Being a taste of china restaurant waitress for the past 5 years I have a few comments for the other people posting things on here that they have no idea what theyre talking about. first of all, for the lady who thinks we poisoned you... the signs you listed are of pregnancy or the flu so you may need to talk to your husband about that because we DO NOT use msg, we dont use any dye in the sweet and sour sauce, the orange beef is fried as you order it and the.texture of the beef is completely different than that of the chicken, the CRAB PUFFS have specs pf crab in them just cause you cant see it doesnt mean its not there which I am very happy there isnt a lot because I am allergic to shellfish but am still able to eat them :), also, if you think delivery is only 20 min, think again, you are not the only person who orders for delivery it may or may not be busy at that moment when we even tell you on the phone it will take 30-45 min, this restaurant is the cheapest, highest quality chinese food you will.find in the gilbert area just clearing up all of your wrong assumptions and thank you to all of our loyal customers :)

We had not had Chinese food in a while so I decided to get some takeout from this place since it was just down the street from us. (Although we had never tried it before, there seemed to be a lot of positive reviews here and on other sites.) What a mistake. I waited for the food and it was brought out promptly. Things went downhill from there. We ordered Pot Stickers, Lemon Chicken, Spicy Korean Beef, Sweet/Sour Pork and Vegetable Fried Rice. As mentioned elsewhere, they package their sauces separate from the chicken and pork so the latter doesnt get soggy. As soon as I opened up the containers for the chicken and pork, I could tell both were way overcooked. We would have been better off buying some McNuggets and pouring lemon sauce on them. The Vegetable Fried Rice was just so-so. Vegetables were cooked just right, but overall the rice was pretty bland. On the other hand, the Pot Stickers were okay and we both really liked the Spicy Korean Beef. That is the only container we finished off. Ended up throwing out 3/4 of our $40 order in the trash. Wont be going there again.

Its been years since weve eaten at Taste of China and we remembered why. My husband got the house chicken and the sauce was slightly more flavorful than soy sauce. I got the orange beef and it was soggy and not very flavorful. The crab puffs/wontons/ragoons were plain cream cheese (which I actually prefer since Im not a seafood lover) but the wrappers are the type that taste powdery. (If you like crab puffs, you know the type..) The sweet and sour sauce (which I had to drive back to the restaurant for...) had decent flavor but it is not necessary to put that much red dye in ANYTHING. I make sweet and sour sauce at home and I can tell you NO red food dye is required. Anyway - save yourself the money, its not worth it.

I have eaten here a few times and actually really liked it... until last week. I dont know if the meat was bad and they just covered the taste with MSG but I have never been destroyed like this from anything I have ever eaten. I have been sick for 3 days now and I honestly feel like I have been poisoned. My fiancee had a much smaller portion and didnt sleep the entire night and started throwing up a few hours afterwards. It was the only thing in common that we had eaten that day. Ive experienced food poisoning before but never like this... almost 72 hours of dizziness, nausea, migraines, stomach aches, cramping, and diarrea since I ate there. I would go elsewhere if you are looking for Chinese.

Started going back to this place for takeout convenience. Order lettuce wraps with extra lettuce and soup. They ran my card and when I was waiting to pick it up decided to tell me it would be an additional $1 for the extra lettuce. If they would have told me before ordering and running my card, that would be one thing, but basically holding me ransom to pay more is very in professional. I guess I will drive the extra 2 mile to Pei Wei. They dont charge for extra lettuce and the wraps are better.

Terrible. Do not go here. I ate there last night, I ordered orange chicken, fried rice, and beef chowmein it was all good tasting everythimg seemed fine..until i got home. About an hour after eating i had the worst explosive diarrhea. My pregnant sister who had gone there a few months earlier had gotten really bad food poisoning. I will never go here again. It also took about 10 min for the waitress to get us drinks and she didnt even know the drinks they had available. Terrible place

I went there a couple of days ago and when I was picking up my "to go" order a roach was crawling on the wall behind the register by the ice tea dispenser. I told the person at the register about the roach and was told that they have the bugs being sprayed but the roaches were still in the back - which is the kitchen. No attempt at trying to find or kill the roach was made. She went to go wait on a table. I threw away all of the food and they just lost my business.

I have been coming here for about 9 years now, for good reasons. They offer daily lunch specials Mon-Sat 11p-4p, at good prices (either $5.69 or $6.19 depending) for the items which come with soup, an egg roll, and fairly generous portions. The servers are all noticeably quick and are genuinely nice people. They offer carry-out, delivery, or eat-in. P.S. I especially recommend the cashew chicken or house chow mein.

We live close to this place and have taken food out about once a month for the past six or seven years. Their food is the best around. Weve tried other places but keep coming back here. We had a problem with the ribs as sometimes they are dried out and tough but they have fixed that for now. We highly recommend this place for fast and good tasting Chinese food.

I agree with Simon and ReviewKing. This place delivers food FAST. And always fresh and tasty. Other places I ordered something and was told to wait for an hour or more. This is the only place that deliver what they promise and exceed the expectation all the time. The waitress are very nice too. The owner is very friendly and approach. Feel like home.

This is the fastest delivery food that I know of. They said 45 mins to 1 hour. Every time placing an order there, within 15 to 30 mins, got the food!!! The servers are very nice and friendly. They make tasty food too. I always order chicken fried rice and add spice on it. Very tasty I tell you. I would highly recommend this place to my friends.

My wife and I have been eating at taste of china for the last 10 years. We absolutely love it. Our favorite is probably the orange chicken. There egg rolls and crab puffs are great. Our other 2 favorite meals are amazing chicken and broccoli and beef. Taste of china is one of the best chinese restaurants we have been to.
