From a former employee who worked his tail off and was often rewarded with numerous praises, I wish I could add more encouraging remarks. Food was good, there was a severe lack of training, and the boss could at times be abrasive. I was at a loss when suddenly let go out of the blue. Prices and food are good, and I supoose that takes precedence. However, Doug the owner, although skilled at making subs, is as unptedictable as the weather, at times treats his employees with no respect, provides little to no guidance in training new employees and proceeds to belittle them if they have a question who's answer was unclear, and most importantly lies to those of us that received a multitude of job performance compliments. I'll never visit Doug's establishment again. Best subs in town? HIGHLY questionable. Good prices? Yeah.

I work for a nonprofit organization that ordered subs from this restaurant for a Teacher Workshop. The subs were so delicious and the teachers really appreciated it. Afterwards, we were so pleased by the response that we contacted Doug Stauffer, the owner, to see if he would be willing to donate subs for a big Water Festival education event that we have in Gilbert. The subs would be for volunteers who came out to teach the students all day. Doug agreed to donate enough subs AND chips to feed the all the volunteers! We had around 50 volunteers that day. This is a great local business that makes great food and supports the local community.

Went here about a week ago and nothing special about these sandwiches I could make a better sandwich at home. The meat they use isnt very good quality and my sandwich had a weird taste to it so I opened it up to look and my bacon was YELLOW nasty right so I took it off and then that weird taste was gone. It had to of been bad bacon. Which who knows how old the bacon was because I dont think bacon goes bad that quick. Also, I couldnt find 1 clean table in the place to sit and it wasnt busy no one even came out to wipe tables while I was there. On a brighter note the P.B.C. cookie was delicious thats why I have 2 stars

Ive been living off of jimmy johns for the past month and needless to say I was in search for a new sandwich place that delivered. So I decided to give these guys a shot. I ordered the hot pastrami and I was really impressed. The pastrami wasnt greasy, the bread was toasted and a little burned around the edges(which is how I like it) and the ingredients tasted fresh. The customer service was excellent and delivery was earlier than they had told me. Im sold on these guys. I will definitely order from these guys again.

Sandwiches are really good, esp when they get the order right. The staff is great, the owner is great and friendly, but they screw up our orders at LEAST 7 out of 10 times. Im NOT exaggerating...In fact, it just happened again today, they got BOTH wrong. However, like I said, theyre still great sandwiches, theyre just rarely what we actually ordered. My fiancée and I will continue to come here because they really are good sandwiches. Just wish the owner would slow down and get the orders correct once in awhile... Tony

Almost every Saturday for the last few weeks Ive enjoyed a Cold Coors and a Hot Sub! No regrets. By far one of the best subs Ive had the pleasure of enjoying. You can eat some many things in a lifetime but Sidewinder Subs is by far the Most Memorable Sub Ive eaten. The Chipotle Mayo is so Great on all the subs and the Buffalo Sauce is HOT! Plus a $2 Dollar Icy Cold Pint is great. Thanks Doug.

This place has the best sandwiches around.. Serve beer, and is always packed... There also is a girl who works behind the counter that is stunning... I can barely eat my sub because of how good looking she is... Edit: Her name is Mia (maybe Maya)... She handed me a bag of chips today... Of course I couldnt even form a comprehensive "thank you"... I blew it!

My husband and I are always looking for new local places to eat. We finally tried Sidewinders and we were amazed! By far they are the best sandwiches in Gilbert. Amazing food. Everything is fresh and delicious. Not to mention the staff was friendly and the service was great. This place is definetly our new sandwich shop. I reccommend this place to everyone!

Absolutely delicious subs..full of high quality meats and super fresh taste! They delivered to our Kachina Klassic AYSO Region 503 soccer tournament last weekend at Dobson High School in Mesa AZ and the trays were devoured by our volunteer referees! I plan to eat there again. I go to Sidewinder subs every 2nd Wednesday of the month because they have a TEAM Arizona Bike Night there. The food is great and the people are friendly. What more could you ask for from a sub shop? Oh yeah, they play great music and the owner Doug is really down to earth and always ready to serve.

This place has amazing food. Seriously, off the chain, bomb, sick, tight, whatever you want to call it. Beer is hit or miss, thats the only reason it doesnt get 5 stars from me. But, it isnt a bar, I wouldnt go here just to get drunk. I will go again and again for the subs though.

The best sub shop in the east valley (perhaps the best in the state) The sandwiches never disappoint. Their delicious sandwiches are made to order, and they dont skimp on the meat. You can tell by the lunch time crowd that this place has many loyal customers. Great subs!

Very good subs. We had the roast beef turkey and the turkey avacodo. First time here and definitely coming back. Make sure if its your first time they have different size subs. They have a 6" sub for $4.99. They didnt mentioned that when we ordered.

This place had the best sub sandwich that my wife and I have ever eaten in our lives. They are kinda pricey, but absolutely delicious. Good food that is definitely worth the money. You have to support this business so they never go away...

My favorite sandwich shop in gilbert! Cant go wrong with The Bomb or Steak and Cheese. Also the gluten free buns are very good. They have Kiltlifter beer on tap for only $3.75. I have yet to find this beer that cheap anywhere else.

Found Sidewinder via Eat24 and am so happy I did! Subs are fantastic... the breads are soft and flavorful. The ingredients have always been fresh and portioned right. Personal recommendation: Spicy Italian... with Bacon. Mmmmmmm

Great bread, perfectly sliced onions and really fresh everything. The owner is a really social person that is really pleasant to talk to. Nice place with TVs but not blaring volume which is great for families.

I had the steak and cheese with grilled onions and everything on wheat....ate the whole things along with the Maui onion chips! Great food, very clean and great atmosphere! New fave sub place!!!

I got the traditional turkey and cheese and was not disappointed! The turkey was amazing and the bread was so soft and delicious!!! This beats any sub Ive had here in Arizona as of yet!!
