Their customer service is horrible! I went there with two of my employees today for lunch and food was very good as usual. When we finished eating and our checks were brought to our table, I noticed that in the bottom of my ice water was something that was black and a little larger than a quarter. I stopped drinking and a tissue like substance that had mildew all on it floated to the top. I instantly alerted my waitress. She came over and I said "Maam Im not sure what this is but Im disgusted by what is in my water. Im not sure what you all will do about this but Im unsatisfied with this. May I please speak to your manager?" She replied "Aww its ok its just ice sir." I said "Maam this is not ice, it looks like tissue or some paper thing that has mildew!" She replied "Sir its in our ice machine. Some got in my drink yesterday and I was like "Ooops" but Im still alive sir." I said "maam thats you, this is nasty! May I please speak with your manager?" She said "The manager is not here." I said "Well may I please speak with your supervisor or shift leader?" She said "Ummm the owner is very busy." I said "Maam I need something done about this." She said "Ok sir I apologize I got you." She then walked to the back as she finished the tickets and a male employee charged my way and stood directly over my shoulder and said "Sir, you gonna pay for this food!" I replied "Sir There was a nasty thing in my drink. I need something done about this or I refuse to pay." The guy then said to me "That has nothing to do with your food! You sat here and ate all of your food and you complaining about free water?! Your water was free and you are going to pay for this meal!!!" I began to try to talk to him but he walked off from me as I was talking calmly to him. The waitress then returned to the table and said "Sir, Im so sorry!" I began to tell her that Im fine but the guys attitude was unprofessional and rude. I said "Maam Im a manager of a customer service based retail store and its just right to do right. If someone complains about something they received from my company, Im obligated to treat that customer with respect and take care of the customer. She said "Yes sir, Ill pay for your meal at no charge to you." I said thank you maam. When she went back to the register (which is a few tables over by the entrance) the male employee was standing there and saw what she was doing, he yeld across the room "Hey man, you are going to pay for this food!" I replied calmly "No sir I refuse to pay for this food because of your service and rudeness." He said well do I need to call the police then?" I replied "Sir Ill actually call them for you as I have an officers number in my phone! Please hold that thought while I call him sir." He then walked to the back of he restaurant. As I called the officer he directed me to call the non emergency line and report what is going on. I contacted them and a lady answered the phone. As I explained to her what was going on, she said "Oh my God! Ewwww!!! Are you serious?!" Sir Im sending someone out right now, whats the address?" The same guy returned to our table and said "Im one of the managers and I spoke with the owner and they said you are free to leave. You can go now!" I said "Sir Im on the phone with the police and they want to know the address of your business as they are sending someone over immediately." He replied (word for word) "Ummm I dont know the address. Ill have to look in the menu." I told her the woman on the phone "Maam now he is staying to be he manager but he doesnt know the address to his job that he manages." I was then informed by the lady on the phone that I can leave that establishment and I did NOT HAVE TO PAY! That was the worst customer service Ive ever experienced! The food may be good and all but if you want to keep your customers and grow your business you need to: 1) Keep your ice machine clean and sanitized 2) Only hire staff that is respectable and that represents your business 3) Know that every customer is a gift!

The worst costumer service! I was told that there would be a twenty minute wait for two. As my friend and I waited outside in the cold because there was no where to sit on the inside, we noticed that our twenty minutes had passed. Also that people who had arrived at the establishment after us had been seated. We walk inside and ask why havent we been seated, and with a snappy attitude the hostess tells us that she called our name three times. We proceeded to tell her that we had been outside the entire time sitting on the benches they provide and did not hear anything. She then gives us more attitude and tells us that all we can do is wait to be seated behind three more tables. While my friend and I try to grasp whats being said to us, the hostess walks away and does not return. So we left and we promise that we will not be back!

Small and quaint restaurant, only seats 49 people max, sparsely decorated with Mexican flair, the only way I knew I was in Mexican restaurant were the white folks wearing sombreros and soccer on one out four functioning TVs. As a Mexican I was disappointed that there was no Mexican/Norteno music playing. As for the food it was great Mexican food for Mobile. I would definitely take my white friends but not my Mexican wife. Still on the look out for my kind of Mexican restaurant.

Without a doubt, La Cocina is the best, most authentic Mexican food in Mobile. It is, in fact, among the best Ive tasted outside of Mexico itself. Besides the usual array of tacos, burritos, and enchiladas, La Cocina offers a "real" menu full of authentic dishes not familiar to North American diners. These include moles, pork stews, stuffed peppers, and many corn dishes. Additionally, the place has the atmosphere of a real Mexican cantina, so you get that true dining experience.

I lived in Phoenix Arizona for 15 years. It is the most authentic Mexican food I have found in Mobile County and Baldwin County. I just wish they had fish tacos and burritos. I believe they could do it for the prices that I would get it in Arizona or Mexico and not the prices they charge here at mobile at other taco places because those places out outrageous on their prices of fish tacos in fish burritos

Used to be one of the best Mexican Restaurants in Mobile, AL. It seems that they have changed their food vendor on materials or something because the food has not been up to par the last few times we have been and many co-workers and friends have agreed that the food has been on the downhill. Service is still fast and friendly, just not as impressed with the food.

This is my favorite place to eat. the food is amazing and the servers are nice friendly and fast. However the last few times I have been in the host that they have is horrible and rude. She acts annoyed at her job and is rude to everyone. they need to find a friendly person to greet their customers. It doesnt matter what time a day you go in she is rude 24-7.
