I just had major surgery so am unable to cook. My husband has talked to the Dairyland staff and gotten a daily soup and daily specials menu and for the last two days has been getting two entrees and bringing them home. I cant tell you how wonderful the Dairyland staff has been, the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! And my goodness, they send a LOT of food! I have definitely fallen in love with Dairyland, and will be shouting their praises from the rooftops!!!! Keep up the great work!!!!

Friendly, relaxed atmosphere as to be expected in a family diner. Salad and soup were decent, but the entrée was deplorable. I ordered a 12Oz Ribeye with red potatoes and corn on the cob. Steak was done to order but tough and other very flavorful. Three small potatoes halves and half ear of obviously frozen corn. The complimentary dessert (chocolate cake with cream fill) was probably bought from the local grocery store a week ago. Should have had something from the breakfast menu.

Its not that I dont like a little bit of gravy on my turkey dinner, but covering the whole meal doesnt make up for the food being low-grade. I have eaten here twice. The first time my seafood pasta dish was acceptable, but not outstanding. The seafood on the pasta was obviously canned, which is mildly annoying, but acceptable for the price. The second meal was a turkey dinner that was COVERED in a soup of gravy. Totally unappetizing and I wont go back.

Being from Chicago, I love/appreciate the neighborhood greasy spoon. My whole family likes this place, mostly because it reminds us of our old stomping grounds. They feature your breakfast staples, some sandwiches & of course, nightly specials for the seniors. It wont be the best food you will eat, and the menu isnt creative, but its a nice place to settle into if you live nearby. The staff is always friendly, and the owner is always around to greet you.

Im very picky when it comes to my omelets. I require fresh veggies! This place...man this place... had the best western omelet Ive ever had. I will most definitely be back. Fresh veggies, not over cooked and not under cooked. Not too much cheese and not too little. The eggs were fluffy and oh so good. We had to wait a few minutes to be seated but it was soo worth the wait. This is my new restaurant of choice when visiting the Madison area.

Walked past this place while heading to a job interview. Had about an hour to kill so I stopped in. Great small town diner atmosphere. Reminded me of my favorite places back home in Texas. I had the Denver omelet and it was excellent! I felt at home here and will definitely be back again and again, especially when Im homesick.

Went there on a monday morning, with my daughter, the younger, blond, waitress, set a hot plate on her hand, still red three days latter, didnt seem like she cared at all. The thing about it is she reeked like booze. Dosnt her boss care? I will never go there again. The food wasnt good eather, maybe the cook was drunk too!

Wonderful breakfast and service! The coffee rocks. Ive been going here since I was a child with my grandparents. Its hard to find a 6 dollar breakfast that gives you half a plate of hashbrowns 4 slices of bacon, 2 pieces of toast and 2 eggs in Madison. It seems like breakfast elsewhere they skimp as much as they can.

Such a nice family restaurant where any can eat by oneself or with many. Homemade cheesy potato soup every day - plus another choice. The menu has everything you might like. Homemade desserts. One of my mothers favorite places. Waitresses are so friendly!

This place is alright if youre looking for an inexpensive homestyle meal. Their french onion soup was delicious, but my pasta dish was only okay and tasted like they used canned sauce. The service was excellent however and the menu is huuuuuge!

McDonalds has better food...the host was rude. Ordered blueberry pancakes. Dry hard pancakes with blueberry pie filling smothering the plate. Biscuits & Gravy was cream of chicken soup with brats over greasy biscuits. The waitress was friendly

The workers are unsanitary and smoke and drink beer in the back by the garbage and do drug deals on the property. I saw this waiting in my car waiting to meet my wife for dinner and made her leave with me to go eat somewhere else

This is my second time here and just like the first time the food was absolutely amazing, and the prices for the portions is out of this world. Im new to the Madison area but this is becoming my favorite restaurant by far.

My husband and me stop coming here a year or so ago because the food was disgusting last time, today we decided give a new chance to this restaurant, and let me say was excellent, good food and service, no regrets.

A really nice diner style restaurant. Heres what makes it better than other diners. One example: Real cheddar cheese in the breakfast burrito. Real sour cream. Great service. Reasonable prices. Generous portions.

I had the Atlantic Cod Fish dinner which was just ok, at $11.95...I think they could have given a free dessert! They did offer it to my friend who had a turkey dinner!...They were both off the dinner menu...??

I always come here. The service is great. Everyone is very friendly. There is so much good food here I struggle figuring out what I want! You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. I wish I could live here.

Delicious food, friendly staff & a warm atmosphere. Usually pretty busy, easy to see why, however Ive never felt rushed, ignored or that the food took too long. Favorite local diner!

Typical diner fare. Food was not pleasant. Worst coffee, I dare you to find worse. My simple order was also messed up. Expensive for the diabetes they serve you.

Quality of food can be a little hit and miss, but for the most part its good food in a family style setting for a low price. Coffee pouring never ends.

Biscuit and Gravy Benedict. YES. All the yes. Atmosphere is a love song to 90s chain dinner aesthetics. Menu is exponentially better.

We loved the food and I cant say enough about how great our waitress was. My kid definitely wants to come back for another "sammich"!
