I was appalled at the phone calls I received from this restaurant, and we hadnt even ordered anything. Tuesday Jan.13, 2015 We received a phone call on our home line, and the lady on the other end was complaining nobody had come to pick up a order. We politely told her we did not order and hung up. 5 minutes later they called back and said they knew it was us who made the order and my voice sounds the same! I said I did not make an order and hung up. The 3rd time around they were downright nasty. They said someone in our house ordered food and didnt come to pick it up. I asked the lady her name, she said Tina. I asked her last name. She said Wing or Wang. Anyways, her name is Tina and she was the manager. She demanded we come pick up the order. I said i did not order and i was hanging up for the last time.She mumbled before hanging up - Lying weirdos - Talk about lying weirdo? I dont use language like that but that is one weird woman! When the woman finally realised her mistake, she called back 2 hours later and apologised but the damage had already been done. She was dialling 1 number wrong on her phone, and thus connecting to us instead of the person who made the order. Evidently that person decided not to pick up their not-so good food. Which i have had before. My friends often stopped in this place for chinese and they said they knew whom Tina Wing/ Wang was. They said she is definitely weird, and when she speaks english she is often sarcastic and says things like shes reading a book . Anyway, i hope my review can help someone. Know who you are giving your money to before you make an order. That phone call showed their character, and it wasnt good.

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would... What a horrible, horrible, management staff... Not one time have I had a good eating experience at this place. It smells bad in there, the people are extremely rude, and out of convenience when I did try to give them another chance their "Delivery" is undetermined... Meaning, I bought two full dinner entrées, paid for it over the phone, and then they found out that it was a 4 mile drive to get to the house. WOW!!! 4 miles... THAT IS SO FAR AWAY! I dont know of any company that would drive 4 whole miles to deliver to their customers! Not to mention... I was going to give them a $20 dollar cash tip because that is what I had on me... I will make sure to tell EVERYONE I KNOW NOT... and I repeat NOT!!! to go eat here. When I told them to refund my money, they didnt, and they still didnt deliver anything, not that I wouldve wanted it at that point anyway. Dont waste your time with this place, their is way better for way less in the Salem area.

I havent been this satisfied at a buffet in a long time. I took a bit of a drive and decided to try my luck here at Shanghai on Colorado Street and I am glad I did. Shanghai was great. The crab ragoons, noodles and chicken were some of the best Ive had. I also caught them right when they were putting the stuff out. I think the bad reviewers must have caught this place at a bad time. The only negative thing that happened was the manager/ owner, whom said her name was Tina, she was a little rude. I told her *Your english is really good.* She replied *uhmm... I have been in america since before I was a teenager.* I said ok and then asked her if she spoke chinese. She very rudely replied with an attitude... *I dont speak chinese, OK!* Like I offended her or something. How was I supposed to know she had been in america so long, or she couldnt speak chinese? Other than that, there was nothing negative and Tinas service was acceptable. Great experience. I am likely to come again.

I never do reviews but Im sorry this is a must. Im from out of town and Ordered from here tonight (technically last night) egg rolls were extremely greasy looked a little burnt and tasted as if they were cooked in bad oil I ordered three total and only ate half of one due to the foul taste, Im a Chinese takeout enthusiast and have never had this problem...the rest of the food had a similar taste but was however edible enough to eat. I ordered General tso and shrimp combos...Its now six hours later and I am sick as a dog! Been on the bathroom for an hour and just vomitted up all of the food I ate from this place! Never again. Should of listened to my gut. Quality was not that great and was a red flag of an unclean establishment. Being a store manager of a restaurant I should of thrown it away due to the quality. My severe sickness hours later is now clear proof of that.

We ate here Saturday September 6. My cousin and I. I have to say, very displeased. When we arrived they said NO BUFFET so we just had to make regular orders. The lady who took our orders said her name was Tina, I found her annoying and bossy... She actually told us * just make a quick order, ok* Not good service combined with no buffet just equals a bad review... Miss Tina you are lucky we didnt just give you bloody 1 star! The only thing that saved you was your good General Tsos chicken

This place needs a health inspection.Nasty walls ,funny smell in the air ,random cart sitting full of what seems a hoarders dream collection.The buffet was foul looking.We took one look at the walls ,food and other costumers (trashy looking bunch) and left.If the health inspector came in this place they would surely shut the doors.

they delivered to my job a couple times before and everything was fine. I tried to order today and it say they dont deliver to my address. Im only 3.3 miles from them, google said it was a 10 min drive. Why deliver food if your not going to really deliver. 3.3 miles come on people, thats just being lazy.

Order off the the menu and skip the all you can eat bar, which is pretty fabulous if you have no MSG issues. Shrimp, scallops and veggies is a awesome. Large size will feed you twice.

This place used to be decent, but we went there for lunch on Mothers Day and had the worst Chinese food weve ever had. Maybe it was an off day for them, but I wouldnt go there again.
