Congratulations tiny thai, you have succeeded in the practice of making customers run for their lives. How? Aside from the waitress, and the personality of the owners, Well for starters, the food was not cooked when it came to the table, the vegetables were raw and the meat was cold, so cold that it seemed like it came from the arctic. Then there was the pangnag curry, it was like raw vegetables in sugar and horrid and the pad thai that mightve just come out of the fridge. So then there was a prompt to try something else, why not something "authentic" (and no time to read the "disclaimer") since the curry was abysmal, spicy can be good, but four hot thai peppers (which I learn about after I order) on a "non-refundable" dish is a scam. What kind of restaurant has "non-refundable" food, if I am not happy then must I pay for a torturous dinner. In their case yes. $12 is a lot for a big plate of torture. So when the big plate of torture is spotted on the bill, we ask the manager if it were all an honest mistake. No, but seriously who put that man in charge? He had the audacity to argue with a friendly customer and still try to keep $12 on the bill because its their "policy". Well said "manager" is obviously clueless when it comes to pleasing customers because he was a rude creature who should not be interacting with people since tactfulness is not in his demeanor. Instead he tried to threaten with his suave cosmopolitan intimidation (despite being nowhere near New York), such people are not worthy enough of business. So instead we ask for the owner who still does not remove the $12 plate of torture. Well that being done, this place needs to review their "policies" or they may as well go bankrupt because happy customers will not flock to a place that makes people pay for things they are not satisfied with. Also $10 for watery tea, raw vegetables smothered in sugar and that "manager" just make the place extremely unpleasant. To top it all off, I had a nasty bout with food poisoning a day after coming to this restaurant, so I guess that means I got an authentic food borne illness from that authentic food. Would it kill them to cook their food properly or is money that much more important?

Positives:. Prices are good for the amount of food you get. It is a BYOB restaurant, water is provided. So, bring in your own sixer or a bottle of wine. They dont charge a corking fee. They provided a wide range of dishes for the pickey eaters in us. Negitives: Services was slow, it took about 8 - 12 minutes before they came and took the order. Small dining area; seemed cramped and was pretty loud. The taste of my dinner, it could have been just my dish, but it seemed as though every so often I would taste a cleaning chemical. Maybe they washed there plates in some powerfull cleaning water... not to sure. I could not pin-point the problem, so no questions were asked. The veggies were still on the hard side. Maybe a little longer in the pan would bring out the flavors and soften the veggies a little more as well. If you go during lunch or dinner rush hour, you are bound to wait for a table. If i remember, they have about 8 - 12 tables, ranging in sizes. Manly small four seaters. Bewear, casual dress, I would recommend anyway. Walking into a restaurant with shorts and a t-shirt and everyone else is wearing casual dress, just does not feel right, and youll know youre out of place. Otherwise, enjoy the meal. : I

Just left this place after having dinner there with my family. Food was bad, staff were worse. Portions were small. Waiters were the rudest Ive experienced in the Burlington area. They actually pressured us to leave right after we finished our meal. We waited about 45 minutes before being served, and about 30 minutes after that, the waiters were trying to get rid of us to open up the table. They forced us to tip them 18% (they hand-wrote on the bill that its automatic for a party of four). They deserved no tip at all. Maybe thats why they have to force people to tip them. I arrived happy and hungry. I left angry and still hungry. There are many good restaurants around here, such as Shalimar and Farahs and Pho Hong. No reason to go to this terrible place.

One of my favorite, if not THE favorite, places to go in the Burlington-area. The dining are is extremely small and always packed -- but thats one of the things I love about it. No matter what time of evening you go, there will always be a line. Although its always busy, the customer turn over rate is extremely high; Ive never waited more than 30 minutes for a table. The food is AMAZING -- not to mention the prices are hard to beat; A dinner for two -- consisting of two appetizers and two entres can cost you less than $30. The best part? it is BYOB. Enough said.

Oh my Tiny Thai - amazing. Was visiting from NH and looking for good food. We found incredible eats. The authentic Thai was superb, although I do not know what authentic is. It has just the right amount of heat, just enough to make you sweat but not burn your face off. Curry was tasty, BYOB was unique, food was amazing. Likely the negative reviews are from people who want "New England style" thai. If you want flavor, heat and value eat here, NOW! If you need Thai in NH try Thai Smile in Plymouth. It will make you smile just like Tiny Thai!

I dont know why this place gets good reviews. This is an average Thai food place if you put it anywhere else in the country. The food is not bad but it isnt amazing neither. So I would rate it 3 stars. The reason I put a 2 star is because of the service. They dont take more than 2 credit cards. If this is the rule, youd better state it clearly on your menu with font and place where people can actually see. Not some size 4 font at the back of the menu where no one will see! Very unpleasant experience.

I have eaten at this place many times. The food is always excellent and the service is good. It is located in downtown Winooski in a very small space so they do not have a lot of tables and do not take reservations so plan to wait if you come on a weekend. Along with the quality of the food there are two things that stand out for this place, 1. You can bring your own booze and 2. The value for what you get is perhaps some the best in Vermont.

If you have small children, dont bother. No booster seats or high chairs and somehow the staff cant get all of the entrees out at the same time. This means youll have to try to occupy your young ones and survive a longer than normal dinner... Food is always good but save this place for takeout if youre a family... NOT family friendly

Im a businessman and was looking for a nice place to eat and was unfamiliar with Thai food. So why not stop in and give it a try. Since I didnt know much about the cuisine, I asked my waiter and he was so helpful. I had an outstanding meal and the flavors just popped. Great place to eat!
