I read the reviews on Google and thought that since it had good reviews I would try out the place with my husband....The chicken chow mein was really sweet and the chicken had a smell to it and was really dry, the chicken fried rice had no salt the taste was very bland didnt have any flavor to it, the mongolian chicken we asked for it to be extra spicy and instead of being spicy it was really sweet and too much sauce and the chicken had a weird smell to it, only good food there was the fried chicken but that also was not served with any type of sauce they just gave us the chicken without sauce so it was a little dry so we asked for some chilli paste I would definitely not be going back to this place...we ended up not taking the left over and also it is over priced!!!

I give this restaurant 5 stars because it is one of the best restaurants I have EVER been to. the environment is so peaceful the staff is so friendly and outgoing the place is spotless and the food is just amazing and I especially love how their fried wontons or anything else that is fried there isnt dripping with grease I can tell they strain them out for so long because its never dripping with oil and if you go anywhere else anything that is fried is a little greasy absolutely LOVE LOVE this place! I highly recommend if you happen to be in the area to stop by.its worth spending your money there

I read previous reviews and thought Id try it. Im not sure what the previous reviewers were talking about but this place is horrible. The dining room was hot and uncomfortable. The food was gross. I wish I could say differently because I really do not like giving bad reviews, especially to small businesses but this place was bad bad. My family and I got several different items and not one had a redeeming quality. The chow mein and fried rice tasted old and bland. Dont waste your time and money.

Great place to get takeout. A nice little family run restaurant. Their restaurant is clean and the service is good, but I prefer takeout and so do most of the people in the area. Dont be off-put if you dont see many people inside. Love their chow mein, best in the area. The sweet and sour pork or chicken is also good.

Best chinese food in the 209! I travel 40 minutes just to eat the delicious food served here and its well worth the hastle. If you are dinning in the restaurant offers a proffesional atmosphere, great for bussiness meetings or an impressive family dinner. I highly recomend trying this place out.

The Golden Bowl is Salidas best Chinese restaurant. They are friendly and clean. I rate it one of the top three in the Modesto area. Besides Beijing and the Imperial Garden, they offer a close off highway location. The parking is not so good but you can usually park in the lot for the hotels.

I would say that this is the most consistently good Chinese food I have ever eaten. Their garlic chicken and beef chow mien is a miracle on a plate. I used to eat at their Ripon location but have made Modesto a destination for their food. Long live Golden Bowl , The greatest of all time..

I love that place and the employees are really nice to me. Their food is excellent, but they have their rare days when the food is kind of dry. Even though they have their days, I will stay loyal to them. Especially since they are close by to where I live.

Rude! Rude! Rude! What else can I say! I couldnt order a meal because I was not two people.... Are you serous! What a joke. Rude and totally inconsiderate. (I wanted 2 meals) but because I am only me she would not serve me...... Good job!

Service is always great and very personable. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. The food is amazing and tastes so fresh. The price is very reasonable and you always have more than enough. Best egg flour soup Ive ever had as well.
