Best breakfast place I have ever been to!!! From the moment you walk in the door, you can tell that this place is different from other breakfast restaurants. I saw a banner recently that they were voted Best pancakes in Mchenry county and I have to agree with that 100%. I eat here often and almost always order one of their 4 egg omeletes and hash browns and of course the three fluffy pancakes. I have also had the french toast which I have to admit even I cant always finish they are so big. Finally, the salads are hearty and tasty when I feel like I need to watch my boyish figure. The staff is friendly and treat you like family which is rare to find these days in the service industry. I will certainly continue to come back often as I hate to cook. ;)

My main issue is that they wont seat a partial party. Literally had to awkwardly stand there for about 10 minutes waiting for my husband before I could be seated. This would be fine if they had a small waiting area, but they dont. You are literally just loitering in the way. The chairs are lined up along a small hall where everyone has to enter and leave so I just felt like a burden. Also, I never did find out who our waiter was. No one ever introduced themselves and at least 3 people brought stuff to our table without saying a word.

Could the service be any worse? I took the waitress 15 mintues to greet my party and bring us drinks. Then she rushes us. Our coffees were never filled. The food came out cold. My omelette had onions which I said over and over again to please make sure it was without them. The portions were good but not for the price. I dont want to pay 15 dollars for a full breakfast meal (drink included) no matter how much food there is. Not a fan.

Breakfast here is delicious! But be sure to go early or later to beat the crowd as it seems to be everyones favorite breakfast place in town. The menu is largely breakfast dishes, but they also serve lunch. The last time I was there I had some fabulous banana bread french toast, that I have not been able to stop raving to friends and family about. I have never had bad meal here and the service is great.

I have been coming here for years. I was one of those fortunate ones who started becoming their regulars back then when they were called Reeses. They really have grown over the years and served the hype when they changed names, moved and expanded. I moved out of state but have family still in town and when coming back to visit, this place is one of the places on my "Chicago Fixes" list.

Its not so much a dislike of the place its more of the server or greeter, supposedly the table was ready but Jonathan has a policy were all the people has to be here at the time some how some one after me had people on their way an he had no problem takin him to the table so he could wait for the rest of the group seem a little unfair

The menu and food are OK and the prices are reasonable. Couldve been me but I noticed a lot of the food items are just repurposed, i.e., a skillet can be turned in to an omelet which can be turned in to something else. I get that this is common for breakfast places but nothing really stood out to me as unique. Service was good!

Finally, breakfast and lunch done with style. Impeccable service. The menu isnthe ordinary by any means. The coffee is better than average. My favorite is hearty oatmeal, with a dash of yogurt, apples, cinnamon, pecans and honey. I always get a side of strawberries and blueberries. Itseems a beautiful way to start the day.

First time coming here, so delicious, service was good. Table order famous french toast, lemon crepes, veggie skillet, and the french omelet. Everything was SOOOOOO good. My son (1 yr old) is obsessed with blueberries and they gave him a little bowl of them, he was so excited. Super tasty, will be back!!!

The food is well worth the wait. They just moved to (around 2.2011) a new location so I would say that MK was directly affected by it. Never had a bad meal and try to go there as much as possible. I wish there was a way for the owners to respond to these reviews. Some of them are completely wrong.

Ive eaten here a few times and each time the service is awful and they rush you to be able to be able to seat others at your table. The food is ridiculously over-priced and their bacon is never hot... Seriously? its a restaurant that specializes in breakfast for petes sake..

Terrible food and make sure your wallet is full before you walk in. Dont know why anyone would go there to pay $2.50 for coffee and $2.75 for hot tea. Ill go two minutes down the road to the new breakfast spot to enjoy better coffee at $1.75. Thanks but no thanks.

I had the worst experience here, the hostess/manager didnt have a clue about running a restaurant. The owner yelled at one of the servers and used profanity in front of all the customers, needless to say the food sucked and was way over priced

We were seated quickly - luckily it was at a quieter time. Our waitress was great - attentive and knowledgeable about all items on the menu. Our food was really good, hot, fresh, and well prepared. Prices were reasonable . We will be back!

Great food and atmosphere but the newer hostess (older lady) is kind of rude. She started our experience off a bit rough but our waitress Hannah was great! Super friendly, knowledgeable on the menu; We will request her every visit!

Seriously, wish we had one in Wisconsin that was closer! This place has the best eggs Benedict, pancakes, and a chorizo and eggs skillet. Will definitely be making stops here when we travel through the area again!!

We have been coming to Burnt Toast since they were located in a little strip mall. The atmosphere and service has not faultered at all with their growth. Love this place and the staff that has seen my family grow.

Great for the family or friends. Warm environment. Wonderful, genuinely caring owner! Good service. The French Toast is the best in the County. They should get better coffee though. Reasonably priced.

Wonderful soup and well priced entrees. Only downside is the treatment of my wifes food. She is celiac and server allowed bread on her plate. Not awful wife is just uncomfortable eating there now.

We had a graduation party for three of our grandchildren today at Burnt Toast. The staff accommodated our large party with a smile. The food was really excellent and everyone had a great time.
