Location: We were recommended by our concierge at The Westin Villas and was a quick, traffic-free drive from our hotel. Service: We were seated right away and our server was very helpful. He was very knowledgeable about the menu, which made it easier for us to readily order. Other servers in the restaurant were also a great help and in a very good mood, often making jokes and being outgoing, which made the environment very relaxed and welcoming. Food: We ordered the Taco Fiesta, which serves 2-VERY hungry people, because there was MORE than enough food for 2. All the meats were exquisite and cooked to tenderness perfection. Food came out very fast, which also helps if youre hungry. For dessert we enjoyed a flan, which was very sweet and tasteful. Overall a great dining experience for our first night in CA and giving more truth to the sign in the restaurant that reads on your way out, "See you tomorrow", which couldnt be anymore spot on.

I travel a lot, so i get to eat a lot of Mexican food. I rate it 2 starts because of the service and the quality of food due to their mistake. Nothing spectacular here. I placed an order for carne fajitas and add jalapenos in with the peppers/onion mix. I get home and realize they gave me calamari fajitas not carne. I called, they put me on hold a bit, then told me to come back. I brought the calamari fajitas back to show that I was not trying to change my mind and that I did not eat any. The waiter meets me at the door says he thought I said calamari. Nothing else. No apology. I had to drive 15 minutes back to there from the hotel. They did NOT give me any soft shells (since the ones I originally got were not cold), when opening the carne fajitas at the hotel, they barely put any peppers in it, a few onions, and then jalapeno slices in a separate container (uncooked). Not a good experience and will NOT be back.

The food is great, particularly their Fresh Quacamole, made at the table. Best ever. Food is really good and the wait staff couldnt be better. They try really hard to make your visit great every time. Its our favorite place now, the food, the owners, staff, music, EXCELLENT skinny margs and LOVE that they branched off and left Armandos for the tourists and their place for locals and regulars. The margs may be a bit pricey, but they are great, like getting two plus in one glass. If anything goes wrong with the meal (which doesnt happen often) they will fix it or make up for it every time. They appreciate the business unlike their competitor across the way.

So glad we decided to check this place out while on vacation! We shared the tacos for two which included rice and beans for each of us, tortillas, and an assortment of carnitas, carne asada, chicken and chorizo with salsa, guacamole, sour cream and peppers. We were stuffed as we couldnt stop eating everything up...the meats were so good and the spicy chorizo was a fabulous surprise. Hubby had shrimp enchiladas and may have licked plate clean! Cadillac margarita was served with no ice and was strong! No complaints on that one...will be back again no doubt about it.

We came on a very busy night so we knew we would have to wait. But we were instantly seated in probably the best outdoor seat there was (lucky us) the weather was perfect, the sun was setting so we had great view of that. The waiter was pretty quick to take our order, we both got blended margaritas...mine was banana yum!! The drinks were delicious and we didnt have to wait to long for them, like I said it was a full house. We ordered the enchiladas rancheras with shrimp and shrimp quesadilla. Both amazing, we were very satisfied at the end.

Service was poor. We waited for over 35 minutes for the taco fiesta special and when it arrived some of the meat dishes were cold. By that time we just wanted to leave. It appears that if you do not order alcohol, then they do not care about you. (We were asked several times if we wanted a drink) The dish was average once it came. Some of the meats tasted good and would have rated 3.5 stars if we did not have to wait so long. It was busy when we arrived, but by the time we were served the place was only about one third full.

We ordered five main courses to-go. Upon arrival home we found that none of condiments i.e. guacamole, sour cream or avocado had been included. After a lengthy phone conversation it was agreed we would get the condiments we paid for. I spoke with the manager regarding the 5 meals now cold, one hour wasted and an extra 15 miles RT. As compensation I received a weak apology and a "free" dessert. This free dessert was one churro broken in half after another 12 minutes wait. With the ratings we read we were thoroughly disappointed.

This was a cute place with good food, but the staff was too disorganized. We watched as the hostess told people there would be a 45 minute wait when the restaurant was clearly half empty. The same tables were still empty when we were seated. Reserv ations were held for people who clearly never showed up. ( Half of the people left not wanting to wait). The restaurant is VERY loud and they absolutely need some music. I hope the owner looks at these reviews, because there are great comments he/she should be implementing.

Recently moved here and have tried many mexican restaurants and this one beats everyone else by far. Outstanding shredded beef quesadilla, Chile rellemo was light and fluffy, nachos were fully loaded and nicely hot and melted. Service was quick and it all made for a really good meal...didnt order a marguerita but most people on that Saturday afternoon did and they raved about them. Very busy place as the day progresses so plan accordingly. Youll love this place.

Thought the food was okay. A lot more fun before when they had entertainment ... that was what set it apart. No music, even piped in when we were there approx. 4:30pm Service was excellent. But $8 for a margarita ... and during their proclaimed happy hour? (Check the website.) My gf complained that she had to go for the $13 margarita to get fresh lime juice in hers ... um, there is a lime tree growing outside our condo for goodness sake!

How hard is it to use fresh yellow rice and fresh refried black beans?? Why bother calling yourself "FRESH" agave and when the basic sides are of the canned variety and the drinks are made from mixes?? The dishes themselves were mediocre but at least they werent microwaved Old El Paso. 100% overhyped. The staff wasnt even particularly pleasant even when you speak to them in fluent Spanish. I wish I could forget how bad it was.

Service was great and the food was amazing. If you order the guacamole appetizer they bring the avocados and ingredients to your table and make it right in front of you, with whatever you tell them to put into it. I also had carne asada tacos which were the best tacos Ive ever eaten. This was an extremely satisfying meal, and I recommend it to anyone with a craving for something south of the border.
