I dont remember the food being this bad last time I was here. I ordered French Toast the slices were thin and had no flavor. I make better French Toast at home. The bacon was rubbery and black as if they didnt clean the grill and it then sat all day. We also ordered a spicy stake omelet again it had no flavor, none whatsoever, no salt, no pepper, nothing. When I brought it up to the waitress she was very nice and understanding and informed us that they dont use any spices in their food at all as a "policy" .. well not much you can say to that . I tried to finish my food adding my own spices, but you cant put lipstick on pig to make it pretty. I talked to the manager and she comped our whole meal. I made sure to tip our waitress, its not her fault. If you are an aging octogenarian with a doctors restriction on flavor this is the place for you . For the rest of you I do not recommend it. I dont understand why their ratings are so high for restaurant with a policy of adding no flavor to their food at all?

Every single time Ive been here the dishes were dirty and French toast was soaked and raw. Lipstick marks on the cup can be hard to wash off but nobody wants to drink from a cup with a strangers old lipstick marks so they need to learn to clean better and buy better soap. Also I didnt appreciate being given a partially open and dirty straw. Food is just terrible here. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. A lot of the other reviews are good for this place and I dont see why. This place should have tried to redeem themselves by offering me a discount or something since they had to remake my food and I didnt get to eat at the same time as my partner. They could have at least said sorry. Very unprofessional.

My daughter and I have been going here for breakfast on Saturdays for six years. The wait staff have always been really gracious, and always made us feel welcome. They accommodate special orders with no problem: despite all the ham and bacon on the menu, you can manage a really healthy (and tasty) breakfast. If you happen to have a deck of cards at the table, Sam might stop by and show off some of his tricks.

Their specials are delectable, their breakfast is the best in San Jose, morning, noon or night and their portions are LARGE. Unlimited refills, constant attention from both wait staff and busboys assure your meal is hot and your beverages full. The people are almost Minnesota-nice! Go there, youll enjoy it

Country Inn is a staple of Almaden culture. Its been here forever and the food is consistently fantastic quality. The owner knows his customers. And is great about receiving feedback. I frigging love this place. Try the Swedish pancakes with the lingonberry butter. Theyre to die for!

Sam and the crew are the best. Weve gone there often over the last 12 years and have never walked away saying anything except "that was great!" The dinner specials are creative and delicious. Of course, for me, its hard not to order one of their omelets with pancakes. Go Giants!

Really good food here. Its a nice small mom and pop breakfast lunch dinner place. The waitresses and bus boys are nice and helpful. The food portions were big which made me want to review this place. Highly reccomend if you like a classic restaurant with good food.
