This message is for the manager of this web listing. I wanted to make you aware that your reviews and description of the Greenhouse Restaurant provided here are out of date because the restaurant was sold and has been under new management since approximately March, 2013. The menu has changed as well the chef and service staff. Therefore, the reviews and information you are providing on this webpage are outdated or describe the previous owners service and food. Not very helpful to anyone wanting to know about this restaurant today. And not very kind to the folks who took over the restaurant. I recommend that you contact the restaurant to obtain current info and to remove the old reviews you have retained on here that are 2-3 years old. Doing that would benefit everyone. Thanks for listening. We have visited the new Green House Restaurant several times and have enjoyed the food and service each time.

Overpriced Dennys experience. The restaurant had un-bussed, dirty tables, making it seem like a grave yard. Despite the dirty tables, there were plenty of staff running around and running us out the door. We ordered 3 courses, all were served to us within one hour. The scallops seemed like they were cooked in an orange sauce made of melted orange flavored sweet tarts. The steak might have been from a microwave meal. As dessert was served, so was the check. 5 minutes later, the waiter was back to collect the check - as if trying to take the food right out of our mouths. We told someone who appeared old enough to be a manager - and he took the our credit card out of our hands and charged the full amount of the bill.

Just stopped in at 9:30 after seeing a movie. Closing time 10:00. Our server, Kim, was professional, friendly, and never made us feel like she was watching the time so she could get out of there. I had the gumbo, delicious! My husband had the beef bourguignon, a Caesar salad, and chocolate torte. They have a full bar, nice selection of wine and beer, and great desserts. Weve been there several times and the service is always top-notch. My only suggestion is that the menu is weighted toward seafood -- a + for me but a - for my husband who is a meat-and-potatoes guy. I havent been for their happy hour but according to a friend of mine, its the best.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere, comfortable , and mildly upscale feeling. The food on the other hand was a bit disappointing. I had the chance to taste a Philly French Dip, Hot Pastrami Sandwich, Split Pea soup, and Clam Chowder. The sandwiches were good but extremely salty which made them pretty close to being inedible. The saving grace was the Split Pea soup which was really tasty, the Clam Chowder was good but no where near a traditional version of it. It earned three stars because of the feel of the restaurant but could not give it anything else three stars because of how salty the food was.

Seamless service and nicely plated, delicious food. This is a nice restaurant - upscale casual. Regular meals here always produce the same, nice experience. Green House is consistent in service and quality. On my latest trip, my Cobb Salad was huge - with an entire chicken breast and half an avocado. It was dressed perfectly, and I had enough left over for another small lunch the next day! Dessert here is very good and if you want to indulge - go for it! The selections are worth the calories, baked goods are made in-house.

Lovely atmosphere and great service. All the food we received was delicious and nicely presented. My medium burger was cooked to perfection, tried the clam chowder and it was fine, not the worst or the best I have had, maybe a little too much bacon flavor for my liking. Tasted my friends Margarita (not blended ) and it was excellent. I was driving and so passed on having a drink myself, but looks like they has quite a selection. Definitely will return. Oh it is a bit on the spendy side, but worth the occasional splurge.

Awesome anytime. While a little pricey, the food is fantastic and the staff is attentive. Presentation is evident in every dish served. Food is as pleasing to the eye as it is to the palate. This is the place for a casual get together or to impress a potential business associate. One of my favorite places. Be sure to visit soon and often. Parking can be a challenge, but if you are willing to walk a little you can always find a place.

** I was very disappointed. My family and I ate 3 courses in less than an hour and were given the check while my daughter was still eating. I had expected a very special experience and felt very disappointed. I asked to speak to the manager and the waiter ignored my request. This is a new restaurant that could be very special. The food was fine but the service could have made it a neat night out.

Love this new hot spot! The service is great and the food is better. The bartender makes a delicious margarita from scratch. They have a lot of daily specials. The daily soup is always good and I love how fresh the food taste. Also I am wanting to try the fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I hope this restaurant makes it cause Gig Harbor needs more places like Green House.

All of the locations at Uptown Gig Harbor are "odd" to me, as theres a sterility to the environment. Aside from that, this restaurant is really great. Theyve kept the same decor as when it was Sips, and their food is really good. Nice staff. Had wonderful beet salad (hard to find and Im a sucker for it when I can find it)! Nice patio for outdoor dining. Will go back!

Food is wonderful and the staff is very friendly. Wine selection is impressive and they feature selected local brews on tap. On a nice day, you can sit outside on the patio and on the not so nice days you can sit near the fireplace inside. This is a very welcoming restaurant with fantastic food! You can never go wrong heading to GreenHouse!

The staff is beyond amazing and this has quickly became "Our" go to spot. The food is tasty, with plenty of choices, crab cakes, salads, burger, amazing drinks Deep Eddies Lemon Drop.... Love Kimberly, Gale, Troy, Cynthia and the rest of the staff could not be more welcoming and accommodating! Prices are good and great during happy hour!

Had issues with the gluten free options. Spouse got very sick (much worse than cross contamination). Avoid if you have a real dietary need to be gluten free (like celiac). Server was informed, spouse ordered from the GF options. The symptoms hit while still still there (folks with celiac, you know what I am talking about).

I had a great steak last night there. Everything was super tasty and the atmosphere and service was wonderful. Hostess however could dress a little nicer. It is a nice restaurant and I would like to to see a more professionally dressed hostess.

My wife and I were excited to try this restaurant after friends had suggested it. Unfortunately, we did not have a good meal and the place was both noisy and kid oriented. Not the comfortable and relaxing setting we were hoping to find.
