Well... after three years, we decided to go back and give it another try. Mind you - we can walk here and it is mostly out of convenience that we gave it another go... and the miserable traffic right before the Christmas holiday that is to be avoided at all cost. Honestly, this place is cleaner than I ever remember it before. My shoes survived the dreaded "spilled soda" running across the floors and when we left - they did not have the usual sticking to the floor sound that I remember long ago. Service was the same - like the other reviews you will read here (they seem to be consistent with what we found) Empty Chips never refilled, Tea did get a refill - but had to ask. Food - well the Salsa has some heat... the plates were warm too (and the plate did eventually melt the cheese in my meal) Ill close this review with the obvious... Taco Bell is across the street (and has a line in the drive thru) And across the street from Taco Bell is Los Cucos. yes... I am leading you in the right direction!

La Frontera, What used to be a great place is now a place where you can go to receive the following. 26 (literally 26 french fries) for $4.00 2 Burritos for $15.50 (even though the waiter assures you that it is only $10.50. And when you bring this up to the manager at payment time. She treats you as if you are stupid and does nothing for you) 2 taquitos, along with 1 cup of rice and 1 cup of beans for $8.50. Totaling your bill to $28.00 for a lunch that tasted awful, was so cold/old the sauce on top was crusted over and bad customer service for the manager. Had I received even one ounce of concern and/or respect even if it was fake and out of pity, I would have not gone as far as to write a review on Google. I will not attend this restaurant again. As I urge you do the same if you value your hard earned money.

we have been going too the west valley location for over 20 years we love the west valley location !!!!! never a problem this was enough too never come back again the location in Sandy was horrible they give you hardly any smothered stuff on your "smothered burrito" we got chips after waiting 20 mins and the sauce cup was so dirty we had too ask for a new cup and they gave us bean burritos instead of just smothered like we asked for the food came out and was way cold and tasted like it had been sitting for along time my 2 year old ordered fries they were 5 dollars for a very small pile and the fries were soggy they had grease dripping from them my son wouldnt touch them do you blame him it was also cold the only good thing was our Dr. pepper and the guy that served us was very very nice and apologetic

Hadnt been to this restaurant in a long while as I live in Utah county, but the last meal I ate there the green chikecwad horrible! It is way over priced for the amount of food they give you, then if you wNt more chips while you wait for your meal, they charge you extra for that? They hire illegals to work there who slam Americas choice for President (Julio Hernandez) on face book! I will never set foot in there again, and I would love it if all those who support Donald Trump as our President would join me in boycotting this restaurant! Julio needs to be fired! He is here illegally and we shouldnt support anyone who supports those who are here illegally! There are way to many other places to eat better Mexican food who do things the right way!

terrible. This place is just sad. The food was sub par and the service was apathetic. I ordered the Chili Colorado. I received a pile of sauce with 4 small pieces of meat in it. When i mentioned this to the waitress she said that is how it comes. Sooo I paid $16 to be mocked. That is fun. At least the tortillas were pretty tasty. Also the bathroom was a freakin horror show. Out of the two stalls that do actually close both toilets were incapable of flushing more than two squares of toilet paper. This was made manifest by others who were leaving the stall. Also the whole bathroom was incredibly dirty and in terrible disrepair. Made me question how bad the kitchen would be too. I will NEVER go to La Frontera again.

Horrible experience! The salsa was horrible. We tried to make it better by adding pico d gayo...but it was useless...the chips were like dollar store tortilla chips. The waiter only came by when we sent someone to get him. My 8 year old niece had to go into th e service area to get us drinks. The food was generic...from a can. When asked how our experience was by the hostess, we said that we had had better experiences at other La Fronteras...she said that we would need to go back to those ones because they have different owners. No one looked happy in this place...they stared at us motionless as we tried to get them to give us our check. ..finally we just got up and waited for someone to notice we were leaving. Horrible....

Went in today with a buddy from work and I ordered the $10 lunch special. The waitress asked if I wanted my burrito smothered and with onions as though she were clarifying that this was standard practice and never mentioned that it would cost extra. Food was ok but not great. Just bland Mexican food youd expect from a place like this. When I got my ticket, it was $17.00! They charged me $5.00 for crappy sauce and onions to put on top (+$2 drink) and refused to remove the charge that I wasnt advised of and wouldnt even apologize. My one star rating is more so based off of customer service than food quality. Food would prob get two stars.

La Frontera has been our familys favorite restaurant for years. I used to brag about it all the time but honestly, Id be straight up embarrassed to take someone to this location. Every year the prices rise, the quality drops, and I get closer and closer to abandoning it all together. Thanks for ruining my childhood! P.S. The best thing about this place has always been the chips and salsa but they even decided to ruin that. They recently stopped frying their own chips and started using some store bought crap with literally zero flavor and are as hard as rocks. Not an exaggeration. Go try it for yourself if you dont believe me.

They brought us the wrong food, charged us for everything they possibly could, including sour cream out of a packet .75 cents per tiny unopened packet. The chips are stale tasting and they charged 2.50 per basket. Didnt ask which check (we split it 3 ways. Not that hard) to put the chips and the guacamole on. When we got the wrong food all she would do is bring out ground beef in a little bowl (looks like dog food) for the enchilada that was missing it. salsa burned our faces off. And we were practically shoved out the door (they closed in 30 min later). Never ever again. Horrible. The food they did get right tastedlike butt
