This was a SCORE on many levels: The FOOD: I had the Triple BBQ platter with Chipotle Mac-n-Cheese and the perfect Potato Salad! A side of Cornbread topped it off. Thanks Buster! The Bar and Staff: The small bar is adorned with Fire Fighters patches as a well as Fire Engine motif through out. The owner Shawn introduced himself and made me, as well as others, feel very welcome. I ended up sticking around a few extra hours after dinner. We shared mutual stories of our adventures in the Navy. Shawn also gave me some very interesting historical background of one of the oldest farmers market in the country!

I went to the Halligan for lunch today as a result of a random Google search and was not dissapointed. The wings and barbecue were really good with large portions. The decor is firehouse themed and the walls are covered in patches from fire houses all over the US. The staff were excellent as well. Great to talk to and over all great service. The staff and owner are also very supportive of police, fire, and military personnel. I would definitely return her next time im in the area.

Great food and great service. We will stop in again on another snowbird drive. Wish we could be there for the music this thursday... but the home made pickle, home made pepper sauce for the awesome BBQ sandwich were like music for the tongue! Excellent sound system, John the cool bartender AND a firetruck! If I lived in Richmond, I would be here every night! Brunch menu looked cool, too!

Thoroughly irritated.....They just came out and told me I had to leave because I had a child under 18 here past 10pm....SHES AN INFANT!!! AND SHE WAS ASLEEP AND WE WERE SITTING OUTSIDE IN THE CORNER MINDING OUR OWN DAMN BUSINESS!!!!!! Not a toddler or teenager running around!!! You just lost a lot of money and business, absolutely ridiculous.....

So if youre looking for a good bar, with great food and even better people...This is the place. I have yet to have bad service, bad food or bad conversations with the bartenders or staff. Its small, but that adds to the appeal. If you havent been here at least once, youre missing out.

in a town that seemed especially bland this bar was a saving grace, bartender was friendly, wings were great the sauces were great, and beer was well priced. the atmosphere in the bar was amazing. 5/7 recommend to everybody

Pretty good food, though a bit pricey for the portions. Then again, probably average pricing, for the area. The mac-n-cheese was pretty bland, though, more like boiled noodles with some cheese toppings.
