It has been a very long time, and never in San Francisco, since I have witnessed such an egregious failure of basic restaurant management. When we first arrived, there were a few people ahead of us. We advised the hostess that we had arrived, and of the size of our party, which was 2. We then proceeded to watch tables being filled with parties matching the table size that had become available, but had ARRIVED AFTER WE DID! Yes, they were actually seating their 2-top and 4-top tables in a manner which best suited the table size, NOT THE ARRIVAL TIME! Eventually, we were seated, after even yet another couple, who arrived after us, was seated BEFORE US. After we were seated, it took almost 30-minutes before someone came to take our order. All the while, to-go orders were steadily moving out the door. It appeared that these were being given priority over orders actually within the restaurant. It took almost 45-minutes for our appetizer to arrive. By this time, almost everyone who had been seated before us had ordered, been served, eaten, and had left the restaurant. Two parties who had been seated AFTER us had ordered, been served, and were waiting for their check, when my I decided to tell them to cancel our order, and that we were leaving. Even after all this, the hostess expected us to pay for the whole meal, even things which were NEVER SERVED. My husband firmly told the hostess that we would be paying for nothing more that what was served, and what we consumed, and then we were leaving. The hostess looked astonished. My husband is immensely persuasive. She attempted to apologize, and told him “dont worry about it”. We left, hungry and angry, after paying for just the appetizer. We will never return to this place.

I got some food delivered one evening so we just went off the highest rated items on the menu. We ordered a few dishes but didnt order rice, thinking it would come with (but it doesnt). The food was delivered in a timely manner and was warm when we got it. I got a chicken dish and was a bit disappointed as the chicken was a bit rubbery. It could have just been the dish but I dont think Id eat there again with all the other great places in the city!

Went for late dinner (about 9 pm) on our way home from SFO. Initially it was pretty empty and the one server was attentive and friendly. Pretty standard Cantonese menu with more spicy dishes - the moo shu chicken and beef chow fun were OK, and the string beans and pork was very good - nice crisp finish on the pork. The room got pretty noisy when a party of eight came in as we were finishing, but all in all, Tenglong was okay.

Ordered from Tenglong via the Eat24 app on the way home from a late event. The delivery was quick and the prices very reasonable. The pork pot stickers were good, but nothing special. The garlic chicken was good although I thought too heavy on the onions and light on the chicken. Due note, dishes do not come with rice, you need to order this separately. Overall the food was good, came quickly and was fairly cheap.

One of my favorite no msg Chinese restaurants in the Richmond area. Tasty, decent quality, and attentive service. However, at times you can expect a long wait (30 mins). I tried mostly the seafood dishes all quite good - my favorites are salt an pepper shrimp and the spicy chili flounder. Portion size for veges should be much bigger for price.

My experience at Tenglong was magnificent! The food was great as well as the service. I only ordered the chicken wings because its there specialty. It was splendid,the sauce was spicy and sweet. Ill definitely come back to try other dishes.
