Service keeps messing up orders and food is always poor quality. Employees are average under paid kids trying to pay for college etc. Today they screwed up an order for the last time, at least 10 times in a row they have messed up orders I placed for simple things. Today I only asked for a begal toasted with butter. Again it was given to me 20 minutes later with cream chease not toasted. I told the lady this happena a lot and I just want my money back, which she said she didnt know how to do and said she would take my name and number for an "I owe you". Ridiculously stupid place to order food. They have a fake greek salad made iceburg lettuce, totally nasty. Im frustrated obviously wont ever get my money back for food they got right back after handing it to me. Im allergic to cream cheese, which they keep giving me when I didnt order it on my begal. Plus why cant I get my money back. Edit: cha ging to 1 star, ordered tea, got wrong tea, not prepared to go, then was charged to exchange my tea. I still tipped the girl but its stupid to charge a customer for a tea excha ge when its not what we ordered

Sometimes good, sometimes not. Staff are very nice, but place is not well managed. If there are more than a couple people ahead of you, the wait is always long, sometimes maddeningly slow. Food can be very good or not. When they are very busy, quality goes down. Their system of calling people back to pick up their food doesnt work well. Things are forgotten, food sometimes not hot, etc. If I were their manager, I would reexamine the entire system. These meals are not complicated, at least not the lunch items - soups, sandwiches, and salads. They need someone to figure out what is not working and what is slowing things down. There seems to be a lot of turnover here. Maybe they need to look at compensation, benefits, and/or training.

I used to come here regularly and really enjoy the experience, but not so much anymore. Unfortunately the service and food seem to have gone downhill - the former is sullen and the latter is extremely slow, with employees acting spacey and passive. Most recently I got a latte to go, picked it up with gloves on (cold day out!), drove off... and discovered it was lukewarm. The barista apparently hadnt bothered to steam the milk! I called a few times but was told that Gabriel, the manager, was not in each time. No reply to the message I left. I tried writing a letter, enclosing a copy of my receipt - again no reply. Disappointing. The location is convenient for the bookstore but I can get better food and coffee elsewhere for the same price.

The food and coffee are very tasty. However, remember to give them EXACTLY 48 hours notice when ordering anything. I tried to place an order just now (on a Saturday, just before noon) for two (expensive) apple pies to pick up on Monday at 8:30, on my way to work, for a work function. They would not fill my order unless I picked them up at noon or later, when I would already be at work. Again, I spend (or used to spend) a lot of money here, and felt that they could have made a concession in this case - Ill take my business elsewhere for my work function needs from now on.

Some of the worst service Ive ever had. The food was good, coffee was OK, but the service was so bad Ill never go back. They forgot my order, serving 3 people who arrived after me, and, when I politely reminded them, they were extremely rude. There are too many great restaurants in the area to waste time and money at a place with such bad service!

My daughter lives in the Seattle area and frequents Third Place Books. On a recent trip my daughter suggested we lunch at Honey Bear Bakery. I ordered the BLTA and must say the bacon was burnt black and bitter. I certainly hope that this was a one time deal and suggest that you instruct your cooks on the difference between crisp and burnt.

Great coffee, friendly staff, taaasty pastry, and located right next to an awesome bookstore. Whats not to love? If you stop by Sundays this is a great place to grab a coffee before heading over to the farmers market.

Great place to visit for breakfast and lunch. The bakery has a lot of options and the entrees are fresh and delicious. Despite being popular, ice never had too much of a wait with the friendly service.

Wonderful place for desert! Baked goods are some of the best around! I have had two different types of cakes here, and both were phenomenal! Cookies are also a wonderful treat!

Here yesterday. Caramel Macaroon cake was scrumptious. A well-worth-the-calories once a year treat. Expect to wait in line to give your order.

Honey bear offers fresh, delicious, healthy food in large portions. Every time I dine there, the service is exquisite, the portions are generous

Say no to the Chipotle Chicken sandwich and stale and greasy chips but definitely yes to the organic tea.
