Very disappointed with my experience today! The only thing positive I can say is the decorations were cute. We got seated and we were at our table for 25 minutes before we got offered anything to drink. I asked for water and got a class that tasted like dish water soap. I asked for something different and ordered a lemonaide that was warm. We ordered our food and for two of the orders, we ordered sweet potatoe fries. We were there for another 35 minutes and the waiter came back to tell us there is no sweet potatoe fries. So I ordered fruit for one of the orders (made it clear the person who I was ordering this to go order did not eat fries) when they brought the box back it of course had fries. I told them I did not eat garlic fries for my order and my husband said he would eat them. I told them I can not eat garlic and to to please box the garlic fries up for my husband, they were for him..I cant eat garlic! After another 20 minutes, my plate was put in front of me with very fragrant garlic fries with my chicken tenders thrown on top. Big communication issues! I told the waiter I cant eat this and he took the plate and said they would remake. I waited another 15 minutes and the chicken tenders were horrible. They were had thick lard that wasnt cooked. Then another waiter threw the garlic fries in front of me when I asked them to be boxed. I went to pay my bill and told the cashier I was very unhappy with my experience and she laughed and said "that happens." Very disappointed, no one discounted bill or apologized.

We frequent this restaurant and have always found the food to be good, the portions large, and the prices reasonable. However, I have had problems with the takeout service. The latest being an order for a Tuna melt that wasnt. It was a toasted tuna sandwich with cheese. The correct way to make a tuna melt is to place the tuna and cheese on one slice of bread, place the second slice on top, then grill the sandwich on both sides which will toast the bread on one side and melt the cheese. This is not what I got, and didnt discover it till I arrived back home. This the problem with takeout service. It appears in this case, it was the cook who required additional training. My comment is be extra careful if ordering takeout to ensure that you get what you ordered properly prepared.

You could not pay me to eat at this dump! How this place has stays open is beyond me. The food if thats what you want to call it tastes like a huge serving of bear poop dunked in a fryer served with mac & toe jam cheese. When I ate here not only was my service terrible from a tweaker looking woman named Dawn (of the dead) she was not up to par on her personal hygeine, smelt like B.O. and cigarettes. Prices are way to high for the quality of the meal and service, I was so disappointed because people had ranted and raved about the one in Walnut Creek. If only I would have known they were serving the used toilet paper from the charmin bear commercial I would have never visited this gut wrenching diner!

Para darnos lo q pedimos se tardaron una eternidad y eso q no tenían muchos clientes y las enchiladas q pedí enrollaron la tortilla sin nada adentro solo queso encima tenia. Y todo esta caro. Dejemos lo caro q me hubiera gustado. No me hubiera importado no te lo recomiendo

I always love coming to Black Bear Diner. They have great food, wonderful service, and the prices are just right. Always a good amount and I usually end up taking some of it home. The coffee is also good cuz we all know some places the coffee isnt drinkable but here I always have at least 3 cups (but Im a coffee person). So if you are in the neighborhood and want great food wit great service center to Black Bear Diner, and if you like spicy get my favorite spicy sausage breakfast (tastes just like Parkside Markets homemade sausage).

Usually really like the food and service but today I went with a group and had to wait for an hour. When we asked if we could go to the room with more space they said no. When we asked if we could order our food or our appetizers while waiting they said no. And when we asked if we could seat at least a part of our party they said no. We are very dissapointed with the service we had today. And do not know if we will be coming back soon. The food is good but for this type of service Im not so sure its worth it.

Amazing staff went on Thanksgiving morning since that was the only time I was gonna be able to spend time with my family. The food was amazing and huge portions. Only thing I disliked was when I went to pay the gentleman told me to wait for the other lady then five seconds later rang out another lady who was on line who was behind me. Other then that great visit

Awsome awsome awsome!!!! The food no matter what you order is always good. The staff has always been very friendly and prompt. Nothing bad to say about this place. Only down fall which has nothing to do with the restaurant is the parking lot is kinda tight fit if you have a truck or SUV.

Well today being fathers day and all it wasnt as packed as I thought it would be... My son went ahead of us to get a table and it took about 40 minutes to be seated... It was 105 degrees outside and there were no fans to help cool the place down even with the cooler on ... I was still hot

Delicious food with nice size portions that are big enough to share. Nice selection of food. Lots of comfort food.. breakfast all day, burgers, sandwiches and pie! Pies are made fresh and so yummy! Staff is really friendly too. Prices are fair, atmosphere is comfortable and clean.

Not sure what to order, Manager suggested a chicken club w/different kind of toast. Delicious! Ordered onion rings as a side, best ever. Some places over cook or burn the crust. Taking the whole family sunday and recommending same to our church. Thanks to the Manager.

Customer service and food are awesome. We went in at just before 9 and I didnt even know they were closing until I asked what their hours were. They never rushed us, ask us to order to go. None of that. Then to top it all of the foods was great.

I love Black Bear Diner. We eat here frequently. I was telling my husband before we left the house, I want meatloaf, mashed potatoes with brown gravy and their famous green beans with bacon. Well, they took it off the menu!!!!!-

They have good food and good ambience. The only part that I dont like is that Everytime we go there to eat we always have to wait at least 25-30 minutes to be seated, other than that everything is GREAT including the service!

Ive gone times . I drove from baypoint to Oakley just ro come here 1st time biscuit was so dry just left on my plate complained they didnt offer anything else pretry upset .. dont know if i will ever make it back..
