This place is great and I love it. It also serves as a cautionary tale for people who buy existing restaurants and dont rename them. Better to build your own brand than try to keep one going that may have come with some unwanted baggage. We moved to this area 20 years ago and tried this place sometime in the first five years we were here. We were very unimpressed. The food was very light on veggies and not particularly good. The other day, it was late, we hadnt had dinner and this was the closest open Chinese joint to our house so we grudgingly gave it a second try. Imagine our surprise when the angels of Chinese food sang. My wife doesnt usually even like my favorite dish, Almond chicken, and she finished the portion. The House Chow Mein was fresh and delicious. There were veggies and the meat was perfectly cooked. At first we were kicking ourselves for writing off such a great place after only trying it once. The following week I returned and ordered a wider variety of dishes. this time, I asked the owner how long she had owned the place and she said 13 years. I told her about our first experience and that I wished wed known that it had changed ownership because we would have been very regular customers. The Pork chow yuk was so tasty and the won ton soup had great flavor. The sweet and sour chicken was great as well. Every dish we had was outstanding and we still need to try the mu shu pork, egg fu yung and a lot of other offerings. We judge our Chinese restaurants based on freshness and good use of veggies. This place is a total winner and well be back often. The fact that its the closest Chinese restaurant to our home is just icing on the cake.

I try to give restaurants several tries before making a decision about one. You could get their worst cook, the waitress with a bad day, or just not enjoy that one item on the menu you tried. After trying this place several times i have made the decision never to return. They are never on time with their pick-up times and im left standing an extra 5-10 minutes every time. They charge you for extras you order but never put them in your food. Every time ive ordered Beef Fried Rice with extra beef they never put any extra in. I have ordered both normal Beef Fried Rice and with the extra on seperate occasions. Same amount. They are either playing the race card with not understanding English well or they are severely challenged intellectually. I also need more than 2 tiny packets of soy sauce for a LARGE fried rice. When i asked for more packets they wanted to charge me $2. They have bottles of soy sauce on every table and i HIGHLY doubt they ask customers to pay extra if they pick up the bottle. I have NEVER been to a chinese place in my life that didnt let you take a handful of sauce packets. Most have a big box right by the checkout that you can take from. I am incredibly disappointed with their timeliness, order taking capabilities, business practices, and underhanded cheating of not giving what you paid for. Might be better for dine in, I dont know. Delivery however, not that great. Lacked flavor outside of salt. Beef broccoli was really salty and boring. Which was really disappointing because beef broccoli is my favorite Chinese dish, but Ive had way better. Sweet sour pork ok. Sesame chicken was mushy. Fried rice had old or frost bite peas (looked very much like frost bit peas). Very pricey for what little we received. Forgot utensils. The only things with flavor were the egg roll and egg flower soup. I have had better egg flower, but with the rest tasting horrible, the egg flower soup ended up being the best out of what we ordered. Ended with a stale (soft, like has been around moisture)!fortune cookie. I now wish I had read the low star reviews before ordering. Everyone I read had a similar experience, rude older lady, fried rice mix of white and fried with old mixed in, bad flavor, expensive, lied about free delivery, upped the price over the phone from what their online menu said. I should have followed one ladys lead and canceled my order. I order Chinese often, but never again from Silver Dragon in Everett.

I saw some of the unhappy reviews and felt impressed to leave my experience with the Silver Dragon restaurant and staff. My family and I have enjoyed the service and food here for several years, to the point where we know each other by name. I order mainly for delivery and while it sometimes takes longer than 40 minutes to get to us, the food is always hot and well packaged. Fortunately our experience has been great every time. The pot stickers are the best - large and meaty, theyre not for the faint of heart. Hot and sour soup is wonderful and a mainstay if someone has a cold. My daughter is a noodle fiend and loves the chicken chow mein. Frankly, weve liked every dish weve had which is a pretty good ballpark record for a restaurant. In this fast food age, its nice to have personal service with a smile behind it. One caveat is their website menu which in dire need of an upgrade. Same dishes and specials, but these are the old prices and much lower than what they charge now.

First I call to see if they deliver to my place they said yes, the website also says free delivery, I order $20+ they then tell me for delivery it has to be $35+. At that point is should have cancelled my order but instead I said Id go pick it up. I ordered off the lunch menu, one word for the food ...disgusting! The chicken was cold inside and was low quality, what was suppose to be fried rice was a mixture of fried and white rice and was stale, and the egg roll lets just say jack-in-the-boxs egg roll is 10x better. Never again will I order food from here.

I called in an order for delivery, Orange chicken and a stir fry w steamed rice. They tried to charge me $34.00. I asked why it was so expensive and they said because of rice being $4.00 pp and tax. I thought it was too much and said to cancel the order. The lady on the phone then said, " what do you want to pay"? I just said cancel the order. Im just putting this out there so you can watch what you order and look at your reciepts.

Chow mein tasted like old grass. Beef Brocolli had no flavour. Fried Rice really greasy. The other dishes were fine. I called to ask for a refund of at least one of the 2 bad meals of 6 ordered. Zero customer service. Real bad attitude and threatened to call police? I accepted but she would not??? Will not eat from there again..

I love the mu-shu chicken but the old lady that is always here is so ugly(face doesnt smile) and doesnt know how how to service @ all is so RUDE AND COLD im looking for a better chiense place with better service to go along with the good food

Never eating here again. The food is decent but completely taken away from by service. I called to see if they delivered out to where I live and got laughed at then hung up on. Thats no way to treat anybody, especially a customer.
