Despite the abundance of Korean places on the peninsula, none of them seem to be first, or even second, rate. This place comes as close as any. My wife and I went there for lunch and chose from their lunch specials. She had the kalbi and I had the Soon Doo Bu. Both dishes were seasoned well, but the Soon Doo Bu didnt come boiling in its bowl so that I could boil an egg in it. In fact, no egg came with the meal. We had only five Pan Chan (side dishes) to choose from, which isnt very much. On the way out, I noticed that customers who had Korean people in their party had been given more, including Oi (cucumber) Kimchee. Since this is one of my pet peeves, I gave the low rating on service. If I am back in the neighborhood, I might stop in again, but I will not seek the place out.

Lunch special every opened day!! Not so Americanized, authentic Korean food. Seasoned just right. It seems like number of side dishes depends on what you order. Side dishes are refilled free of charge like a Korean restaurant should be. I get headache with MSG but I never had one here with any dishes Ive tried so far. My favorite Kirean Restaurant in Monterey area! Dont miss out the good stuff!

Food was nice but the waitresss serving was terrible. She never asked us anything u want even though we were starring her and said "excuse me" when she were passing by us. And her expression on her face made us feel uncomfortable. Ive never seen before the services like that in any restaurant. She should not have done like that.

Worst service we have ever had. Waiter was just this side of rude like we were an inconvenience. When I asked about a dish he gave a smart ass answer & walked away. There were 8 of us so we were not in a hurry which was a good thing. It took almost 45 minutes to get the bill.food was ok but I will never go back.

Really good little korean place. Out of the way, right in the middle of a neighborhood though so just keep your eyes peeled when you go. Food is great, the service is pretty good too. Theres a waiter or two that are younger and can have a little bit of a careless attitude, but nothing to ruin the meal. Try it!

For this side of the Bay Area, in our opinion this is one of the better Korean restaurants. Its tucked away in an unassuming Marina neighborhood, which makes this even more of a find. Good Galbi, Bulgogi, Japchae, and other food makes this a choice spot to get your Korean fix in the Monterey Bay area.

I agree the service is a bit standoffish, but I think thats better than the typical "Hi, my names Britney and Ill be taking care of you...I ten out of ten reccomend it!" The food is delicious and for $15 per head with tip youll be full and have leftovers.

Very good chicken bulgogi. Wife loved the soup as its hard to come by in Northern Cali let alone decent quality. Good portions, I got full and Im a big guy. Sides are average and a bit bland. Food came very fast and service was excellent!

The Wife and I, being new to Marina have been on a quest to find the local gems of the area and this is one of them. Fantastic spicy chicken and bibimbap, nice presentation and great wait-staff/cooks. Will be back again soon.

So this place is pretty awesome. We go almost every week, and now the staff knows us. The food is always really good, and the staff takes care of you. Unlimited refills on sides. Everyone should at least try a number 38.

Great place. Were just driving through and wanted to have something we dont have in our home town. One dinner plate is enough for two people to share! We ended up ordering too much. We had the bulgogi and chicken teriyaki.

The meat wasnt all that good. And the waiter kept cooking the meat for us, and wouldnt give us privacy at our table. Rice bowl was super small. Totally not worth it!
