Ive been visiting Southern Ale House for two years. It has always been fantastic. The chicken tenders are amazing. They make their ranch dressing in house, it is the best in town! The service has always been great. I go a lot with friends. One time we both ordered chicken tenders and they came out burnt. The owner quickly apologized, took them back, cooked us new ones, and gave us a free appetizer. The atmosphere here is cool and not hectic. I have never had anything bad off of their menu. As per other reviews, it is a little pricey but, you get more food that what you would at other places.There is nothing bad I can say about this place.

My fiancé and I were refereed to the Southern Ale House. The atmosphere was good. We arrived at a little past 7pm and finally after eating we left at about 9:30 pm. This was because of the service being about 20 - 30 minutes between servers visits to our table and having to wait on our main courses for well over an hour.. They did manage to bring us a second serviny on our appetizer and them finally getting our dinners to us about 9 15

Incredibly good food. The people who work at SAH are a perfect fit for the atmosphere. Theyre relaxed, friendly, and very attentive to your needs. The owner is usually around and he will stop and talk with you about anything from your food, to sports, to the weather. Just a great place to go have a solid meal. Were lucky to have this restaurant in Tuscaloosa.

The biscuit meals (Bama chicken, fried chicken, prime rib) are good when you want a quick bite to eat. I havent tried the burgers but my husband says they are really good. I have been pleased with everything I have tried from the menu. The hash brown casserole and fresh cut fries are good and my son likes the pimento Mac and cheese side.

Husband & I frequent this restaurant as it is one of our favorites. The servers are always pleasant, the area is very cozy for family night or date night, but the two best things about this place are the strawberry jalapeno margarita, and the cheesecake. Start with one, finished with the other, and you will not be disappointed!

Our first time here today and were wondering why we waited so long to try it! Dont make the same mistake, go today. We had a specialty burger, smothered chicken, broccoli, asparagus & bacon ranch scalloped potatoes. Everything was great- food, service, atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Wow. Wonderful selection of local and other beers. Food and service were as expected, GREAT! From Michigan but will visit again when back in town. The biscuit croutons in the salad are amazing and should be an appetizer by itself, according to my better half.

There really is something for everyone here. Great casual fare, novel combinations and genuine comfort food...there are still several dishes on my list to try. They keep Black Warrior and Druid City beers too. This place has become a regular for us.

The best food in town. Dixie fries are amazing but have a little spice. Burgers are also amazing. The best catfish I have ever had. The steak salad was to die for. Deserts are fresh and amazing drinks. Get the copper head !

Love love love! The service was great! The good was amazing! Dined with a group of 11 who all ordered something different and there wasnt quite single complaint. I HIGHLY recommend the Jalapeño Cream Cheese Burger.

One of my favorite spots in Tuscaloosa. Far enough away from campus that its not always swarmed with college kids. Great atmosphere. I often sit at home thinking about their pimento mac and cheese.

The staff are polite. The food was ok. The sweet potato tots are too large and are essentially balls of mush. My wife enjoyed the rib-eye but the price was pretty high.
