We ate at Blackfinn for the first time last night and we really enjoyed our dinner experience. We eat early, so it was not that busy when we got there. Our server came right over and took our drink order. It took us a while to peruse the menu and the waitress was patient. I ordered the Pad Thai (there were so many other things on the menu I wanted to try, but this struck me as the best choice because it had chicken and shrimp in it) and my wife ordered sausage wrapped chicken of some sort. We both enjoyed our meals. The Pad Thai was very different than what youd get in a Thai restaurant and I was glad for it. It was tasty and the shrimp added a nice extra flavor to it. The sauce was delicious. My wife decided that she did not like the sausage after all, so she took all of it off the chicken before taking a bite. She said that it wasnt anything against the restaurant, its just that she decided she only likes Kielbasa sausage. After we ordered our food, it came out rather quickly. I was a bit shocked at how fast they prepared it for us. Our waitress refilled our drinks without ever being asked and she checked in with us often enough to count and not so often that it was annoying. The atmosphere in the restaurant was semi-dark and pleasant and the decor was conservative with lots of dark wood. There were TVs all over the bar area playing various sports games - Saturday Night Football, Basketball, Golf, and a TV that was devoted to Blackfinn advertising. The restaurant played modern and classic rock music that was at just the right volume so as not to be disturbing to the senses. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely go back.

We went into this place on a tuesday afternoon. It was pretty empty and we decided to sit on the patio. The inside bar tender was our waitress. We were immediately overwhelmed by the large menu and it took us about 15 minutes to even decide what we wanted to eat. We ordered the finn fries as an app and all we received was some overpriced fries. There was nothing special about them except a small amount of inssignificant seasoning and nothing more. The portion was also very small. My husband and I ordered the philly cheesesteak and he got his side as fries and mine as pan roasted brussels sprouts. One of my daughters ordered the kids sliders and the other ordered the kids chicken strips. The sliders were very tough and dry. The cheesesteaks were tough, dry, and flavorless. You couldnt see any mushrooms, onions, or bell peppers and it comes without condiments. my brussels sprouts were so tough and dry that i couldnt even chew them. The bacon that is cooked with them was black and hard as a rock. I had to ask for a water refill when my glass was almost empty and the ice had long melted. The waitress waited until the last second to bring the check. The food is very overpriced for the quality, quantity, and taste. They should spend less on decor and equipment and more on service and food quality. Im only giving this a star because there is no option to give it zero stars!

I had very high hopes for this restaurant and I do believe they can overcome some of the issues in this review. The outdoor menu thats posted had some great offerings, so I decided to venture inside. I immediately fell in love with the decor--lots and lots of flat screen televisions placed all over the venue and bar area. Amazing!!! I can definitely see myself here on Thursday, Sunday and Monday night football!!!! Roxanne was my bartender. She was really sweet and made me a righteous Mojito--Scrumdiddlyumptious!!! However, she made a mistake with my receipt and had to charge my card twice, once for the reversal charge and the other for the actual charge. Kinda annoying. My Ahi Tuna appetizer was delicious. Really fresh with a spicy kick. My entrée, Shrimp and Grits started off really well, but I think the grits were a bit clumpy so I couldnt finish it all. This place is kinda pricey, but I dont mind paying for quality food and service. Id give this place another shot.

In town from another state and went out with a friend to this location. It wasnt busy, which was to be expected on a Monday night. When I ordered my beer, there was a fly in the foam on top. No reason the bartender shouldnt have noticed this, other than the fact that he plainly doesnt care or is completely incompetent. I mentioned that there was a fly in it and he acted unapologetic and unsurprised. He got me another one without offering me but a simple apology. I dont like asking for handouts, but as someone in the service industry for many years, was at least expecting a free pint for such a disgusting experience. The bar is well kept with nice bathrooms and he did bring me another beer, which was very tasty. He looked upset when me and my friend did not leave a tip, which compliments his attitude. I realize this may be an isolated incident, but check your drinks here.

Disappointed. Service a little slow - apparently only two servers on the floor when we were there for a late lunch at 1.30 pm today.. Our server did apologize, so obviously a manager scheduling issue. Food was very disappointing - ordered Chicken and Avocado salad - found one thin slice of avocado in the dish. Brought that to servers attention, and she did bring three more THIN slices. Husband ordered Mediterranean salad that he said was bland - no flavor - did not enjoy at all. Did not enjoy our first trip to restaurant about a year ago. Decided to give it another try about 6 months ago, and it was better, hence our trip today. Do not think we well be back.

Ive been to BlackFinn several times and this is my first official complaint. I ordered three lemon drop martinis with Belvedere vodka. The 2nd drink was OBVIOUSLY not even top shelf. I didnt have a problem drinking it but let the server know and asked that he make sure that my third was and told him that I wasnt paying the difference. Ultimately I handed him my card without seeing the bill first and he was never to be seen again. My pre-tip total was $113 and I only put $20 down last night. He lost $12 by not deducting $2/3 from my total bill. I feel that if he didnt have enough authority to reduce my one drink price he should have asked management.

I visited the restaurant on Sunday 7/9/17. We had a waiter whose name is David. He provided great service and information about the choices we selected. The bar service was horrible, drinks over priced, no garnish, just a plain drink sat down on the table and the young lady with the short red hair from the bar...RUDE!! The staff definitely (including the hostess) could definitely use training on how to treat and interact with patrons. Undecided if I will come back.

Attendand sips and chips wine pairing. We had to sit outside which was unfortunate due warm weather. Which staff seemed unprepared for.The ladies that were serving serving gave bigger portions To certain customers. It made my fiancé uncomfortable so I asked other guests if they noticed the same issues which they confirmed. NO LONGER HAPPY OR WILL PATORNIZE BLACKFINN AMERAPUB
