Once seated the wait was 16 minutes before anyone even offered water to our party of six. Five minutes is a lifetime in the waiting game and in a restaurant with a bar, cocktails should have been offered within a minute or two at the most to keep the waiting time bearable. Our waitress, once she arrived, was pleasant and apologetic, however, apologies never make up for lost time, the one commodity in life that is nonrenewable. For starters we ordered the Crab & Spinach Bacon Dip with tortillas and crostini’s. Wonderful! The blended taste of light crab on top of the spinach with the bacon at the back was really good. A nice way to start giving hope to the arrival of the entrees. I ordered the 8 oz Prime Rib Au Jus (medium rare) with potatoes au gratin and asparagus spears. In 40 years of traveling I have seen some bad plate presentations and this one was definitely in the top ten worst. The cut itself looked like the cook, no Chef would ever do this, just threw it on top of everything on the plate as if it were an afterthought. It completely covered the asparagus, just one little butt sticking out, like the foot of someone crushed under the ruble of a crashed bus. The potatoes were found oozing out from underneath the weight of the prime rib and barely recognizable at that. The Prime Rib was sinewy with sections that I could not get the steak knife to cut through and the amount of blubbery fat hinted at a cheap cut dressed up in fine clothes. Not top notch at all. I love a good Prime Rib, this one did not want to be loved, and it wasnt. Flavor was adequate and yes, the price should have been a tip off. The asparagus was over cooked and the potatoes a disaster. The other 5 entrees seemed to leave everyone else happy. So five out of six is a pretty good bench mark, but for the one out of six, it was a bad, very bad. I can’t refer anyone here that I like, and won’t be back. Life is too short to wait so long for so little.

Four of us went to dinner. We have been going to Perfect Landing for about 10 years, always having a great experience. This time, however, was totally different. We ordered two prime rib dinners, one Alaskan King Crab Legs and a Newport Seafood Pie. The evening started with wine. The first bottle of Canyon Cab was basically vinegar, not the Perfect Landings fault, as the quickly replaced the bottle. Dinner was served. The Newport Seafood Pie was very good, definitely up to Perfect Landing standards. The King Crab legs were more princely in size, not to previous Perfect Landings standards. One Prime Rib was tough and had to be sent back. The replacement piece was much better. The second Prime Rib was passable, but not tender at all. After dinner. We ordered Key Lime pie and Ice Cream with strawberries. The Key Lime pie was good. The Ice Cream and strawberries came only with two raspberries and two black berries. We requested strawberries and they were provided. Wait staff was all new, we only recognized Boggie Bob at the piano. Conclusion: Management should insure correct description of food, especially King Crab Legs. The kitchen staff/chefs need to be more careful in how food is prepared. The wait staff should be checking food to be sure it matches the menu as stated. We drove 37 miles one way to eat at Perfect Landing. The meal was disappointing.

Waste of Time - Called ahead on a Sunday to see if we needed a reservation for brunch, was told over the phone "just to come out, there is less than a 15 minute wait". When we arrived (4 people), we were seated at one of several open tables - far away from the window. As the view was the main attraction for my daughter, I thought it was lousy when they explained that wed need a reservation to get a better table and that no widow tables were "available" (despite the fact that there were at least 4 much better empty tables against the window at the time of our seating). When I politely pressed the hostess for a reason why we couldnt be reseated, she said that they have standing reservations on certian days of the week and cant predict if those parties will show up or not...restaurant code for "saved for people with more money / status than you". The food was all right, but the atmosphere was pretty shabby (barebones tables, dirty floors, 80s decor) for such a snobby attitude. Ive dined at much nicer restaurants with better views where the staff values the live customers who actually are eating there. I wont be going back, hopefully thier absentee "standing reservation" customers can keep this over-hyped airport Waffle House in business.

I hate to complain but I had such a disappointing experience here tonight. I ordered a medium rare filet and it came out raw. I sent it back and asked for medium and it came back still raw. To be clear, Ill eat beef carpaccio, and I always order my steak medium rare, I know what Im doing. But this was not even rare, it was raw both times. At my table, there was also a prime rib order that was the worst prime rib ever tasted and another steak that was ordered as medium well and it had some rare parts. Im not sure what was going on in the kitchen tonight, but the staff and manager were awkward and clueless in response. I ordered a lobster roll to replace the steak but the bread was burnt, there was no mayo, and it completely lacked flavor. While we were comped for the 2 steaks and given a free dessert, we were still charged for the replacement lobster roll and we absolutely overpaid for mediocre to bad food, incredibly slow wait staff, and a very disappointing experience. Such a shame, I came here a few months ago and it was so wonderful that I chose to come back to celebrate an occasion. It was such a bad experience, we decided to redo the celebration somewhere else.

Well, I usually love the Perfect Landing as it was quite and located at Centennial Airport with a great view and the food is OK, but no more. The latest noise factor makes it as noisy as a Waffle House. Who in their right mind would play a loud piano during brunch?? Within five tables of the piano no one was having conversations and everyone looked annoyed, including us. It is still morning and trying to “jazz up” the atmosphere ruins the place. The food has been not so great lately as well. The wife’s burrito was cold in the center. My omelet was raw in the middle and toasted on the outside. Yuck. The last half dozen times or so going there the place was loud and the food less than good and the service has gotten slower and slower. The service has always been slow but having to ask multiple times for sugar and three times for the bill is not acceptable. Between the screaming kids, the loud piano, s*l*o*w service, and the food going downhill, no more. The view is still great, but if the restaurant were not located at the field we would have stopped going long ago. We’re done now.

We would have expected this place to be more child friendly given childrens obsessions with airplanes and the restaurants description, however, it is not. There were four of us with toddlers and there werent any high chairs available for the kids. The waitress seemed nice enough but must have had other things on her mind as she made several mistakes on our orders and failed to mention the increased price for fries vs. chips. I feel you should mention this when offering it to customers as "would you like fries or chips with that? And please note, the fries have a slight up charge of $3 per plate, if this is what you decide to get." That would have been a nicer way of notifying the customer vs. when you hand them the bill. The place is nicely situated around the airport allowing customers to watch the planes come and go. The food is also good so other than not having high chairs and the waitress being a bit absent minded, its a nice place to enjoy a meal. I personally am not likely to return but for couples a without kids, I think its worth the food and view.
