I visit GCB - Burien on a regular basis. I live on the Eastside, however, once a week I travel to the Burien area for work. Even though there are a multitude of restaurants nearby, I prefer to go to GCB. I have my favorite sandwich (egg salad), but I also purchase pastries and bread. Service is good and the food is consistently good. The only thing I would mention as a negative experience was when I purchased a rhubarb pastry. It was particularly dry w/ very little rhubarb in the pastry. I mentioned it to the cashier on my next visit and she acknowledged that there was a problem with one of their batches, however, that was all she offered. I guess I would have preferred if they offered another pastry as a way to make it right.

The reason I dont go here much anymore isnt the food. Its good stuff. However, here, Im always settling. They are nearly always out of this or that and I hardly ever get what I wanted when I decided to drive out there. I get fresh and first come, first serve, but with the frequency they are out of things with a fraction of the day gone, youd think they could plan better for this. Biscuits have been on the breakfast menu for as long as I can remember. Ive never eaten one...and Ive tried. I hate croussaints, but they always have PLENTY of those it seems.

a little disappointed with the prices. I grabbed a French ham and there was hardly any meat at all. The bread was delicious of course and their coffee is great. Ive also had very good pasteries and the leek and cheese quiche is to die for. All that said, please charge a dollar or two more at the already high prices and give me some more meat on my sandwich please. The bread to ingredient ratio is way off

So the food is totally worth it even if its a tad spendy the ingredients are quality and yummy. Customer service is where they get meh, they are nice enough, but I often find I have to wait and they mistake my order and although they are polite offering coffee pastries while you wait one cant help but think they might be understaffed or staffed with nice but incompetent people...

The people that work there are friendly and patient. Nice spot to get away from the office, a great place to meet with friends for coffee and conversations. Only thing is you wait quite awhile for your order. Sometimes its too loud with other people socializing you dont hear your number called and get your meal/hot drink too late that its cold from sitting on the counter.

I agree with the last poster. I took my daughter there two weeks ago as I do like the Bolo sandwich. Once there I found one staff member to be particularly rude and I think she over charged me as the bill was 40 dollars and all I ordered were two Bolos 4 cookies orange juice and a cinnamon roll.

the employees are very friendly and the service is great. the food is good. Dillon and Arie (I am sorry if I spelled her name wrong) are great employees. Grand Central is very blessed to have them as employees, they are a great asset to the success of the company.

A great branch in the local Grand Central Bakery chain. They have everything: sandwiches, soup, great Victrola coffee, pastries and loaves of bread. The space here is large and light with lots of tables. Staff is always friendly and the vibe is casual, communal.

Inconsistent, sent an employee for one of the expensive bolo sandwiches. Comes back in a wrapper with no condiments as it used to come in a box with all the stuff. I call and inquire and am told I have to ask for it. Mickey Dees is seeming better all the time.

You need to buss your own table....when finished......so if the person before you was messy you get left with the mess......i do not like that idea......i did not see any towels to clean the table......we had to take out order to go after finding this out

I dont come here often, since I have my favorite coffee shop a town away... But when I do, I love it! I think the staff is wonderful, and their loaves of bread are a great gift to bring home to the family for a nice lunch of sandwiches.

Great food, coffee, and customer service! After having a customer service disaster over the phone with a hotel, it was refreshing to be treated with kindness and enthusiasm as soon as I walked in to the bakery. Thank you!!

Egg shells in the food...advertising for things theyre out of....and screwing up the order. At least the coffee was okay and the (last) biscuit was good.

Tuna fish over priced, but very good. Just think a 10$ sandwich should come with chips and drink maybe
