EDIT: After 20 calls and I truly mean 20 calls I finally got to a manager, Bob, who proceeded to yell at me after I gave him the full name on the order like he asked . Never once did I raise my voice or get rude, however, he did not hesitate to raise his voice at me immediately . I will contacting corporate. usually love this place, but the older foreign delivery driver has been a jerk every time. Today my fiance ordered me food to be delivered at my work (I work a 9 hour work day 5 days a week and do not get a chance to get food) and we have never had an issue with it not being delivered on time. Well, now it has been 40 minutes LATE and we both have called 5 times and no one has answered. I normally order panera 2-3 times a week because of its convenience with delivery and wide range in options, but they may have just lost two customers if we dont get a refund for our order and someone to reach out to us. VERY DISPLEASED

First of all, the kitchen staff just yell out your buzzer # instead of actually using the buzzer. I got up to get my meal and sat back down. 5 minutes later I realize I didnt have my fruit cup, so I had to go back up to the counter and wait 5 more minutes for that to get "made". Then I realized my steak and white cheddar didnt have any cheese on it-- one of the main ingredients! Im on a lunch break from work and simply dont have time to wait for cheese to be put on my sandwich or another sandwich to be re-made (I took a couple of bites before I realized it was lacking cheese). Currently sitting here and I can hear the kitchen staff loudly laughing and talking; just so unprofessional and un-panera-like.

Beware, they close at 9 now instead of 10. But instead of posting their hours online and going through corporate, they posted a ghetto ass sign on their door so people like me can order online (which you pay ahead for) & be livid when they get there. I tried to then cancel the order via email, but a one hour time ahead request is required. Im out of town so returning to this Panera is not an option, but hopefully corporate will be able to give me money back and be able to change their hours online so its not deceptive. Im now out of $10 and a $5 off coupon. Thanks Panera for the wonderful, overpriced experience!

Had a not so good experience turn into a great experience while at Panera Bread located across from Christopher Newport University in Newport News.Our order got messed up but when I came back to get what was missed from my order, the staff apologized, fixed our order and asked if I needed anything else on the house. They also rembered to tell my wife Happy Mothers Day! Its not that we are looking to get free stuff, but its just that they went the extra mike to make us have a good experince as the customer and held themselves accountable for their actions. Typical Panera dishes with typical taste nothing new there, but the environment is cozy. This is a great place for college students and even older crowds. Its located in a shopping center just outside of CNU and in walking distance to all the university buildings. The inside is a bit tight with not a lot of seating options but over a good place to eat or even study. Free WiFi is available at this Panera location. The parking lot a bit convoluted since it is a shopping center parking lot but overall nice and clean.

I have been ordering from them ever since they started delivering. I have no complaints with the food its always great. I do have a problem with not getting what I order. When we order its always $45 plus. Because its for 3 people we get the main dishes but we are short a bag of chips or a piece of bread everytime. I cant call and make someone bring me a bag of chips or a piece of bread. At first I did just to let them know, but I am done. The last 8 orders were all missing one item, they need to learn to count.

I have order deliveries few times after they started doing deliveries. Food was good most of the time but delivery experience was horrible. I had put special not for driver not to bring in the food to office and that I will be waiting outside. But the driver had brought in the food in side and also called me 4 times! My order was supposed to be delivered at 12pm but he was earlier which is why I couldnt answer the phone due to my work period. Very disappointing it is not that hard to follow directions!

Disrespectful staff. Last night after making an online rapid pick up order, my husband goes in to pick it up and is told there is no order in the system. I call in the store to give them the confirmation number and verify the order and the manager I spoke to was extremely rude and told me there wasnt any order put in and refused to even attempt to look it up in the system. Im extremely disappointed because I have been a PB customer for many years.

Great place to order delivery if you want to pay for food you dont receive. The sandwiches are always right, and tasty at that. But be prepared to consistently receive your french onion soup sans croutons and cheese and if you get two soups, expect only one piece of bread. Whats aggravating is that recurring theme for all three times we have ordered delivery from there.

The manager sucks I left my laptop charger called him to check if it still there and told him exactly where it was and he said he didnt see it. I went back and checked and it was right where I said. Dont be a jerk to customers especially if you dont care, just leave We spend a ton of money at places like these and all we want is someone who cares

I was impressed at how hospitable and kind the staff was here. Even when, while in line, the person in front of me was mad because an item has been discontinued and he said he would never come back of that, the person behind the counter tried to be understanding and handled the situation very well. Would definitely come back here.

Most of the staff is nice and friendly, but the order I picked up for the daycare staff was wrong. Ordered a certain type of cream cheese for a reason, only for it to not be with the order. The bagels werent toasted either. Not the best Panera Ive been to, but they could do better at paying attention to the small things.

Panera is a nice place to meet friends or family for the coffee or the light meal when youre on the move, or short on time, or you just need to break out for a while with your computer because the air is a little stale at home. Food and coffee is decent, and all the sweet stuff is excellent.

Ordered delivery that included a cupcake, amongst other things. Panera Bread ran out of the cupcakes and tried to call to substitute the dessert. I was occupied at the time and couldnt get to the phone, so they delivered 3 different pastries to substitute. Great service!
