L&L definitely isnt fine cuisine. But sometimes, you dont need fine dining. What you need is a plat full of barbecued meats and fried chicken. You need macoroni slathered in mayo and sticky white rice. You need fried spam topped white rice and wrapped in seaweed. You NEED it. You may not even know you needed it until youre there, trying to shove the last scraps into your face right before you waddle out the door. The flamboyant man behind the counter was funny. Its clean, theres really no customer service. You place your order at the front desk and then they call you and you pick your food up, thats all there is to it. Count this as your breakfast, lunch and dinner. Because unless youre 500 pounds, I doubt youll need to eat again for the day if you eat here.

I lived on the North Shore of Oahu where there was an L&Ls within walking distance to my residence. I ate there all of the time, as it was probably the only affordable location to eat for a college student. After I graduated, my family moved to West Valley City, and saw that there was a new L&Ls right across the street from our apartment! We were SUPER excited! The food is still great, however they dont have a buffet-style showcase of chinese food in the front of the store like the L&Ls on Oahu (but the L&Ls on Oahu took cash-only, so I guess theres a little tradeoff there). SUPER happy to have L&Ls close by so I can get my Musubi fix whenever I want! GREAT PRICES! GREAT FOOD! and a GREAT location!! Mahalo nui loa. :)

Best in Oceanside, Hands down. Hawaiian food isnt on every corner, and Oceanside isnt a place known for its Hawaiian fare, but L&L is a must try! There are other spots for Hawaiian food in the area but this gives the best tasting and plentiful bit around! Whenever trying Hawaiian food I always gotta try the BBQ chicken or a BBQ mix. The BBQ chicken combo here is delicious and youll have enough for leftovers! Dont be afraid of Hawaiian food if youve never had it, this is a great place to start!

This would have gotten 5 stars for the food, the only problem I have is that 2 employees are always making out. Ive gone 2 times this week and Ive seen them do it the 2 times Ive been there and not only that, I went yesterday 7/28, it was 8 pm and they were already closing. I just went home. They always close at 9 and they should at least put a sign saying that they are changing their times. Ive already seen it be closed early a couple other days. Are they loosing customers to Mobettas?

First impression when walking in was it was soooo hot and muggy inside. Looks like they dot have AC. Their tables are sticky! I ordered the BBQ mix plate and was not impressed. The chicken didnt taste fresh and the meat was over cooked. The teriyaki sauce tasted like the store bought brand and not authentic. Its supposed to be a mix of meats but only gave me 2 strips of meat and literally 6 giant chicken thighs. Pretty much left 80% of my plate untouched. Not worth the price.

I can see why this place was empty at lunch time on a Friday. Their BBQ beef was dry as a bone and the texture of a tough jerky. The rice was extremely stale with no seasoning. The chicken is dipped in grease and the skin is left on for your pleasure. The prices are a joke for the quality of food you receive. I wouldnt take my worst enemy here. Their water was pretty good.

Ok, so Google keeps asking me to rate L&L Hawaiian Barbecue. Ready? Ive never eaten here. Ive never even stepped inside. Im tired of deleting email after email so if I give it a rating maybe theyll stop coming. 5 stars? Why 1, the place could be fantastic. No reason to slam a place Ive never been. Go and check it out! Hit and miss, sides are bland, service is less than enthusiastic, the prices arent cheap but you get a decent amount of food, if you dont mind the drive Id go somewhere else though. Also the store opens at 11am, not 10am as is listed. Went back today hoping for a better experience, my order sat on the counter until it was cold. Defiantly not going back again.

Wasnt my favorite place to eat. I had it before and wasnt impressed, so I thought I would try again, since I was in a hurry. The restaurant is not maintained very well and the AC was not turned on when it should have been. I had a two meat plate with BBQ Chicken and Katsu Chicken and wasnt impressed. I have had better at other local Hawaiian places.

I absolutely love this place!!! I came last nite for a to-go order.I ordered the the Katsu chicken and the macaroni salad was perfect with it. The lady at the front was very nice and perky! Food took a little longer to come out but its worth the wait! I will def be back actually Im coming again Toni for another to-go order lol.

I love this place! Amazing friendly workers, good food! Highly recommend!.... also" buter tost" Im not sure what your talking about... I come in very frequently and have never seen employees kiss let alone make out... I have seen them hug.. but I dont really see a problem with that.. maybe a little bit of an exaggeration?

I am from Hawaii and the food tastes nothing like local island food. I called to find out why the food was so bad and I found out they are under new management. The rice was mushy, the Mac salad was watered down and the meat was way over cooked. Dont waste your money or time. Its seriously not worthy it.

Today wasnt a good day for L&L, Katsu chicken didnt taste right and macaroni salad was too running. What happened to people used to cook these food, it used to taste like Hawaiian food now it tasted like nothing. I always go here but now Im changing to Mobeta or Mokis if nothing changes.

Growing up in california there are many of LnLs! I was missing my chicken musubis because mobettah doesnt make them!, the macaroni is so delicious with the kalua pork, yum! Very happy i found it in utah too and i recommend this to any looking for something deliciously different!

Cant go wrong at this place!. Everytime I drive through this sorry State :) I always stop at this place! Been here at this location 7times and all 7times it gets better and better everytime. Downtown location, like 50 times lol. Great food, great people and great music!

Amazing food. Glad they open Sundays now and we go after church. When you get a plate of chicken , meat or pork... mix the rice aND macaroni salad for a great taste and add some katsu sauce. With one plate my husband and I both can eat and be full. Great meals here

Laulau was listed in two places on their menu, so I ordered a laulau plate, only to be told they didnt have any. Dont put it on your menu if youre not going to sell it!!! This was at 7:30pm on a Wednesday, not a weird time or at closing time.

The food is really flavorless. Not worth $10 a plate. Make McDonalds look appetizing. I ordered the BBQ chicken and it was super greasy and flavorless. It came with 2 scoops of rice and some extremely bland pasta salad.
