So I was in the mood for an "old peoples buffet" and since theres no Furrs Cafeteria around here (is that chain even still around?) I thought Id check out the Old Country Buffet. Pretty much a mistake. In fact, Im not sure what drives me to still go to these places occasionally, since I know what Im going to be getting anyway. Im also not sure what magic is involved to make food both over-salted and bland at the same time, but the wizards of the Old Country have mastered their craft. Lets be honest: you go to this place because its cheap and you want to stuff yourself to the gills, and you arent worried too much about quality. Specifics: All vegetables are either canned or probably arrived in "Sta-Fresh" bags from the Sysco truck. I like green beans. What did they do to them? Meats are super-salty and pretty greasy. Still edible, for the most part, but nothing to write home about. Everything is just so...generic. On the other hand, if your idea of heaven is macaroni and cheese and fried chicken, you might be happy, if you come armed with low expectations for both. The worst was the soup station though. 2 or 3 soups that had emptied out early in the day, and had only dry, crusty soup-remains cooking away happily in the bottom of the soup bins, and NEVER got refilled. I know this because Im a pig, and I was there for a long time, and I just wanted some soup dammit, and it never arrived. "F" for the soup. The ambience is sheer chaos, with both children and adults crammed into the place ready to pounce on any new food item delivery. The line for the place goes out the door and about 100 feet down the mall at times. Theyre also charging extra now if you want a drink. Or a "special beverage" or whatever they call it. Lame. Im trying to think of something else positive to say...not doing too well. I dont think Ill be back anytime soon.

Since I was really little Ive been eating at the old country buffet its good old fashioned country food, usually overcrowded and only worth the money if you have a coupon or your going with somebody who eats ALOT or if you yourself are really hungry! Great place for large groups of hungry people like childrens sports teams after practice! Otherwise youll overeat food that is good but not fantastic with exception to the salad bar and DESERT bar which are amazing! Great place for large families or groups of children! Not so good for just 1 or 2 people with average hunger.

After I read the review Bad Service on 9/6/09 from customer, I cant believe OCB still has this manager(Mohamed) still working here??? I had a same terrible service from this manager yesterday(9/18/10). When we paid when we came in, he charged us for extra drinks even when we said that we just wanted water. After we found the overcharge and asked him to correct it, he tried to ignore it but we demanded that he corrected the price then he gave us really mean and nasty service. This is not acceptable service for any bussiness. WATCH OUT everybody for this CHEATING charge.

Wait staff was very friendly. The "serve from the left, clear from the right", and all dishes being served simultaneously professionalism of other top restaurants was missing, but it made for a more relaxed environment. Wine pairings were a miss, but the food was so fabulous, and the ambiance pleasant, that I still give it 4.5 stars overall. I would suggest skipping the pairings (as even the sommelier seemed to be suggesting in hindsight) and pick one of the fabulous bottle selections. The food is 5 star and a great value for the quality and attention paid to the food.

We went on Sunday after church, for the first time. Their computer system was down, so I dont know how much each person costs (2 adults, 1 two year old, about $30) and no receipt given. The selection was limited at best. I had the brisket and it was tough and fatty. Veggies were frozen, old, and overcooked. The Mac n cheese had no flavor. The fish was extra "fishy" tasting with too much salt and lemon to mask the taste. The fried chicken looked like it was cooked in month old dirty oil. The mashed potatoes however, were good!

Im a weekly diner. Its consistently clean. The food can be bland but the selection is picked by corporate Im sure. This OCB is at its best when the GM Betsey is on site. She has her crew running at top form and it show in fresh and loaded serving trays and quickly rung up guest and dirty dishes cleared quickly. Since they got their long out of service ice cream machine its a 4 star place for me.

My husbands hates this place, but my kids ADORE it. Great for huge swimmers appetite after theyve swam 5 hours in one day. That makes it a very good value. The food is decent. As with all buffets, it seems to have a preponderance of people who have indulged their appetites too much, but what the hell, for an occasional treat for the kids, why not?

Food used to be great, not fancy or anything, just craving. Honestly tho, not that healthy! I would try something else if you are in the area. There are also a lot more local options in the area that you can go out to or cook at home for the same price or less. So yeah if you are a tourist or arent here for long, its a waist of time in my opinion.

Place looked closed with lights out and realty sign in window on Tuesday, 02/21/2017. No other notices posted. Then drove to Lynnwood and found a U-Haul truck at the front door that looked like it was loading some of the equipment from inside. They were my favorite place to treat myself to and now they seem to be gone. Very sad to see.

Decided to check this place out. It wasnt bad at all. I know at other locations the food can be disappointing (for me, not my kids-lol). However, the dinner was pretty good. The meat carver station was good along with the battered shrimp & salad bar. I also enjoyed the deserts.

Went for fathers day for prime rib and had to go back 5 times because they give such thin slices. Other food options were bad. Didnt even have pizza for the kids. Not very good selection and not very tasty. The only thing good was the fried chicken. Even the kids didnt enjoy it.

Getting a 4 for nostalgia purposes. Went to BCC ( yeah, had the word "Community" at Bellevue College back in the day) and would drop down for All you can Eat plate challenges. My highest was 5 plates, had a Iragi exchange student do 15, damn, that guy could Eat!
