We have enjoyed this place since the 1970s, and regularly dine there with family 4-6 times a year. And we have had staff lunches there for 12-14 people. However, that has now come to a sad close. They decided to change the place to cater to an apparent younger crowd. The class is gone and has been replaced with French style food, and slate-like motif. The piano is even gone! Now you can get a $16 hamburger with brie cheese and sweet chutney type trimmings...gave it to the dog. I dont think we mature folks are going to be going there much in the future...I hope the young crowd they were shooting for has money. Too bad, we will miss the old place with its charm and fine fare.

First and last time I will waste money at this restaurant! Beautiful view and that is about it! Lobster was cold and under cooked! I requested a dessert to be brought out for a birthday surprise and the waitress totally forgot! We were maybe 1 of 4 couples in the restaurant at the time so no reason to be forgetful from being busy. Very disappointed

When we get "our" table the evening goes on and it is like taking a step back in time to relax and enjoy the view and the food. We will be back as often as we can. A special place

Loved it. Great location right on the water. Nice rooms, comfortable bed, excellent linens and pillows. Beautiful view from restaurant. Would definitely stay here again.
