I work nearby and thought Id try this place one day when I forgot to pack a lunch and the result is that I have mixed feelings about this place but, as bad as this sounds, Im actually glad to hear that other people got the same treatment I did because it really felt personal at the time. I will start by saying Ive been here twice and had the BLT both times and it was good the time I had poor service and alright the time I got good service but overall its a sandwich I would eat again. I just reviewed my emailed receipts and turns out Jeremy was my server/cashier both times which is crazy because the first time I went in I felt like gum on the bottom of a shoe. He was rude, inattentive, sharp and treated me as though my patronage was interrupting his day. He was fast at making my order though so that was cool. I ended up paying $13.10 for a blt and a 12oz can of San pellegrino which is INSANE. Without even advising me that hed auto selected what appears to be a TWENTY percent tip he rudely turned the pos my way and without realizing what Id done I confirmed a FAT tip which he very much did not deserve on that occasion. I tried to make small talk to engage him because I have worked in Customer service for over 10 years and.... CRICKETS... actually, not crickets, just attitude. But then to my complete surprise I went in today and he was like a completely different person, greeted me pretty quickly and was joking around a little and even commented on how another customer rudely closed the door in my face as I was trying to leave behind him. Although the food wasnt as good this time so you either get attitude and good food or someone pleasant and undercooked bacon with oil soaked bread.. Idk if he was just having a bad day the first time, doubt it based on the other recent reviews, or if hes going through personal stuff but seeing as he was talking about how slow theyd been Id think hed try to put on a fake smile at least. You have to fake it til you make it sometimes. Probably will not be returning as Id like to flat out avoid another encounter like the first one I had.

I want to start off by acknowledging that the restaurant industry is a tough industry and that everyone that I know works hard in it. However, I cant NOT post a review about the irony of the restaurant name and the service we received. The experience started when I walked in w/ my niece in toe. The gentleman behind the counter seemed almost annoyed that I was coming in to dine. I almost felt like he was put out by our arrival. Nonetheless, based on the Google reviews, we sat down to order some breakfast before our flight departed for Jackson Hole. To start, we ordered some coffee. We were given a pair of cups that couldnt have been cleaned... My cup had syrup of some kind lathered around the rim and down into the cup (I didnt explore its origin) and the other cup had coffee grounds inside of the cup. I think most people at this point would have called it and gone somewhere else... Oh, no... We were stubborn and decided to order. Bad call! We ordered our food and it arrived completely not as we ordered it which was not under or over cooked. But, thats what we got. At that point, we gave up, begrudgingly ate our food, and just left. The host was so annoyed by the sight of us that the best part of our interaction was when we paid our bill. He was happy to complete that interaction. Personally, Friendz is the wrong name for this place and if you want above 3rd world cleanliness I would recommend a Sharis or Dennys. I travel abroad to some very odd and unique places where food prep is questionable. This is the only time Im actually thinking we will have food poisoning.

I work in the area and have eaten at this cafe on and (mostly) off for the past several years. But on a recent visit this summer I was so grossed out and taken aback Ill probably never return, which is too bad because the food is actually pretty good! The usual afternoon counter person / "manager" seemed like I was some kind of burden to serve, totally unfriendly and uninterested in taking my order. Despite the fact that I tried to remain courteous and chatty. After telling (not asking) me to take a seat and bringing my lunch out to their little patio he proceeded to light up a cigarette not 5 feet from where I was eating and began telling me all about how "hes the manager there now, even though he basically did all the managing before anyway..." and on and on. Thankfully another customer came in soon after so he stubbed out his smoke and went back inside. I actually feel a bit bad writing this review because the food is good and I can tell theyve done some upgrades and painting inside. But the food is over priced and the staff person was rude. Get a new "manager" and hire someone friendly and willing to work and I would go back!

Worst experience Ive had at any restaurant in a long, long time. We literally walked out after waiting for our food for OVER 45 MINUTES. What did we order? An omelet. And eggs. In the 45 minutes we waited we got one refill of our coffee and no explanation as to why everyone else in the restaurant had been served before us although wed been there the longest. We finally threw up our hands when the server came out with 3 heaping plates of food.... And bypassed our table again for 3 other customers. Unbelievable. There were so many ways the owner couldve made this situation right and he never bothered. We left without eating, which Ive never done before. He told us hed cover our coffees. Gosh, thanks. Skip this neighborhood spot for somewhere more reliable with way better food and service!

Friendz is definitely the wrong name for this place. I do not understand the reviews about service with a smile. Server (photo added) did not greet us, put the menu down on the table and left. When I was ready to order my sandwich, he interrupted me saying I could not order that one because they were out of sauce. Not an apology, not a suggestion. It was clear on his face he did not want to provide any service at all. Burger was served raw.... Just avoid this place at all cost. From other reviews here you can see management only engages with positive feedback instead of addressing the issues presented by customers.

DO NOT GO HERE! Ill never spend money here and hope you dont either! The owner was extremely rude and didnt even allow me to order. I walked in and greeted him with a smile and a hello to which I got no response. Afterward, I was looking at the menu on his board by the cash register and asked what kind of cold cut sandwiches he had (it is posted as "cold cut sandwiches"). He apparently didnt like my question and got super nasty. Sorry, youre not the soup nazi, you cant command service from your potential customers. Owners that take no pride in their business should go out of business! DO NOT GO HERE!
