Very disappointed with my recent visit to this place. It looks very nice outside and inside, but whats lacking is the food. My girlfriends margarita was all fruit and ice and no alcohol. The dishes definitely didnt deserve their $15 dollar average, which is ridiculous for average run of the mill refried beans, misc lettuce and rice. My chile relleno was soggy instead of the crispy fried taste its supposed to be. And the chimichanga looked like the kind of stuff you pull from the frozen box. To top it off, our server had the personality equivalent to a lump of bricks, and did not take care of us. Will not be back.

Considering we are not in Los Angeles, the food here is the best restaurant quality Mexican that I have found on the east side, by some margin. If you like places like Azteca, Ixtapa, etc., that seem to be really popular up here, you may not be able to appreciate Mi Tierra (I know it sounds snobby, but really, Azteca/Ixtapa is really, really lousy Mexican food, coming from a Mexican/American from Los Angeles). This place is very decent. Would probably be a 3-4 star in Los Angeles, but definitely a 5 in Seattle considering the other options for Mexican.

Im kind of mystified about the rating this place has. I dont personally think Im a picky person about things but its the Pacific Northwest I think higher standards should be a requirement for eating out around here. Ive sent back maybe 5 drinks ever and the "mojito" I had here maybe had booze in it. Super sweet like it could have been a sprite. The food was extremely mediocre considering there are so many good Mexican places around. Service was fine I just expected alot more I guess. Also the mens bathroom was dirtier than most gas stations.

Ordered the street tacos, the steak was excellent however the steak to onion and cilantro ratio not so good. At one point I took a bite and the cilantro covered the roof of my mouth and stuck to it. Great service even though I showed up with a large group. Food was out fast even though the ten of us had all different orders. Atmosphere was excellent, very authentic! Over all loved it!

Slow service, they put our name on their seating list 3 different times and we waited 40 minutes after being told 15-20. Skimpy portions, no refills on drinks, got bones or something else gross in my chicken taquitos. Ordered a coke, they forgot and then delivered 20 minutes later. Rice only tasted like oil. Wont be back.

Best Mexican food in town and Roberto the bartender is one of the greatest people Ive ever come in contact with. He is genuinely a nice person who cares about his guests. He also makes the best margaritas ever. Ask for an ultimate with a Tajin spice rim, you will not be disappointed!

Ive had Mexican food all around the west coast. Mi Tierra is easily at the top of the list. Excellent service, huge menu and reasonable prices make it the benchmark for good Mexican food on the Eastside. The dining rooms are large and very clean. Parking is never a problem.

Very family freindly. The outdoor seating is lovely. Service is great. Beans always seem to have too much cheese, but I just skip them. My secret favorite dish is the chicken tortilla soup (grande) with lots of meaty chicken breast, avocado on the top. Yum - and its cheap!

Awesome atmosphere. Great salsa. The bartender Roberto is really rude though. Also I have seen them fill baskets of chips using bare hands to fill the basket. Lots of room for improvement. Hate to say 2 stars but rude Roberto really takes it down a couple of notches

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Great food, good atmosphere, friendly staff and great value for the money. Always leave happy and content. Lunch specials are great, fajitas and carne asada for $10 are hard to beat.

Go and get the Ultimate Margarita. Im also a big fan of the carne asade there. Spent last Cinco De Mayo there as well, but the drink specials then were a rip-off and not special.

Great authentic Mexican food and I may have given them a 5 star if their abondigas soup was better and not to mention the chx was a little dry the last couple times we went...

It is hard to find good Mexican around these parts, but this place does the job perfectly. Sopa de Albondigos, Tres Pollo Tacos Asada, Sopa de Tortilla, all perfect.

Good service and fun place but the fajitas were a bit greasy. Will likely give them another try because the carne asada was great last time we were here.
