After seeing this coffee stand for years, my sister and I finally took the plunge and tried it out. It was a little bit of a wait, as there was only one employee working. All things considered, I thought she was doing very well and provided a cheerful greeting and made helpful suggestions. Her service wasnt one star worthy. What made me give this business a one star review was the fault of management. The drink I ordered was the one advertised at the front of the stand: blended matcha green tea. This is my favorite drink on the planet, and Im always psyched to try peoples takes on it. What I received was the biggest disappointment of my recent memory. When she handed it to me there was blue food dye smeared around the inside of my cup. The color of the drink itself was a wonderful shade of puke. The whipped cream on top wasnt fluffy with stiff peaks but soupy, and warm. Less than appealing. However, Im always willing to give coffee places the benefit of the doubt. I took one sip and I was immediately hit with the gritty texture and overly sweet flavor of vanilla powder. The ice wasnt even completely blended. As someone who has consumed an astonishing amount of many matcha drinks, I would bet my life on the fact that there isnt a scrap of matcha powder in the recipe. This drink wouldnt usually have set me off if the advertisement wasnt such a flat out lie. Whoever is running this business should take a look at their own menu and maybe try to choke down the broken promises theyre offering.

Im not a regular at this business, have gone a handful of times because they have sugar-free white chocolate powder. But most recently I ordered the same mocha I always do and temp setting was so hot that I burnt my throat, palate and tongue. I do say that I have a pretty high tolerance for heat - and wasnt expecting 170 degrees (of which Im not sure I believe) instead of 150 with my usual barista. But all this is neither here nor there. When I made a stop this morning after my morning shopping to give the barista (same one that gave me the mocha a few days ago) a nice gesture, she looked at me like I had the plague, no apology and told me to state if I want temp lower before ordering. Although I did not expect an apology, I was astounded at her lack of professionalism on the matter, will not be returning and will pass information on to friends as a warning. As a former business owner - whether you feel it is your error or not, you accommodate the customer and listen to concerns.

Wonderful drinks, great girls working all the time. Best coffee in town by far.
