Now this was a pleasant surprise! I think the name had something to do with it - exactly what should one think about a place with "saloon" on its name? Bar food, right? Fried regulars, finger food? Well, youd be wrong. Have you had Pork Wing? I didnt even know what it was :) And thats how pleasantly surprising this food experience turned out to be. First timer, so leaves a lot more to happily explore and discover - as I always say, #FindEatBurp! Saloon ambiance. Excellent for groups. Friendly service. Moderately priced. Parking will be your challenge. A few free street spaces and a mid sized paid lot in the area (short walk).

From the outside this bar appears to be a complete dive joint, youre parking near rusted abandoned cars and it gives off anything but a safe atmosphere. This all changes as soon as you enter however, it has a very cool rustic interior inside. There is a row of pinball games and a slightly carnie vibe, as well as a small stage for live acts which is separated from the main area. The crowd that was there was extremely mixed, from blue collar drunks to college kids doing homework to punks. It was also fairly lively for a Thursday night, which leads me to believe others feel the same way.

Ive had too many piss-poor experiences with the staff to ever consider going back. These incidents include some prejudicial behavior, wrong food and drink orders, general rudeness, and blatant stupidity. This is the type of place that thinks theyre so cool that they dont have to provide good service. Been there forever my ass, I spent a lot of time in this neighborhood growing up and all this bullshit is new. The food is mediocre on its best day. Id tried about half the menu on various visits and none of it impressed me, at all.

If I could give this 0 stars I would AND I havent even eaten here. We tried to go here for a friends get together, but unfortunately they do not take reservation. Instead we tried to purchase a gift card for this friend, I called that morning they said they DO have gift cards, then when we arrived they couldnt find the gift cards. When I called back and asked to speak to the manager they just set the phone down and hung-up 5 minutes later. I will never eat there, the level of professionalism and service is atrocious.

On a particularly frustrating summer Friday I needed a beer at lunch. I was also hungry. The BLT (plus avacado) & tomato soup was absolutely tremendous! As a bonus - it was served up by the most attentive server/bartender in a gorgeous summer dress. Yum! Give that girl a raise for wiping down the bar before I sat down, knowing the specials by heart, going out of her way to help others and just being plain awesome. ;)

Been going to Jules for years. Good beer on tap (kinda wish they had a few more options) and they pour a stiff drink. Great food - top notch burgers and sandwiches, plus tots! I dont have any service complaints like some have said; Ive never had a problem with anyone there, they are always friendly, even when slammed. One of my favorite places, for sure.

jules maes is a classic, old seattle, working mans bar. it was more of a dive bar in the past (which i always loved about it) and still has that feel, but is very much improved because of the upgrades. the food is really good here and the staff is on top of things. a great place to get a drink and have a bite if youre in georgetown.

I believe this is oldest bar in Seattle. Its appearance is trapped back in 1940s with iconic wooden bar feature. Laid back/blue collar atmosphere with really delicious food! The wedge salad and Pork Wing Mac is a sure hit of comfort food. This place is oddly cool and raw but a great stop when in town. Second time here, love it.

Good food, Mannys on tap. I always go for the chicken fried chicken. Ambiance needs some work. Its too bright in here. Especially in the booths. If they swapped their 60 watts to 30s or 45s, I think it would help. Its an odd comment, I know.

This is a classic in Seattle. The food is quite good and the bar is well stocked with great beers. There are game tables in the back. I recently went to a birthday party in the back room and the service provided was good.

A good place with a lot of history. They make a delicious breakfast, a dynamite Bloody Mary, and do good drinks and atmosphere the rest of the day. Definitely a good place to tie on a couple beverages with friends.

One of my personal favorite spots on the Georgetown strip. The CFS is the only one in the NW worth having and everything else is great if you are not a CFS fan. Service is also really good as well.

Tomato soup and grilled cheese. Pro tip: Make sure to dip your sandwich in it. Bonus: Go with a friend and make them order tatertots. Toss a few in your soup when theyre not looking.

Neat old bar with some vintage atmosphere. The menu is pretty standard and small but the food quality was great. Service had a strong showing too as my drink was never empty.

Old school saloon with historic ambience. Friendly staff and locals with good food and beer, places like this are becoming harder to find. A gem in Georgetown.

Fun place - great services, good bar, and a cool place to be in Geoergetown. Good food - better than your average "bar" - more upscale but reasonable prices.

Seared Ahi tuna sandwich hands down is a must and their Clam chowder is insane! The only downfall to their clam chowder is its only served on Friday :(

The food here is good. The beer selection is good, but not broad. The vibe and decor is great. The benches could use new covers though.

Great little old bar. It feels very Sodo SoPa, but without feeling forced or like its trying to hard. Great hot sandwiches!
