How could this coffee shop have 4.4 stars? How could they have more than two? The cavernous venue is full of echos. The coffee is merely Stumptown. The employees arent very friendly and theres no WiFi. If there were competition within two miles theyd be out of business. Im willing to bet that the anonymous "Google User" whos posted reviews is a plant.

You might not expect amazing coffee directly off I-5 between Portland and Olympia, but Lava Java will change that expectation. Some of Portlands best baristi have come from there, and they know exactly how to make Stumptowns blends and single origins shine. I also dig their new space (across the highway from where they once were).

Love the crew there..... boss lady is so kind always asking each customer how they are doing. Her leadership extends to the team. And they always smiling.... Always love keeping it local. Great coffee. They may not know my name lol, but when I walk up to counter I will hear "Iced Carmel Vanilla Latte?" Awesome!

Ive been going a couple of times a week for the last five years or so...by far the best and most consistent coffee and espresso in the area. The owner sets and maintains high standards for what she serves. Lava Java continues to be my choice for a cup of coffee out and the place where I buy my Stumptown beans.

Only thing I would change about the place is the name. Makes it sound like a shanty drive-thru, when really they could do business in Portland based on my experience. Best (and I think only) place to get coffee in Ridgefield.

Super stoked to find this little gem along the highway. Normally north of Portland I have to sacrifice and get Starbucks but this at a coffee shop serve Stumptown greatly preferred

Every staff member is full of energy and they use STUMP TOWN COFFEE!! The best in the PNW! They have a Strada machine now. Recommend this over any Dutch Bros or Black Rock! 5/5
