This was my husband and I first visit here and it will probably be our last. Our food was great but the service was EXTREMLY POOR! The owner of this restuarant/manager (who ever runs this place) needs to get there act together & get off their high horse. Your restuarant will be unsuccessful if you dont have great customer service! When I complained to our waiter (who was probably 16) he acted like everything was perfect and ignored what I said. If you are a waiter or a waitress and you have a customer who is unsatisfied with something, YOU FIX IT! NO BODY SHOULD WAIT 30 MINUTES FOR A DAMN TO GO BOX & WATCH THEIR WAITER GO BACK BEHIND THE COUNTER (where the to go boxes were ) 5 times. You also need to let the customer know if there is a upcharge for a item on the menu. We were charged extra for a side that came with the meal.And God forbid you shouldnt tell who ever is in charge (infront of customers) that you dont have NO UTENSILS & they are all dirty. Hire a person to do the dishes. End of story. Get it together. This restuarant needs to treat everyone who walks in that door like they are a food critic instead of your average Joe blow.. Now in case the owner is reading this..maybe this will light a fire under your ass to help you and your business become successful bc like I stated above the food was GREAT AND HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL..

It would be nice to continue to eat here, friendly staff , good food, the last 3 times have been inexcusable , Friday night over a hour wait for burgers, next time server doesnt write anything down and everything is messed up with terrible delay in repairing said issues, last time tonight , begged server not to forget my salad prior to meal and instead forgot my entree completely , wife and daughter finished eating and still no meal , asked for check and the humor was the server asked if I wanted to pay for the meal I never received . Um no!!!! I have one more chance for this place in me , and that is so generous !!! Cooking my frozen pizza at home after going out to eat. Tonight was my last chance for my favorite spot , and it was a home run , staff was on point and everything was timely , was so relieved to enjoy my visit . Great bounce back , thank you Brandy and crew ! Been back 3 times since the bumpy few visits and the adjustments they have made have been a welcomed change, this local spot is awesome , bring a little patience on a busy night and enjoy your company , thank you chill and grill !

feedback of Chillin and Grillin Shack. C 1 of 5 stars "October 17th 2016" virginia clark, mechanicsville virginia October 17,2016 There for birthday celebration for my twin granddaughters birthday. The service was slow and the waitress not very professional or attentive. When the waitress was told it was their birthday, her response was "we only have cheesecake, what kind do they like?" my reply was ask their mother Im not sure. When the bill came, there was two charges for two cheesecakes. of which the waitress never said we will charge for them. We were not informed there would be a charge. Most restaurants give a dessert for free on a persons birthday. We should have been informed before she brought them. Our options would have been to bring them or not. When asked about the bill for the cheesecake "we were informed that you have to pay for it, we dont give them away" I feel like it is a matter of principal not the ten dollar charge. As we were leaving my grandson asked multiple times for a to go box before he got one. This was our first time there and will be our last.

Rude management. Our group of eight went here regularly and enjoyed the food. One visit we were given a piece of pie that tasted nothing like it should and had shared our dissatisfied taste with our server. They were kind to offer us another piece and we decided we didnt want to chance it. The server stated the manager would not credit us and made us pay for the pie we did not eat and refused to come out and explain why. The server was obviously embarrassed. We have decided not to go there again until the manger gives us our money back for the pie.

Went this past Saturday for breakfast no kids menu. My nephew asked for Orange Juice the waitress said I think we have some at the bar then came back to the table to tell him what soft drinks they had or lemonade. Country ham was delicious but prices are high for breakfast, will not be returning. If you leave a bad review on their Facebook page they will block you like they did me.

Been three times, incredibly slow service. Last time we went was our last, even though the food is good, but cannot wait 45 minutes after placing order for a burger. Waited so long another waitress asked us if we were waiting for our check. 2 out of 3 bad experiences. Only go if you have no other plans for the day.

Oh my gosh! We love this place. Its like our neighborhood Cheers. The waitstaff is super cool. The menu has terrific variety and I enjoy the specials! This would be a great restaurant anywhere, but its definitely the best place for miles. Dont change a thing except maybe bring back the cheesecake. :-)

Ive never waited less than 45 minutes for any meal in the restaurant. Simple things like a club sandwich will take nearly an hour to receive. Management must know but has refused to fix the problem over the few times Ive visited. This will be my last visit.

Needs to update the website on Google. We love little hole in the walls but not when somewhere states they are open and you drive 45 min to get dinner and what do you know they are CLOSED ON SUNDAY AND MONDAY.

Have been eating at Chillin & Grillin Shack on the average of twice a week for about a year. Love it! Everything is good but the smoked pork chops and steaks are the best Ive ever had.

Plenty of tempting menu items in a clean setting. The staff aimed to please. Good parking. Restroom has all the needed paperwork. Many fine beers to choose from. No complaints.

The food is by far the best in King William county! If you have not had the Cajun Catfish your missing out.
