Pioneer is one of 2 or 3 places in the valley where I spend my coffee dollars. Why? First of all, the coffee is outstanding and the service is unparalleled. Period. Second, Its a wonderful setting. It has all the required elements of a great neighborhood coffee shop. Its comfy and quaint. It has both indoor and outdoor seating, both of which are great for chatting and/or watching folks come and go. The exterior is mid-century art deco tavern, but that doesnt define it. The interior is eclectic antique and funky decor. But dont let that define it either. Finally, both Pioneer and its owner-manager are cornerstones of the community. If theres a local event or fund-raiser going on, they are probably involved. There is never a sense that the community owes them anything, and hey give back to the community far more than they take from it. And what more could you want out of a local business?

Its a cute little funky place. It reminds me of a college coffee shop that belongs in Berkeley or some other hippy, artsy college town. A bit dated but charming and theres something comforting in that. The coffee was okay; it did the trick. The woman working was extremely friendly and welcoming; she even washed out our to go cups that we brought in and, apparently, obviously needed it. I appreciate a local mom and pop shop. I could def call be a regular here.

Was wary upon driving up. Its not what I usually expect for a place with good espresso. But they knocked it out of the park. The shop is a bit eclectic with different tables and chairs throughout the space with some tables and chairs for outdoor seating as well. The baristas were pleasant and kind but seemed a bit distracted. Id definitely go back again if I ever found myself in the area

I love this place, but only knew about them from Cle Elum. Id just finished doing a Google photoshoot for the Si View Metropolitan Park and asked where I could get a "good" cup of coffee. (Anywhere but Starbucks please) and was totally psyched to learn about this location. If youre a coffee aficionado - go here. Downtown North Bend. Totally worth the extra few minutes off I-90.

Great cozy coffee shop featuring friendly people and good brew. They have several varieties of brewed coffee to choose from, all of which are good. Their pastries and lunch items looked great and those enjoying them nearby were all doing so with gusto. Added bonus - local art and crafts on display for sale.

The coffee was fine, but the service was braindead. Had to repeat the order because the two women behind the counter were busy chatting. Worst on a hot summer day they heated up our pastries without asking first. Because who does not want a pipping hot pastry on an 80 degree day.

Definitely my favorite coffee shop I have visited in Washington. Beans are roasted there. Drinks are served and presented as they are intended to. They also have a unique white coffee that has a higher concentration of caffeine if you need that extra boost.

Solid cup of coffee in a nice tea-shop type setting. Device can be wildly variable depending on who is working when you visit. Feels like a local place where the locals are friends with the staff and strangers dont get the same friendliness at times.

Came here with a friend before embarking for Rattlesnake Ridge. My friend ordered a London Fog, and I asked for the barista to surprise me, and she was able to make us both great drinks. The breakfast bread snacks they have are pleasant too.
