Very friendly staff. Edemame falafel was made with fresh ingredients and was delightful. Slightly spicy. There was a strange topping on the falafel that was neither spicy nor sweet. It was just, wet. I believe it was supposed to be some type of buffalo sauce but it ended up being just boring and needlessly messy drizzled across the top of the falafel as it was. Chicken dumplings were mediocre. I believe they were freshly made at some point but due to the blandness of them I could not quite tell if they were freshly made today or previously (and frozen). The Buddha sauce I chose was sweet with a bit of tang. I didnt like watching one of the cooks repeatedly grab handfuls of noodles with his bare hands for dishes he was preparing. Im not sure what the health code is here, in Florida, but Im fairly certain using your hands is frowned upon. If I walk up to a counter to place my order, dont ask for a tip. You havent done anything for me a that point. Your "cash register" has huge tip buttons on it when I select my payment method. Tips are reserved for wait staff who are paid a low wage because their income is supplemented by tips. I doubt any of your staff are making huge salaries but asking for tips is not appropriate in what is essentially a fast food establishment.

My friends and I were excited to try a new Asian restaurant, and arrived at Temple Eatery at approximately 9pm on a Sunday. My first impressions were that the restaurant was a food truck in a building - not a bad thing. The decorations were attractive, the menu fun and unique. We wanted to try as many dishes as possible, ordering the Kimchi Quesadilla, Pork Dumplings, Edamame, Bulgogi Bowl, Bibimbap Bowl, Katsu Burder, and Ramen Miso Noodle Soup. The food arrived quickly, and was moderately priced. Unfortunately the food nearly all fell below our mark. We saw the positive reviews, and perhaps our expectations were too high, but the bowls and dumplings especially were well below what we expected. The Kimchi Quesadilla was fantastic and the burger was solid, but the bowls, specifically the meat and vegetables were subpar. The meat felt underspiced and overcooked, while the vegetables werent as fresh as we would have liked. Additionally, the rice itself didnt have the texture or flavor you would expect from something like a Bibimbap Bowl. Overall the experience was not unpleasant, but it fell below our expectations based on the reviews. We may try some other dishes at another time, and still recommend the Temple Eatery to others, but dont expect a homerun.

Ill start my review by saying.. maybe the cook that day wasnt great. Ive been here before. My first visit didnt leave much of impression, but the second did. Very friendly staff and great service. I just dont think their food was that great. Its just "okay". Presentation was fine, the flavouring was either a bit bland or too salty. I got the Edamame Falafel and a side of Lemongrass Chicken. The falafels looked great and tasted good with the curry sauce they used. The first few bites were fine but overtime the salt was unbearable. The side of the lemongrass chicken was a good quantity but dry and didnt have much flavour. My friend ordered a Bulgolgi Bowl. Ill say the sautéed beef could use more seasoning. Rice and vegetables are expected to be on fresh side so the meat has to compliment or compensate for that. To get the most out of the meal my friend had to ask for hot sauce to pump things up a little.

Parking was impossible but theres nothing that can be done about it, so I wont count that against them. Theres a gluten free menu, which is nice. Just ask to see it when you get there and emphasize that to the cashier. Overall, staff was friendly and atmosphere was excellent. I liked the bamboo decor. Also the chicken wings were great, very juicy and perfectly cooked Prices are slightly higher than would like but food was fresh and quality so it was worth it. My aunt ordered shrimp dumplings and those were tiny and definitely wouldnt make an average person full. If you want the most food for your dollar, its safer to order a noodle or rice bowl. Everything that I couldnt finish eating, I took home to enjoy for later. : )

Ive been coming here since they opened. Ive eaten in plenty of times, taken it home you name it both ways youre going to get the same quality. Ive tried everything on the menu multiple times love the specials and consistency. Im grateful Temple Street exists and within close proximity of my house! This evening they forgot an item with my meal, making it incomplete. Called about the issue, and they were so kind, and offered to make the food over and the owner came to apologize in person. It was no big deal, things happen, but that motivated me to share that this place is amazing, from the food to the people. You cant go wrong give em a try and be delighted! Namaste

I always wanted to avoid this place because the location is a bit unusual, it once smelled like awful fish/garbage right on the outside, and normally every time I got there it is scorching hot inside because the restaurant faces west and gets all the afternoon sun. This time it didnt smell but still was very hot. It was at least 90* inside. The food however was worth the heat as the miso soup, edamame falafel balls, and shredded beef stuffed arepas were all fantastic. The happy hour special was great - sake $2, beers $2, wine was like $5 I believe. Food is exceptionally good and priced decently. Would be fantastic take out or non-summer time visit. Definitely hooked!

Always friendly service, fresh food, cold ciders and a clean establishment w a positive atmosphere! Oh and they have wifi! I love coming here bc the food is consistent, as is the service. I havent been able to find many spots for ramen in my area, and this will do just fine, for the price and everything included. Im not in NYC, so Im certainly not expecting some super authentic recipes. They definitely have some flavor! I would kindly ask the owners to incorporate a spicier chili sauce, or paste, that has a more impactful flavor than the chili oil provided. I like spices- A LOT! :) Thanks TSE!

This is a great place for the occasional lunch. The restaurant itself is small to average in size. It doesnt have many parking spots available so its better to go there in down time. The decoration inside is nice and modern and you can also sit outside if thats your thing. The food is really good overall and they have a nice variety of asian fusion type of cuisine. However I find it a bit pricey for what it is and this is why I do not go there on a regular. I would if the prices went down or they offered some kind of lunch specials or combos, which I dont believe they do.
