I was a patron of the original Five Guys in Arlington, VA, and I was stoked when I first noticed the location that opened up in Madison. I really missed their burgers - we used to send interns on Five Guys runs when I worked on the Hill. The menu is super simple (although you wouldnt know it from how long someone took to order the last time I was here), just burgers, dogs, fries, and drinks. If you order a hamburger, you get two patties cooked to order. You can choose all sorts of toppings, from fried or raw onions, to BBQ sauce, to my personal favorite - some A1 sauce. If you get a regular burger (and not a 1 patty burger), you might want to split your fries with a friend, as they give you a big cup overflowing with their fresh cut fries. I go with the cajun fries (cajun seasoning sprinkled on). The only disappointing thing about these new Five Guys locations is that the buns are not as good as the original. The Arlington location had a bakery next door that baked their buns fresh every day. That said, they are as good as anything else out there in the quick service burger segment. Oh, and while you wait, you can help yourself to some complimentary peanuts!

This was my 1st time at a 5 Guys. When I told my friends that I had Five Guys for lunch, they werent expecting me to talk about a great burger. This place is boss. The burger is juicy and kinda messy but so is my life. Fries are fantastic. We sat next to a pallet of potatoes that didnt know what was going to happen to them and it was good. Fresh cut fries from local sources and you can get seasonings on them like Cajun and something else less good than Cajun. Just get Cajun. Youre welcome. Im not always up for bun play so I asked if I could get no bun on my burger. Guy was like heck yes bro, want a lettuce wrap? No idea what that is but ok. They wrapped my burger in lettuce so I could eat it like a burger. I fell in love that day.

The first time I tried Five Guys was after my first half marathon. The burger is delicious as well as huge! If you order fries with your burger, make sure youre hungry because they come in a paper bag and once you start, its difficult to not eat them all even if you are full. The food is all made fresh so it takes a little longer, but is well worth the wait.

i went there once and the wait was long, but worth it. their fries are really good. and made with peanut oil so its not as bad for you. (: it felt like an old fashioned burger place. the people were friendly. and it wasnt that expensive. i was so surprised by the buckets of peanuts! haha it was worth it. i want to go back. their foods yummy. i love it.

The burgers on State Street were okay. Not a family atmosphere. THe first time we went to 5 Guys in Florida and we were WAY more impressed. My husband insisted we try 5 guys on State because he LOVED the burgers. The hot dogs (the only thing for kids) were NASTY! WAY over done - burnt! Id go to Blue Moon or Nitty or Dottys. The fries were good.

There is nothing half as good as a Five Guys burger. If you want greasy, cheesy, meaty deliciousness, look no further. Not to mention the customizability options allow you to always get exactly what you want from your burger. I would recommend it even if it was just Five Guys Burgers, but when you add in their fries, the deal just gets sweeter.

This place is great. They will do a delicious bunless burger and their food is so tasty. I was just in there and they made the innocent mistake of only putting one patty on my burger. Rather than just add a patty to my burger they insisted on making it all over again. Great customer service

A bit on the expensive side, but well worth it. Their burgers are outrageously good, and every time I want to sow some mayhem, I get their cajun fries and throw handfuls into a crowd of people and watch folks fight each other to the death for the fries.

Your standard burger joint. It was a little bit dirty inside, but the burgers were good and the fries were greasy! Give Guys gives free peanuts, so definitely worth it if you love peanuts. Be wary of the large fries - they give you a lot.

If you want a good double-patty burger for about six bucks, with cajun fries and bottomless drinks, Five Guys is the best place to go. If you dont like their fries, get a burger and walk down the street to Parthenons for theirs.

My only knock on five guys is the price - definitely pay more for a burger and fries than most joints... but its worth it! The best big greasy burgers youll find at a chain, and all you can eat free peanuts.

Known for their great burgers - and for a good reason. Always quick service, always cooked right. The fries, are usually of the soggy, salty variety. If that is your thing, get those too.

Lots of Greasy Fries, peanuts and burgers. That is what Five Guys are all about. If you are hungry, you will get fed. The food is so-so. Not my first choice for where to eat.
