The food is great. I love the food and especially the fried rice. Its the best fried rice I have ever gotten from a Chinese restaurant. The customer service is good. The only problem I seem to face is they never offer you a receipt of purchase. That makes me wonder about the charges; however, the price is moretime worth it, but I guess I have to request my receipt on my own unlike at other place of business who kindly give you a receipt. I have been there twice in a week ordered the same food, shrimp egg foo yung with fried rice and they have got me sold on that dish. When I say delicious each time. I mean delicious.I dont know what has changed since they reopened after closing, but the food seem to be mo betta than eva. I hope it stay that way. I gotta try my chicken wings next something I always loved from. East Villa.

This is a great neighborhood take out place. The prices are incredibly reasonable and the food is always good and tastes fresh. I live in the neighborhood and this is our "go to" place for nights when we dont want to cook. They give huge portions, we easily get multiple meals out of our orders. I have never experienced the bad attitude that other reviewers say they have. I have to question if maybe they are taking cultural differences as a bad attitude. From the outside it is a hole in the wall that you probably wouldnt give a second glance and truth be told, the inside doesnt get any more appealing from a decorative standpoint, but it is very clean. It isnt the kind of place you would go for a night out at a restaurant, but is a great takeout spot.

DONT USE YOUR CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD HERE!!! Visited location and was provided a receipt for one amount and a few days later after reviewing my account noticed a $5.00 tip had been added. I immediately went back to the location and voiced my concern. The woman, who is ALWAYS there working, stated her "BOSS" did it. I explained that what they are doing is STEALING. I always mark a crossed zero on the tip line because if need be leave a cash tip. She quickly handed me the stolen money and I advised her that I could call the authorities on them. She continued to say "Her boss did it!!" No apology was given.. They have lost my business with their nasty food! Who knows how many other victims are out there!!!

My wife and I order takeout a few times a month. Im surprised about some of the negative reviews. The staff consists of one or two people at the register and they are always cordial. They make an effort to acknowledge their regulars which is more than I can say of any Chinese takeout place Ive been to in the city. The food is pretty good, and pretty fresh. It can get a little salty depending on the order, but they are open to special requests if you need less salt or something cooked crispy, or whatever. I recommend this place to all my friends and neighbors.

The people are nice, but the food isnt. Weve tried a couple of times, hoping it was just a bad day for them but it wasnt. Their Lo mein noodles were mushy - way over cooked. The General Tsos chickens flavor wasnt bad, but most of the pieces were hard and chewy. Not appetizing at all. Maybe there are other things on the menu that are better, but we wont be going back.

Although there is no delivery, I do not mind going out of my way to pick up at East Villa. The food is quickly prepared. The servings are pretty large and able to share. The best part is the family that owns the restaurant. They are some of the nicest folks around.

The food of the place is decent, cant complain too much when the selection in this town is pretty thin. However, the last time I went there, I tasted cigarettes in my fried noodle. I took a peek at the back of the kitchen, and damn it was an ash tray.

Very nice people but the food was average. They slightly messed up my order by giving me steamed dumplings rather than fried dumplings. The General Tsos chicken was fine but average. This is fine quick meal if you are in the neighborhood.

Best fried rice hands down. Feels homemade. Chicken usually crispy, never soggy whether sweet and sour or sesame/Generals. Our fav in the city but they DO NOT DELIVER. Maybe part of the reason they remain a little known gem

I ordered sweet and sour shrimp, fried rice, and an egg roll. Rice tasted like it was watered down, the egg roll was sub par, and shrimp was overcooked. Would not recommend.
