Do you like Korean food!?? If you do - this is a MUST TRY!! This Seoul Hot Pot is actually around the corner in a "strip mall" shared with Teapot restaurant. Its next to Performance bikes and the Mayuri Indian market. The food is soooo Fantastic! The na mul assortment (small little dishes meant to be shared by everyone at table) is Really Good! My meat eater friends love the Kal bi (beef ribs) and the BulGogi (seared chop beef) so much that they actually want to lick the sauce off the iron plate it comes in. (bizarre... but thats what they tell me!) I usually eat the vegetarian version of BiBimBap - without the beef. I ask them to substitute the beef for an extra fried egg. The bibimbap has a slew of vegetables (na mul) thrown in a bowl with a fried sunny side up egg. They give you a bowl of rice on the side that you put into the bowl of na mul. Then you pour the Hot sauce over the rice, egg, and veggies in the bowl and MIX everything up! The Bibimbap sauce is very good! Adds a great flavor to the dish. Another dish I love is called - chop chae (rice noodles with stir fried veggies). This is great for those who need a "Gluten Free" entree. I ask them for the vegetarian version... "NO Meat, please tell cook to wash out the wok before cooking" ... This comes out PERFECT!! Has the perfect combination of umami and sweetness. Yummm. I havent tasted any meat derivatives (meat/poultry fat, etc) thus far. A lot of the other Korean restaurants dont accommodate vegetarians very well, but this place does! Its Fantastic! My husband and I saw the great ratings that Seoul Hot Pot had (as of 9/7/2013) and were craving Korean, so we decided to give this place a shot. When my husband went to the restroom, he had a view of the kitchen from the hallway where he saw plates being dropped on the floor, and fresh produce was stocked in the open, uncovered, next to the bathrooms. Not sanitary!! Our food came out fairly quickly, and after our food came out, not one, not two, but THREE HUGE cockroaches crawled out of the wall next to our table!! We immediately alerted the staff and management, who tried to squish the bugs NEXT TO OUR FOOD and when that didnt work, they insisted on reseating us so we could continue our meal. We told them in no uncertain terms that our appetite was gone, that we couldnt trust the kitchen if there were that many cockroaches in the dining room, and that we would be taking our business elsewhere and never returning. We went to Hot Stone Korean on the other side of Redmond and were treated to fresher looking food, friendlier staff, and a cleaner dining experience. This place needs to be shut down and combed through by the health department. I have no idea how Seoul Hot Pot got such stellar reviews with how disgusting it is. Never again!!

To the people who commented on the mediocre-to-bad customer service, understand that the servers who are fresh-off-the-boat(newer to America culture) Koreans are doing what is normal in Korea as far as service goes. In Korea, the servers leave you alone for the most part unless you yell "Cho gee yo!" to them to get their attention. This may seem to be rude to do from the American perspective, but in Korea its completely normal. They dont purposely neglect and mean to seem grouchy, thats just a part of the culture. Just see it as you getting the more authentic Korea. But the longer they live in the states, the more theyll understand the customer service aspect in America. 4 stars just because Im used to eating this kind of food in Korea at half the price.

Seoul Hot pot brings various authentic Korean foods in Redmond area. Lunch menu are good for everyone: however if someone likes to try real authentic Korean food(s) then, should look for dinner menu. Generally fish dishes and tofu hotpots are well known dishes in this restaurant. • Service: Poor • Price: Average • Atmosphere: Average • Food Quality: Good • Parking: Good enough except during lunch time and weekend dinner time • Avoid factor: during weekdays lunch time (from 12 to 1PM) - too many office workers, parking, those could result poor service. • Recommendation: Tofu Hotpot, Chicken Soup (삼계탕), and 보쌈

Nasty. I love Korean food, but this place served me a meal that was so bad it made me angry. I ordered some pan fried squid, I was looking forward to the distinct Korean flavors of Kimchi and the sweetness of Bulgogi when I ordered this. Instead my first bite tasted like the bottom of a nasty grill that had not been cleaned in a decade. It literally tasted like burned garbage. I dont understand how the cook thinks this food they served would actually taste good. Save yourself the hassle, go somewhere else!

For me, any restaurant that causes my wifes eyes to light up at its mere mention gets five stars. In this case, my wife is Korean, and she knows and loves her countrys food. You might find less expensive places with better ambience, but the service is great and the staff are warm and friendly. For a place configured for lunchtime crowds, its nicer inside than most places designed to service peoples hungry quickly. A favorite of ours to drop into while running errands.

Went there Friday night around 7:00 pm Service was really slow and not very friendly. Food finally came and it was very disappointing. Portion size very small and needed a magnifying glass to find the beef that was suppose to be in it. Considering the high price for such a small portion, definitely will not return. Suggest people save there money and go anyplace else.

I used to like the food here. But everything here has become overly greasy and totally inedible. All the dishes (seadfood pancake, mackerel, vegetable noodles) we ordered were soaked with excess amount of oil and made me feel nauseous. After the lunch here, my stomache became upset for the entire afternoon and evening. I will never come back again.

Be aware of the large portion of the food! I cant have it all as a Asian girl... Hotpot, beef soup are all very good. Grill beef rib is a little too old/over cooked, Job Cha is a little bit too sweet and too much juice left on the plate. However, I like the side dished a lot! Service is OK. Good place to go if you have a craving for Korean dishes.

the food is great! oddly the service is variable.. the males working there are slightly above useless and the female servers are fairly attentive. I go there about once a week as everything on the menu is cooked to perfection, although perhaps not to everyones palate. Plan on an extra 15 minutes for lunch due to possible slow service.

I have been to almost all the Korean restaurants in the greater Seattle area and Seoul Hot Pot is as good as it gets. Hosoonyi is widely considered the best in Seattle but Seoul Hot Pot is giving them a run for their money. Their pan chan is great and their soon do boo is on par with Hosoonyis. I highly recommend it!
