My wife and I got a free $25 gift card so naturally we tried it. I had high hopes since a friend of mine knows the guy who put together the menu.. Our server was completely unenthusiastic[though I wouldnt be happy serving this garbage to guests either], but not the worst Ive had. We ordered the "blackened chicken nachos", which turned out to be cheap nachos with cheap salsa and some cheese, the chicken was some pre-cooked dry chicken squares[not even blackened chicken]. The whole thing had clearly been microwaved. This is something a child could have made at home, provided he have access to some nasty leftover chicken breast that had been in the fridge for a week. The waiter also brought us out some microwaved rolls straight from a bag and some stale butter for them. I went on to order the 1/2 rack of ribs and 1/4 roasted chicken... cant mess up ribs right? You can if you MICROWAVE THEM. What a waste of $22 on that dish.. My wife got Fried chicken because shes picky and couldnt find anything else that interested her... I ended up eating it because she thought it tasted like fish, though I didnt get the same impression and thought it was pretty good.. but it was 3 pieces for $8 or $9 and you can go to farm fresh less than a mile from there and get an 8 piece fried chicken for $5 and its just as good or better. The sides were ok, nothing special [I overheard a table next to us talking about how the red beans and rice were Zatterans].... Basically, dont ever go here. Even if they swore to me theyd improved, I wouldnt go back unless they paid for my meal and gave me a refund for the crap they served me the first time. I hope this helps someone choose another restaurant. Go to Second St. Cafe, theyve been beyond expectation every time, and its like a minute from Bourbon St Grille. Tequila Rose is also great if you like Mexican. Wish I could give this restaurant negative stars.

I was there last night and it was the worst service I have ever seen. This place is understaffed. There was only a few options for food, they claimed that they were out of half the menu. The amazing part was the DJ. Karaoke starts at 9:30 p.m., this horrendous and awful DJ showed up at 10:33 p.m. looking like he came from a crack or alcohol binge session. I said to him "I thought Karaoke starts at 9:30 p.m., and he says "Dont worry about it, Im on "CP time", which insinuates "Colored People Time (CPT). The fact that I am an African American I was insulted, because I served my country for 21 years, and I was always on time. Further, I am a professional Karaoke DJ myself and I have never missed my mark. I believe this DJ has a substance abuse problem, and having employees like this will run your business in the ground. It has the possibilities of being a great place if the DJ was not there anymore, full menu being available, and more wait staff was hired. That was an awful experience. If you all need a professional DJ let me know. This was an awful experience.

I had a coupon for this restaurant. I went to use it and everything worked fine. Then we started to eat. The food was horrible and the service was even worse!!! On top of all that THEY ADDED A TIP TO MY ALREADY SIGNED AND TOTALLED RECEIPT!!!! They stole from me!!! I left a cash tip of $3 which was more than generous considering how aweful the service was and they added a $3.50 tip so he got $6.50 for one of the worst dining experniences Ive ever had!! Their menu was SO limited that they had like 5 things to choose from at lunch and maybe 8 for supper. The law enforcement will be involved in this one.....this was ridiculous!

The steak sandwich I had was excellently done, and Id recommend it to anyone. The drinks I had were mixed strong, which was a plus, and the price for the drinks was fair enough. The service was pretty slow considering how empty the place was, but the waitress was friendly. As far as decor goes, it seems like every bar I went to when I was visiting town was a 95% copy of every other bar in town, so Im not giving this one a worse rating than the others for it. If youre staying nearby, its worth checking out.

Frogprof: My wife and I almost didnt eat here because of bad reviews, but went anyway because we had a $25.00 off certificate. Our steaks were excellent, the salad was outstanding and the side dishes were very good.Coffee was supurb. Our waitress was excellent.It is a Sports Bar, but the dining area was far enough away from the Bar area that we were not bothered. TV coverage was good even in the dining area. We will most likely return. 1/16/2011

Sat and waited for my and my familys meals for over 30 minutes, on a night where there were a total of five other people in the place. Witnessed the cook and another patron get into an argument with the situation ending in the police being called. Wont ever come back. Awful service. Food was OK.

My wife read the reviews before going to the restaurant, but unfortunately I insisted on going there anyway. Big mistake! Joshs review of May 1 describes our experience 100% correctly, so that there is no need to write any more. Do not go there, even if you have $25 gift card.

Its an older hotel but the staff all go out of their way to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable. Theyre all very knowledgeable about the area and can tell you good places to eat and things to see.

The place was dead and we still had to wait to be seated and then sat there for 10 minutes and no one ever came to the table so we left. Good thing too cause the food was way over priced!

Dont expect anything remotely authentic from the "creole" selections on the menu. "Po boy" had a total of 6 shrimp on the entire hoagie roll.
