Whenever I make it down to Vancouver, WA I always find time to visit Tan Tan. Why? Four things. Excellent service, OUTSTANDING food, affordable prices, and OUTSTANDING food. Its family owned, and everything there seems to be made from scratch, made daily by "Mom". John, our usual server and (Im guessing owner) never leaves our water glasses half empty and always has great recommendations. I usually get the Pho with the steak, brisket and meatballs and always leave happy. My friends are obsessed with the Lemongrass pork Bahn Mi with a fried egg (yes, you can add a fried egg AND the bread is baked fresh from scratch every day.) I recently tried the Tom Yum soup, a little weary of straying from my usual satisfying path -- and it was beyond amazing. Yes, Tan Tan is mostly Vietnamese cuisine but they definitely cook up Thai dishes that give other Thai restaurants some heavy competition. The Phad Thai is great. I order the Lemongrass pork salad rolls every time because they are finger-licking-delicious. I will die happy because Ive had the pleasure of eating any of their Lemongrass pork dishes. The Vermicelli bowl hits. the. spot. You can even purchase their special secret spicy-sweet chile sauce found on all the tables to take home in a container... its up there with the versatility and goodness of Siracha. And speaking of containers, all of their to-go plastics are top of the line quality -- so leftovers are always my second delight of the day. Hassle-free parking as well. Oh, and their homemade apple pie is delectable. Tan Tan forever!

I preferred this place over other nearby options when it was called Tan-Tan, but I feel like under the current ownership that the quality that was perhaps falling off at the end with Tan-Tan has been restored and even taken up a notch. The food was well-prepared, the vegetables were fresh and the portions were excellent. The salad rolls are big and fresh, and their peanut sauce is served warm with an excellent thick consistency. We really like the vermicelli noodle bowls with pork - its still item number 63 from the old Tan Tan menu :D The service was prompt, cheery and polite, but not overbearing. It was an excellent balance. The dining area lighting is a bit dark, contrasted against the bright windows up front that look out into the parking lot, which can make the lighting situation challenging sometimes, especially for getting good pictures :-) The parking is more than adequate, although I cant always see my car from my table if the few spaces directly in front of the door are occupied.

I was in town for a quick lunch with an old friend, and she invited me to Tan Tan. I being a rookie at Vietnamese cuisine had no clue what to order. Since I arrived first, I ordered the appetizer platter that had a little bit of everything. It was HUGE, and delicious. There were a couple types of meat, fresh salad rolls, spring rolls. When my friend arrived we shared a pork bánh mì sandwhich, I also ordered a bun filled with some bbq pork(?), and we shared an avocado smoothie (they split one into two cups for us). everything tasted fresh, and delicious. I wish I remembered the name of all of the dishes. I am sure I will be back, and next time I will remember!

Hands down thee best Vietnamese food in Vancouver and many other places as well. Ive tried it in a few other states while visiting and it has only left me ecstatic to return home and head to Tan Tans! A friend and I eat there literally about once a week, they are always friendly, kind to our messy kids and the food phenomenal! The Pho doesnt always taste exactly the same which is one of the things that I love- you can tell it is made fresh and even though it doesnt taste the same each time it has never been less than amazing. I suggest the #51- Wonton Pho and the Salad rolls (they also have the best peanut sauce) YUM!

This place is worth the short drive up I-205 into Vancouver. Its the best spot for Vietnamese Ive ever found. The staff is so helpful and willing to explain any dishes you have questions about without making you feel ignorant. Theres a lot besides pho here, and be sure to try the pate cheaux, a vietnamese meatball in a puff pastry shell - one of lifes pleasures. On my mission to eat my way through their menu, I have yet to be disappointed. I LOVE TAN TAN!

Ive ordered Pho from here dozens of times. Love the large portion size and one order fills me up right. Great broth flavor, and healthy portions of steak! The salad rolls and peanut sauce are superb. They are also quick with take our orders. Service is consistently friendly and attentive. I wish there were more places like Tan Tan in our neighborhood.

It was very fresh and the staff were nice. We had the regular Pho and vermicelli noodles. Both very tasty and a delight paired with a thai iced tea. On our way out we took some steamed buns. The coconut flavor ones are so worth it but we didnt try the red bean ones. We liked that there was so much variety in the menu and will certainly visit again.

Came here last week and had the Pho. Good stuff ca;t go wrong there. Actually had a conversation with, I assume, the owner. These folks are the real deal. I'm trying their Ca Ri (curry) is Vietnamese my first time. Ill update in a minute . The jasmine tea is perfect!

I always come here when in the are for a $3.50 banh mi. They are delicious and if it were near me I would eat one every day. My wife loves the wonton soup. Everything we have had has been delicious and the staff are very friendly. Our go-to spot for Vietnamese in Vancouver.

Love this place and have been here many times. On cold days I love the Photo Special or #40 in the menu. On warm days I like the pork options with vermicelli and a boba drink. The banh mi is great here and good for lunch, I love the lemon grass pork the most of these.

The server on Monday April 17th (that has black hair with orange tips possibly Cambodian) was eating noodles while serving my husband and I. She was really very sloppy. The service was terrible. We loved the sandwich but we wont ever be back because of how unprofessional

Best banh mi in the Portland area. Their lemon grass pork (my benchmark) is on point. They also have great curry puffs, which is a rare find in the US. My wife loves the pho here, but cant speak to that personally. Im too busy ordering a sandwich.

Frankly, one of my all time favorite restaurants. Huge portions, low prices, and the flavor cant be beat. Decent vegetarian selection. Curry fried rice is a great choice. Good service. Ive always left here satisfied and happy.

Really good banh mi! Pho is good but I dont recommend the mi wanh tan here. Excellent avocado smoothies as well and fresh naked Vietnamese desserts (although variety can be sparse sometimes).

This place is horrible. They gave me pork instead if chicken and added jalapeños when I asked for no jalapeños. They dont have good service and I am disappointed. Never going there again.

Its not very pretty on the inside but the food is fast and cheap. Key word for everything: cheap. I do like this location but not enough to consider it any more than a last resort.
