Good food. Ate China Panda 2 days straight when I was at a 2-day meeting in Richmond. First time came alone, second time came with 2 colleagues. The food is really good. The service here is so-so. I thought the lady here was weird. 1st time by myself, she kept talking to me and annoyed me. On the 2nd time, We walked in the restaurant and she walked up and said *heres your order.* Then asked why we took so long. We just stood there and stared at her. We said we didnt order anything, but we were ready to place an order. She said *No. you did call and place an order already. Because I remember your voice.* I told her again no we didnt but we were ready to order. She said *are you sure? because you sound exactly the same as the person who called me.* I told her I was sure and she pointed at my 2 colleagues and said *You 2 made this order, didnt you?* They were just like no. I told her to chill out, we didnt make the order. She said *ok. sorry.* and asked what we would like. She kept staring at us throughout our meal and was visibly upset nobody picked up that order. She asked me 2 more times if I was the one who made the order, because my voice sounded the same. I said *everyones voice sounds kind of similar over the phone.* Which is true. Take any 2 male/male or female/female and compare their voices over the phone. They will always sound slightly similar. She just kept going on and on about that order. It was very annoying. Shes already annoying enough without going on about that order. It was ridiculous. *YOUR VOICE SOUNDS THE SAME! I KNOW IT WAS YOU!* Ugh... Good food though. NOTE; I helped her look at her caller id. Come to find out, it was a out-of-state number who had called her and made that order she kept going on about and every time she tried to call back it said it was disconnected. This person was probably pranking her, which is horrible.

Back in June 2011, this particular China Panda sent notices around saying they would be closed for the next two months due to renovations. I patiently waited for two months to pass until they opened back up. That time came and passed and there was no notification of an extended renovation of the restaurant. I had no clue this restaurant was back in business until yesterday. I was overjoyed to know that my favorite Chinese place was back, so I wanted to order today. My most recent experience with this restaurant can only be described in two words: Booty Juice. The experiene was 100% freshly squeezed booty juice. It was made to go down the crapper. As I initially called in the order, the person taking my order wasnt the sharpest tool in the shed. Her elevator didnt exactly go all the way to the top. She knew next to nothing about the menu and prices on it. It took 8 minutes for me to convey to her what food I wanted to order while helping her out with where the items were located on the menu. She tells me that the wait will be 30-45 minutes maximum. 30-45 minutes passed and no sign of the food, so I did not break a sweat. An hour passes and I become a tad bit antsy. An hour and a half passes and Im ready to call back to the restaurant but there was only one problem: Whoever was answering calls did not want to pick the phone up. I spent the next 5 minutes calling the restaurant, trying to get someone to pick up and they finally do. She informs me that the delivery driver will be there in a few minutes. A few minutes passed and he arrived with the food... an hour and forty five minutes later. The food was anything but hot or warm. The delivery guy did not seem to care that he was late or offer any kind of special to make up for the late delivery. What was once my favorite Chinese restaurant in Richmond turned into my least favorite.

For those of you who wrote to "ignore the bad reviews", I say "DO NOT IGNORE THE BAD REVIEWS" ! Its true, the customer service STINKS! I was searching for a vegan restaurant in the Richmond area so I decided to check it out. As a first time customer who just walked into the restaurant, I was greeted with an extremely rude and disrespectful woman with a bad attitude when I questioned her about the way their food was prepared. I chose to overlook the rundown looking place hoping that the customer service and food would be somewhat exceptional, but it wasnt even close to being average. I am sorely disappointed and would never recommend anybody to give people like this their business. Its a good idea to find another go to vegan/vegetarian joint who deserve your business. Just my 2 cents.

HEY, dont eat here. I thought it was going to be great food, but the moment you call the store there seems to be an angry woman on the phone. The food got here in 25 minutes, which was really nice to see. The delivery guy was very nice, I gave him a wonderful tip. BUT THE FOOD. The food was awful, no wonder it came so quickly.. it seems like they cooked it 12 hours ago. The fried rice was stall, the beef from the beef and broccoli was not entirely cooked. Which is what some restaurants do, they kind of cook it before but dont entirely cook it so they can warm it up later. The sauce from both the general tso and beef and broccoli was pasty, which means it was cook a long while ago. I ended up paying $21 for a really terrible meal. I regret it. I wish I just cooked something at home.

Terriable Customer Service!!!! The other reviewers are correct, ANGRY, RUDE woman answers the phone. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Go to Joy Garden near Boulevard & Broad. Great prices, Great Customer Service and best of all Great Tasting Food. Hot, Fresh, & Delicious! The ONLY reason why I would deal with this China Panda is because they serve this Hunan Wonton dish that is delicious and I cant seem to find it anywhere else; but you just gotta go through so much to order it over the phone. Slow service is why I try to call it in. Dont bother, anyone who doesnt appreciate the customer isnt worth your hard earned money!

This place sucks dont waste time or money. Ordered here for delivery 4 times already and no problem. But all of a sudden today my address is too far away. Even after i clarified that they have delivered here several times before and it is only 2.5 miles away, she still said it too far. Must be nice to be able to turn down money as a business. Jst remember china panda its the customer that is doing u the favor of spending money in your establishment not the other way around. So u jst lost a customer for life and whoever else i can convince also. Great job keep up the good work¿

I called the shephard street location and asked for a number to the location closer to me, the young kid on the phone proceeded to hang up on me, i called back three more times asking to speak to a manager, each time i was hung up on. A chinese lady came on the phone and explained that the manager was not in, and then hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak to the lady, the same young kid said she just left. Ten seconds after we spoke. I had a friend call the same location and he spoke to the same lady, put it on speaker and i could hear her voice.
