments. I just stood there waiting........ I believe that if you have a negative experience youll tell more people than having a positive one and this is one of them. I decided to walk out. I AM NEVER coming back. Go to another bar, theyre so many in Downtown Phoenix Avoid this one. If I can give ZERO stars I would.

My favorite place to visit when in doing a downtown Phoenix bar crawl. The clientele is a bunch of younger hipsters though which is kind of frustrating, but thats all the places in the area. Dont get me wrong, I get confused as a hipster all the time but this place has really does have one of the best collections of arcades classics. Its so good that my true inner-nerd and 90s-kid gamer in me gets frustrated at that 22yo with a Hitler-youth and septum piercing; not realizing how well we have it at this place. The drink prices are on the higher end and the bar is really small so its a pain in the ass to get a drink during busy nights. This place is so conflicting to me. If these machines were at Bonus Round Id never leave. My true inner-nerd is annoyed by the clientele when Im in my "zone", but my outer-socialite likes the atmosphere. Damnit, 5/5 stars.

Had one drink and got the hell out of there. Whats with the air of superiority floating around the staff here? When my friends and I got up to the bar, we were met with a "What?" and an eyeroll from the bartender. She made my party feel like a bunch of chumps and a bother to be served. How does a place like this even stay open for busniess? Not only that, but with the constant hovering of the security (who eye you down and get into your personal space while youre minding your own business or playing a game) the place feels like a prison. The whole vibe is completely and utterly off putting. This was my second visit, but believe me when I say there wont be a third.

horrible!!! came to the Cobra arcade bar to celebrate a belated new years on a monday. after 2 rounds of drinks security asked us to leave because my girl stumbled on the dance floor. mind you my girl wears big ass heels. security proceeded to tell me hes an expert at spotting out drunks. i was very insulted, i was spending allot of money, and some skinny no good flashlight security wants to tell a couple of firemen hes a professional at top flight security. try lifting some weights brah. horrible bar, dj chris villa is the only thing going for this place....i wouldnt waste a good night here ever again.... sincerely, native arizonian!

Horible experience, you can thank the "manager" who also checks Ids at the door supposedly.. I asked for the manager thats what he told me ... I ask a question because I ordered food from the food truck. And 1st thing out of the 63 security guard is... DONE FUKN TALK TO ME.... not only did I wait on line with 2 business partners for 45 min, upon my turn to get inside.. The two "security" guards now demand an apology from me??? When in hell just happened lol I alsked if I can finish my food before going inside simple right... NOPE ohhhh and rhe Dj that night was who invited me lmfao NEVER AGAIN...

One of the most FUN bars in Phoenix. I was there with a group of friends opening weekend when the games were free and we all had a blast playing Ninja Turtles. I absolutely love the Art on the walls done by an old friend Cody! The DJs are hit or miss. Im personally not into Pop or New Hip-Hop (call me old school) but I know they have to cater to the younger generation. Drinks (prices and quality) are about the same as any other bar so nothing special to note there. All in all, a great spot to meet some friends and kill some bad guys. If you dig this place, also check out Bonus Round. Peace.

We were headed to Cobra for drinks and games but decided to take a picture of our motorcycles across the street by the mural first. In the process of riding through the gravel one of my friends fell over and hurt her foot. We stabilized her leg and began to make a plan to get her to the hospital. She was writhing in pain when Devon (wears a hat with "DEVO" on it) came over with a bag of ice and to see if she was okay. He was very nice and we are incredibly thankful that he took the time to check on her. We will definitely be back when shes feeling better!
