My Fience and I are new to the area, when we say Carlos Miguels, we decided to stop in. The inside was beautiful, and I thought we were in for a treat. I couldnt have been more wrong. This was the worst mexican food I have ever had. I eat mexican about three times a week, and trust me when I tell you, their overpriced food was relentlessly horrible! I ordered Carne Asada cooked medium, knowing that it wouldnt ever come out medium.... not too hard to mess up. What I got was a well done, cooked to death, absolutely no seasoning, peice of leather. I asked the waitress, who didnt seem to know what she was really doing, if there was supposed to be any seasoning , and she said no, theres salt and pepper on the table, and people like to season their own. The chicken that my wife ordered "looked" better, but when it came to taste, well.... there wasnt much to it. And the chicken was also overcooked. Our bill came to 50.00 between the two of us, and we each only ordered one drink. Thats a high price to pay for food that went in a box, and eventually into our dogs bowl.

Our waiter seemed bothered that he had to walk all the way over to our table in the middle of the dining room and suffer through listening to our menu choices. It wasnt as if we were taking too much time or being indecisive. He just acted like he would rather have been any place else but there. Then, after the ho-hum, run-of-the-mill, typical, strip-mall, barely-average Mexican food was delivered to the table (by someone else), we didnt see our waiter again until we flagged him down to get a check. There are far better places to get far better Mexican food, for less dinero. My recommendation is to skip this place, and let it wither on the vine and die (so to speak). Then there will be room for a more worthwhile restaurant or business in their location.

We love Carlos Miguels and since we live in the meadows, we often eat there. The ambiance is relaxing and yet fun. We love the food...our favorite dish is the fajitas over the clouds. Contrary to what another reviewer wrote, we find the chips fresh (still warm and crispy) and the salsa has a good flavor. Of the many times my husband and I have been there, the service has always been fabulous except once (that was the night of Starlighting two years ago when Carlos Miguels was packed to the gills with customers.) Overall, I would definitely recommend Carlos Miguels!

Food was great. Went in during happy hour with 3 adults and 2 kids (under 10). When i got my bill there was a 20% GRATUITY included with my bill. Never was i explained why the fee was there or was there a disclaimer in any of their menus. I been coming to this place for years and have never been charged gratuity with my bill. Tried to look for a manager but there was only 2 servers around. Not happy with that low way of obtaining my money. I would rather spend my money somewhere else that is upfront with their fees.

I used to always go here for the pollo de crema. It was outstanding. Tonight however was horrible. My chicken was crunchy (undercooked) and the sauce tasted awful. I sent it back for a crispy relleno. The cheese in the relleno was not melted and the ranchero sauce was not good. My fiance had the chimichanga, which he described as bland. Must be under different management or maybe different chefs, but we will not be returning. I only gave 2 stars because the service was good.

I have always enjoyed my experience at your restaurant... the managers and staff have been so wonderful and welcoming... but, recently we have come in and realized the old manager has left. paul, the new manager, is not hospitable or engaging. not only with the customers but with staff. it would be nice to come in with a welcoming smile. I will always consider this restaurant as one of my favorites, but would sure appreciate a manager that appreciates us coming in

This evening 4 of us ate at this one. I have found over 10 years, beginning with the one in Colorado Springs, the food and service is very consistent. Today was no exception. Our server was "Alex" and he did an exceptional job. The older couple who were with us experienced Carlos Miguels for the first time and they felt the food was "a grade above" other Mexican places they had eaten. Hats off to very consistent experiences each and every time we go. Joe

The food was unremarkable: my Pollo Asado was not completely flavorless, but hardly mouth-watering. The salsa that came with the chips was passable, but didnt seem especially fresh, spicy or flavorful. The refried beans were of a baby-food consistency and equally as bland. What turned me off the most though was the fact that our waiter either could not or would not split the bill for our party of eight.

Felipe the "manager" is so rude and obnoxious I can hardly stand him, he is mean with his co-workers and doesnt serve the customer .. I love the food there but he makes me not want to come back....I am also speaking for other family members that have been very disappointed with this particular guy name Felipe .....he should be working in a place where he doesnt have to serve

Service was weird, not very attentive, confusing when sitting at the bar. Food was pretty good and everything seemed pretty clean, but, it was lacking the connection you want from the service at a restaurant, so youre not wondering where they are or if theyve forgotten about you.

Ive been all over the country and this place is as good as any. Im from Texas and we like our tex-mex. Very good sevice and good food. Drinks are a little pricy, but as to be expected at a nice restaurant. If Im ever up this way, I will be back to eat!

I have been going to this place for years and they recently changed the menu and the food is terrible. It is always Under New Management but the same terrible waiters always stay. Theres a new manager every month

Good, not greasy. Good service, clean atmosphere. Management is solid. Better than youd expect from a strip mall type setting. Coming back when its not raining to enjoy the view from the patio.

Nice vibe. But we ordered our food (3) of us and then a group of (5) cops walked in and ordered like 5 mins after we ordered. Their food was brought out 10 mins. Before ours.
