We ate here last Saturday before a sold-out show. I have been here once before and wasnt overwhelmed the first time either. The only reason we ate here a second time is because of the guarantee of reserved seating...which, unfortunately, are worth it because sitting in the balcony is ridiculously tight; good thing Im a small person. We had a 5:30 reservation for a 7:15 show which I would have thought would be plenty of time. We were on time and the restaurant was just getting full. Stood in front of the hostess for a couple of minutes where she had her head down going through the listings...never looked up, smiled, or greeted in any way. I would have been fine if Id been greeted and said shed be with me shortly. We were a party of 4 and sat right in the center of the room. Sitting for at least 10 minutes before our waitress came over to greet us and to get our drink order...no water in the meantime from anyone. Bar order was very slow and waitress apologized saying the bar was overwhelmed at the moment. Food was good (had burger, porkchop cutlets, blackened pasta which had no blacked chicken and wasnt spicy, and egg roll appetizer) but I think overpriced for what it was. Service was average and atmosphere was very noisy for what looks like a restaurant trying to serve a "higher" clientele. Very poor staffing throughout the night for a sold-out show and unfortunately, Ive experienced this before. I would only consider going back to Lucy if I really wanted the reserved seating for a show.

A friend and I tried this place out for breakfast this morning after a coworker ranted and raved about it. The restaurant itself is beautiful, but thats about all thats good about it. It took about 15 minutes for our server to come take our drink order when we sat down. Not a problem if we werent one of only four tables in the whole restaurant. Whatever. It is what it is. We were enjoying a nice conversation, so we werent needing to be rushed. The biggest reason Im leaving a bad review is because I got their B.e.L.T. breakfast sandwich and fruit on the side. None of the fruit was ripe, so it was like chewing on rubber, but my sandwich was missing the bacon, tomato, and avocado (it is an untraditional BLT). It was barely room temperature as well. I was going to just ask for the missing items on the side so I could keep eating. That proved to be completely impossible because our waiter didnt come back, or was seen anywhere, for nearly 45 minutes. By the time he came to ask if we needed to go boxes, thats when I was finally able to tell him about my food. Incredulous, he requested I dismantle my sandwich and show him proof of my claim. He then offered to have another one made, but by that time, we did need to leave, so I asked if he could just remove it from the ticket. Had he come over sooner, or if any staff member at all been present, then this wouldnt be a big deal. Huge waste of time. Mediocre food. Hassle to park and get to. Save your money and go to Snooze or Bacon Social House.

Wow, easily one of the worst meals weve had in the Denver area We went to comedy works last Friday, and got persuaded into dining at Lucys to get priority seating at the show. I will admit, getting front row seats to the comedy show was a nice perk. My girlfriend picked the Shrimp Scampi, which was recommend by the waitress, and I got the Smothered Bistro Steak. Both were awful. The scampi was watery and lacked any flavor. The only flavor of the steak was a burnt char, definitely more of a "this was cooked on a grill that wasnt cleaned between my steak and the last guys steak" and not an actual attempt at a barbecue char. The steak was tough and rubber, which I should have anticipated being as the menu just says "steak" and not any type of actual cut Just to list a few positives, as I mentioned preferred seating was a plus. Also, the Brussels sprouts were pretty good as well. But the bulk of the meal was really disappointing. And it looks like Im not the only one on these reviews who was disappointed with the food. But hopefully the management can take a look at this review and see if this was an off night, or if meal prep/recipes need to be adjusted in order to improve consistency

Pretty terrible experience. We were joking at our table that eating there was part of the comedy show. Heres what was good and what went wrong... The Good: - Convenient - Got "priority seating" for comedy show (second row) - Cool happy hour pricing - Beer was cold - portion sizes were pretty decent if your into crap quality big quantity The Bad: - server asked twice about each order - burger came out with no lettuce or tomato (also, patty was charred black on one side and briefly cooked on the other). - salad had a nice string of hair in it - Southwest Steak Salad had 5 black beans, and 5 corn kernels (we counted) with two slices of avocado: $14... - Meat was like chewing a pink eraser - ordered butternut squash soup, served a corn chowder - just order a beer, their drink recipes are not normal - good chance wife has food poisoning this morning, she has been sick and uncomfortable today Overall, unless there is a big headliner at Comedy Works and we want to guarantee we have awesome seats... we are never planning on going back. Enjoy! Hope this helps you out.

Went to Lucy for Denver Restaurant week 2009. The restaurant is cool (kind of old Hollywood glam meets modern Rat Pack swanky). The service was pretty good, the food was ok. In all fairness, the limited menu (dinner for 2 / for $52.80) is what we chose in celebration of Restaurant Week. The portions were smaller than expected and a little "froo froo." The butternut squash soup was EXCELLENT! Best part of the meal. The salad was boring and a little bitter. My husband had beef medallions and I had roasted hen....neither were terrible, but the beef had way too much orange peel and so it didnt taste like beef, it tasted like orange. The hen tasted good, but was served in a small black caldren that was hard to eat out of (it also distracted away from the fact that the hen equated to about 3 bites of meat). Dessert good, the chocolate ganache cake was very rich with dark chocolate. My donut and coffee dessert was admittedly GREAT, no complaints. A cool and convenient place to go if youre attending a comedy show downstairs...but better restaurants nearby for the price.

I decided to eat here with my friend because you get offered priority seating for the show if you do. First of all, they couldnt find my reservation. The service was horrible 20 minutes after we were seated a waitress came over and informed us she didnt know we were her table, she was not very friendly and also forgot my friends drink. We ordered the potstickers which were decent but not the greatest. We both ordered the steak and lobster. Lets start with the steak it had no flavor no salt or pepper tasted extremely bland and was not cooked medium rare like I ordered it. The lobster was super salty my friend could not eat hers at all I ate some of mine but only because I was starving, the risotto was undercooked. By far worst meal I have ever had to pay for, Please take my advise DO NOT eat here do not spend your money here!! Its horrible its terrible how this place is aloud to keep serving food is beyond me. I also noticed that many plates were being sent back. I will Never eat here again!
