Way more than just another coffee shop... The Station, run by Luis and Leona Rodriguez, is the heart of the community and has transformed the neighborhood since it opened a few years back. Because of this cafe, everyone now knows everyone, and the Stations support of community art, music and general well-being is remarkable. The cafe recently moved from its small, intimate space on 16th Ave to a larger spot across the street; but its retained all of its atmosphere, improved its food offerings, and the new espresso machine turns out fantastic coffee. Super-nice staff. Also, dog-friendly! Treats on the counter... Beacon Hill is still "unfashionable" (which we residents like, of course), and the restaurant choices here are pretty minimal compared to many other Seattle locations. But Beacon Hill has the Station, so eat your heart out, other neighborhoods!

The anti-establishment joint! Great coffee, awesome staff and wonderful atmosphere. If all that youve experienced living in Seattle is corporate coffee, you are doing a disservice to yourself and your senses. Their Mocha Mexicano is exceptional because its not hershey chocolate! Your barista will pull out a block of Mexican chocolate and hand grate the bits for your drink. Now lets see Starbucks or Tullys do that! Luis, the owner, is passionate about his work, his customers and most importantly his product. You can see this excitement come out when he talks to you and remembers your name and favorite drink. This shop offers free wi fi and usually plays an eclectic playlist of music ranging from jazz to rap to soul. Prices are very reasonable but the experience and atmosphere is invaluable!

Quirky & hyper-local coffee shop, with quality drinks & an atmosphere that defies conventional modern coffee shop motifs. Its a place to gather, to converse, and to enjoy a strong sense of the Beacon Hill community. The back patio area is surrounded by buildings, which provides almost a courtyard feel. On certain days they offer Venezuelan arepas (sandwiches) and then a spattering of sweets & treats on a daily basis. The inside feels a bit cluttered, and the outdoor tables are a bit wobbly, but overall a fine place to enjoy a drink.

The coffee is delicious. I usually get a latte of some sort. They have a lavender latte thats amazing and the pastries have been fresh and tasty as well. Super cool little coffee spot, lawn chairs out front, for how small it is theres quite a bit of inside seating. I believe there is a cool deck out back where I havent checked out but the pic I saw was cute. Dogs/puppies welcome, next door to my daughters Kumon (math tutoring) and across from El Centro de la Raza and the playground there.

The Station is Beacon Hills hottest coffee spot. Swing by and enjoy the house Mocha, titled "Mocha Mexicano" and delicious tomales every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Delicious sweet and savory scones are served daily. Great service and music. An amazing back patio and WiFi is available. Fan of wine or beer? The Station has what you need after a long day at work. Happy Hour runs from 3pm until closing time at 7pm. Wine, beer and sangrias all $4.

I just went there for the first time a week ago. The owner is passionate about coffee and about community artists and getting to know his neighborhood. The space is bright, funky, and a great hang-out. Free wireless internet, a deck/patio, bar seating by the window, and best of all, its on a small side street a block away from light rail. It feels like a classic Seattles-own-European-cafe type coffee shop. Walk in and meet the neighborhood!

the station is often busy, and there are many good reasons: the owners are community-oriented and care a lot about the neighborhood. the coffee is good. the spot is cozy. and there are plenty of sandwich/grab&go food options for your breakfast and lunch-time needs. come by and support local black & brown businesses in seattle.

Not only is it a friendly & cozy environment, I love the relationship they have with their customers. Seems like everyone is a regular. Ive only been there twice and they remember my face :) I love their outdoor patio, its a nice hidden private spot for reading and unwinding.

What an adorable coffee shop! Intimate feel (but not insanely cramped), small seating section out front and on a back patio,l plus four small tables inside. Reasonable prices ($.50 extra shots!), good coffee, sound internet connection...I have no complaints.

I love The Station. The environment is lively, the service is always stellar and the coffee is delicious. Their pastries are a bit typical, but occasionally fun. I go to The Station whenever I can, and I recommend it readily to others. Highly.

The Station is a friendly coffee shop in an interesting space. the owner mans the counter himself much of the time and the coffee is comparable to other shops, only with a slightly lower price.
