I went here with my wife for my birthday in february in the evening. The food was exceptional. She ordered the catfish and I had the ribeye steak. My wife grew up on southern food and commented that this is how catfish should be made with real cornmeal batter. It seriously was the length of her forearm. The steak was just as big probably around 14oz and with lots of flavor. I had one of the Louisiana beers and with a generous tip total was 60 bucks. I give the food 4.0 stars for price and flavor. The main dining room was dimly lit which made reading the menu difficult for some diners. They had to pull out their phones to read it, which was a distraction to the dining experience. Had live music and the guy playing was awesome. Mostly classics and had a decent easy on the ears voice. Lastly the wait staff was busy that night restocking bottles of wine, so we didnt get the super service that requires a 5 star. We were checked on two more time after we got our meal. Overall I would come back again for the food and hoping for better service.

This is one of my favorite restaurants already, but I was having a craving for a great steak, and even though we moved further away, the drive was worth it! When we got there it was late and the kitchen was closed. The owner saw us come in and told us, no problem, please sit down. Then he went and made our food for us himself! A little apprehensive, because hes the owner, and not the regular chef, but to my surprise it was so great! Just what I was craving. I have to say, this owner takes so much pride in making his customers happy and wanted us to enjoy ourselves. He was so attentive and made us feel so welcome and treated us like family. Even though it was late! His so was working there too, and he was so nice, made our drinks and they were awesome too. If I could give more stars I would. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Best steak, cooked to perfection, and portions size is insane. You have to try it. My other favorite dish here is the Shrimp and grits, it is to die for. But thats just my opinion.

Service was terrible, our waitress took forever to bring our drinks. Our food took even longer. We were there for about 3 hours. Most of the time was spent waiting and the other times were soent eating terribly cooked food. When I think of Bourbon Street I think of the south, flavoring, spices, well cooked food. They should either change their name or get a cook who knows how to cook southern style food. Their poboys are bland, shrimo and grits have no flavor. You cant pride your self on Cajun/ creole style food and not deliver 100%. I think this place can be great, great little place, great location, parking could be better but thats not their fault. They should probably tell people they arent kid friendly. They have a section away from the bar and smoking but I still dont think its a great place for kids. I hope they step it up more with flavoring and being true to Cajun food.

We are travelling and asked Yelp for recommendations. This place was the best choice in the area. Food was tasty with nice flavor combinations but service was weird. For example, we asked for some bread while we were waiting for our meal and apparently the order had to be put into the kitchen, which resulted in our bread coming out with our meal, which kind of defeated the point of having bread while waiting. I had one of their specials which was a Cajun ribeye. Nice flavor but the quality of the meat itself was not as high as I expected. The menu did say choice, not prime, so I should have expected as much. Ambiance was decent, maybe a bit loud but that was probably just the group of women at the next table. Overall an experience worth trying again. If the service could be improved a bit they would have a hit.

Located in the heart of old downtown Puyallup. Its a tiny location, with room for about 16 people on the under 21 side and about the same amount of space in the bar. Speaking of the bar - they have a great selection of cocktails and a wide array of spirits! We found the Jambalaya, Gumbo, PoBoys, Fried Oysters and Beignets all quite good. They were solid without tons of personality. However we didnt care for the Seafood Pasta, which was an unusual combination of almost an etoufee and stew/pasta dish combo. There was a good amount of seafood and the dish was big - but the flavour was mediocre. Service was excellent. Our wait person was attentive without being overly so. Food came quickly and was nice and hot. We will return but avoid certain dishes.

My fiancé and I ate here for dinner today, and wow, amazing. For the appetizer we had the stuffed mushrooms, and for our dishes he had the Cajun shrimp, with garlic fries, coleslaw, and hush puppys, and I had the seafood pasta. With my finances meal, it came with a tasty dipping sauce , and for mine, they didnt skimp on the shrimp, mussels, and scallops. The food was awesome, but the service was just as good. They made sure our drinks were kept full, and offered wonderful suggestions, on top of being really friendly. Well most definitely be coming back again. My fiancé who travels quite a bit (hes a pilot), said he hasnt had Cajun food this good since he was in New Orleans.

We went there with another couple and ordered drinks and dinner after our dinner should up 90 minutes later we ask for another drink and was cut off. We we where In The family section of this tiny restaurant away from the bar. The bartender said we where loud and drunk after one drink. We wanted the manager be he had just left. We just wanted to know what had happened and the staff was rude and asked us to leave. I have never been treated that way! They sat us and never even said anything till we order more food and drinks. I dont know what happened. I will never go there again. We felt terrible on a double date.

Themed but not executed. No flavor development, cheap farm raised shrimp and skimpy portion of flavorless sausage in an overpriced bowl of tomato sauce and rice they try to pass off as jambalaya. Seafood pasta was just as bad, basically penne covered in jarred vodka sauce with a laughable portion of cheap bay shrimp and overcooked mussels, both farm raised Im sure. Crab cake appetizer was flavorless, mushy, and served over Asian sweet chili sauce of all things. Obvious the owners have no understanding of what Cajun and southern flavors are or how to achieve them. Go somewhere else.
