Let me start out by saying I go to this place at leasttwice a month. I went on Satuday July 22nd and it was just awful. The food was good and the waitress we had kim was great even though she was attending to the bar patrons. We arrived in the evening and The lady owner was taking names so you can be seated. She was awful at this! We said party of 2. 15 to 20min wait. Ok it is saturday night. People came in before us and after. Everytime she would come back to the front she would put her finger up and take a drink from a big cup through a straw and be so un raveled like she had not a clue. She had no idea who she put on the list and everytime she saw you in this small area would ask are you on the list... This was a small area. To make this shorter there were at least 10 tables open. Said she did not have the staff. Instead of sitting people after 20 mins of waiting so maybe they can get water we ended up waiting 40 mins. When we said something she got defensive and said I am doing the best i can. I explained we knew she had a staff problem but being the owner telling people 15 mins on a 40. Min wait was crazy. If she would had said to all of the guest there it would be 30 to 40 mins people could of changed their mine and try this resturant another time. I explained that to her and all she did was blame it on a waitress that did not come in. Again 1 waitress out and 10 tables open and no one is being seated. Not even in the bar area where we did end up being seated. This place needs some help with staff and maybe the lady should not be running the dinning room.

After my wife waited 52 minutes - and that was calling 15 minutes prior to arrival - our food was absolutely horrible. The waitress was rude to my wife - and then hung over her as she signed the receipt thinking there would be a tip after she announced that the food was ready - 15 minutes later she brought it out. I ordered the Rocky Hill Farm Natural Beef hamburger ($8.49) with lettuce, tomato, and sharp cheese. The Cheese ($1 extra) was burnt to the bottom of my hamburger, which made it basically uneatable. No tomato, and a single slice of lettuce and a few red onions. The Ciabiatta Roll I ordered with it was rubbery, but crisp on the edges. My daughter order the kids meal, which was the Cheese Burgers, she got one. Was suppose to have a fountain drink and vanilla ice cream. Neither were packed in the bag so we paid for a small hamburger (single) and a very small side salad. She could have gotten a LARGE McDonalds meal for $7. Both adult meals had a few fries or maybe a single serving of fries split between two meals and arrived COLD. One must really think through before ordering here or going there to eat. The resturant had people in it and more arrive, but no one left the entire time. When being told that the food would be ready in 15-20 minutes, but sit there for over an hour. The food was subpar and no where do I see the owner compensating for the poor quality of service and food. I hope the the measly $28 made off my family tonight was worth it - because we wont be returning. Enjoy!

We had an amazing dinner here. We found this place on a whim and cannot wait to go back. Everything was delicious. True care and pride was put into preparing our meal. The salad had mounds of fresh veggies and the homemade dressing was amazing. That wasnt even my meal! I am trying to eat healthier and wasnt sure what to order but found many options! I ordered the Mediterranean grilled chicken. OH MY SWEET JESUS! To die for. So much flavor. It was amazing. I havent been able to stop thinking about that dish all week! The steamed veggies i ordered on the side were amazing as well. My husband enjoyed his meal just as much. The portions are large (for those who value that!) and customer service is valued there. It was so refreshing to eat somewhere that food was made with care and you felt like the cook wasnt slapping it together. The prices were very reasonable. A great restaurant. Very refreshing to have that experience. The staff was very nice and friendly. Highly recommend. Im just sad we live 45 min. Away!

Had good expience in the past so went there for my birthday terrible the salad had slimey lettuce in it we returned for fear of food poisoning with our forks as we felt they where contaminated asked for new forks the waitress was working with n the bar also so she never came back and I had to find other staff to give us forks for my daughters and my dinner. My daughter had ordered a extra extra done steak as she doesnt like blood. The steak was extremely rare. I was told Icould not have snaked potatoe as it would take too long and was forced to have some mashed potatoes that tasted they had been sitting around for days. The men finished there meals while my daughter and me still waited on eating utensils and properly cooked and prepared food. The rotten lettuce was put on the bottom of the salad and I had on bite before I found it and had explain dive diarrhea for two days. Beware of this restaurant. Ruined my birthday dinner

I have been frequenting Blue Ridge as one of my new haunts since I first moved here. Great sweet tea and a nice variety of food cooked well (at least from what my fiancee and I ordered). However, I had a disappointing experience last night. We arrived at 8:30, 1 1/2 hours before they close, and went inside. We could hear people bustling about but no one was there at the hostess stand. My fiancee went to the restroom and I waited. No one poked their head around to say, "Ill be with you in a minute!" So I waited longer. He came out, still no one. A group of customers left. No waiter/waitress. After close to seven minutes of waiting for a sign of staff, I decided to leave. It is not my responsibility to poke my head in and ask to be seated. Rather unprofessional and disappointing from my favorite little stop on the way to Charlottesville.

My family and I went to Blue Ridge Cafe for the Mother s Day Brunch. The food was wonderful. However, when we arrived a nice young lady met us at the door with a beautiful smile. She went to seat us in the back room and on the way she let the waitress know that we were coming and she was extremely rude saying, NO DON T I DON T WANT ANY MORE , (she was a redhead). Not only did we feel uncomfortable but we felt very sorry for the young lady that was seating us. We were finally taken back to our table and the nice blonde waitress waited on us and we were so glad. She was wonderful and so was everyone else. It is a shame that one person can make things go wrong. I was satisfied with my visit otherwise. Thanks to the other two who helped me. We will be returning and pray if we get the redhead waitress that she is in a better mood.
