Went for a couple beers with my co-workers after a long day on Auto Row in Auburn this evening. It being a Sunday, it was a little slow, but that was okay. The old place, Jacks Tavern, may have a similar name, but these are new owners with a country-western themed bar. The old place was a dive bar, but Bourbon Jacks has a new fresh look and its clean. Nice large screen televisions, electronic darts and they have a dance floor and even a mechanical bull that operates at times. They moved from their old Kent location. I never went there, so cant comment on past bad reviews from years ago at a different location. So the owner, Eric, is a friendly guy who knew we had a long day. He sent over some comp appetizer called Burnt Cheese. Freakin awesome! You know the yummy crispy cheese on top of like a baked lasagna? Taste like that, but its not actually burnt...its crispy. Kind of like a cheesy chip without the potato or tortilla. Served with marina sauce to dip. So good, ordered another order with Betsy, the manager. We ordered more drinks, and since we all loved the app, I decided to give some real food a try. Talked with the head cook named Sid. He suggested the platter with pork belly, beef brisket and pulled pork. He was in the middle of smoking the pulled pork, so he checked with Ronni, the waitress, to see if we could just sub more brisket. She said, "Of course!". This dish was perfection! Pork belly melted in your mouth, instead of being chewy bacon. And the brisket was awesome. Perfect amount of salt and smoke. Served with fries. I joked with Sid that I was going to smuggle in some rice next time, cause Im a transplant from Hawai`i. :) We all will definitely go back. Well be doing lunch there tomorrow to try the pulled pork. Thanks for a good experience and attentive service!

Let me first say that before Bourbon Jacks I had never even considered going to a Country themed bar. When I arrived I was aprehensive about paying $5 cover on a Friday night. After I walked around a bit I realized it w as worth it. Between the live DJ who took my requests all night, the free mechanical bull, that they turned on early just for my request, and the free line dance lesson with the radio personality Deanna Lee from the Wolf... yeah $5 was worth it. The servers werent ":around much " but then I realized there were 3 servers for the entire bar. This bar is pretty huge. So I just started getting "filler" drinks at the bar by the dance floor. I paid 4-5 bucks per beer, which is standard club fare. I got a couple shots of Tequilla as well to share with a patron, and I ordered a burger. My total tab at the end of the night was $40. I had 4 beers, two shots, and a burger... Does not seem unreasonable to me. About the food.... I have been here several times since then and ordered just about everything on there BAR menu. The burgers are all awesome, hand pressed and homemade, not frozen. The salads are huge, and the chicken wings are awesome. I would stay clear of the raviolis or clam strips on the appetizer menu though. If you go to this bar and you do not have a good time, with all the friendly and helpful staff, then you are just a beezy.

On a recent trip to Puyallup, my husband and I were excited to find a country bar to go dancing at. Boy, were we shocked! This is NOT for anyone who isnt a regular. Unless you are versed in line dancing or specific partner dancing, plan on going as a spectator. The music is surprisingly old with only a few popular new songs thrown in. The bull riding is not very authentic, with no real riding strap, and little buck, although there are lots of unrealistic spins. I will give it to the bar, however the drink prices were fine and our server, Tiffani, was AWESOME. She really tried to get us involved and encouraged us to try the dancing.

I went with a friend to Bourbon Jacks. He had coffee and I have 5 double whiskey rocks. This was over a hour and a half period. The drinks were barely a ounce an hour and a half of well whiskey. I think it was Evans Bourbon at about $9 a fifth. I was charge$10 for each drink. It as $50. To put this into prospective. I can buy two half gallons of R&R a much better whiskey got $48. This place is a rip off. I did tip the waitress $10 but I will never ever return to this rip off Joint. My friend told the food isnt that good either.

They said they had a burger special on sunday. We order 2 burgers and had 5 drinks. $75 the bill was! 5 well drinks should be $30 max, so, was the burger special a 2 for $45? The bill was not even itemized to let us know why it cost so much. The drinks were weak and the burgers werent very good. We will not be going back. I left a nice tip and just wrote it off as a learning lesson. They can keep the money cause the wont be getting anymore from us! We were at the bourbon jacks in auburn, wa.

I almost always have a good time here, the only time i dont is when not too many people show up, but that is pretty rare. Great country music, excellent staff. Very attentive most of the time. Dance floor is easy to dance on, a little small but adequate for around 15 people or so at a time. Lots of pretty girls generally as well!

Since they moved to Auburn, everything has gotten better. The place is a lot better looking on the inside and the food has changed to more barbecue style. They have a big selection of different beers, including wine and alcohol. Betsy is the nicest and friendliest employee you could ever meet there.

Love love LOVE this place! Been going for YEARS! Delicious food and wonderful staff (shoutout to Betsy!). Drink prices are a bit high but I mean whatever. I wouldnt trade another place just for cheaper drinks. Its about the people and the atmosphere for me.

Gorgeous friendly male bartenders that made great drinks! Big open outside area with oversized porch swings. Nice sized dance floor and fun upbeat music played. Bathrooms were pretty dirty, but otherwise great place!

Decent BBQ, western decor, very good service, great comedy on Tuesdays. We have gone twice for the amateur comedy competition. They have had good talent with a great headliner after. Will return.

Not a huge fan of country music myself, but had a great time going for a friends party. Food is great and lots of beer on tap. Nice atmosphere and open bar.

Rude unprofessional woman bartenders. Stadium priced drinks $10.00 for two small beers and $15.00 for two tiny shots. Worst bar ive ever been to.
