Literally the best sandwiches I have ever tasted in my life. I dragged my husband downtown on Saturday to try Buds with me- I ordered the Pesto and he ordered a Cheesesteak (he actually wanted the Pizzasteak, but I totally misheard him) he ended up LOVING it, even though he doesnt like Cheesesteaks. We loved it so much that we went back a second time for lunch on Monday and ordered a Pizzasteak for him and another Pesto sandwich for myself. He LOVED the Pizzasteak and I tried it and its amazing. We even got a cheesesteak for my father-in-law on Monday and he couldnt believe its not "real meat". Buds is the yummiest lunch I have ever had! And I am SO GLAD that I found it. I believe this place is a must for any Vegans, Vegetarians or literally anyone and everyone. My husband isnt vegan or vegetarian and he thought the food was phenomenal. Its one of our favorites now.

How good is Buds? Lets just say anytime Im in SLC, I go out of my way to eat here. I will event bring a sandwich home to my wife. I am so glad that I found this place on Yelp. I feel the price point is excellent for the food you get. Please do not let the fact that it is "vegan" scare you off. If vegan food tasted this good, everyone would be vegan. I am not vegan by any means, but I love trying vegan resturants because the food really has to be good for it to be successful. Our personal favorites are the Cheeseteak and the Barbacoa Burrito. The cookies are good too, but they are a little pricey. As many have mentioned, the only con is the outside sitting. So, on a rainy/snow day plan accordingly. I still go when the weather isnt the best and eat it in my car. Yes, its that good.

Wow, Ive never reviewed a restaraunt before but I had to show some love. Ive been vegan for about 6 month and I have been trying out every vegan dish in the valley trying to find the best one and let me tell you, my buck stops here. I tried the barbacoa sandwich today and my girlfriend had the pizzasteak sandwich. I tried both and was blown away! This is the future of vegan food. Quick, affordable, filling, nutrious and simply delicious. There should be a Buds sandwich shop in every city!

Very very tasty. Had a pesto and a barbacoa, each on sourdough. Good sized and very filling (my wife and I shared the two sandwiches). Fast, friendly service. Order at the window and dine outside on sidewalk picnic tables under great shade trees. Im not "vegan", per se, but appreciate the environmental consequences of meat and really minimize my intake. I love when I can find good food I feel good about eating. Ill be back!

Went once on a ski trip to Utah and loved the Pesto and Deli sandwiches so much we went again. However the second time, the cheese steak sandwich was not very good. Loved the soy-beef but there was way too much cheese sauce covering everything and ruining the flavor, couldnt even eat the whole thing I got so sick of it. Love the idea and wouldnt hesitate to go back but just be wary of the cheese steak sandwich.

An amazing sandwich place! Dont let the size of Buds fool you. I got the Pizza something sandwich (I dont remember the exact name) but I couldnt believe there was NO MEAT. Flavorful! Delicious! FILLING! (I couldnt eat the whole thing in one sitting.) When youre downtown and want a great lunchtime sandwich, head to Buds; 500 E. 300 S. on the northeast corner. Youll be amazed!

They seem to be a very local sandwich shop. The guy working the counter seemed to take interest in the customers and knew quite a few by name. They have picnic tables outside that you can eat at. I love the concept of the walk-up window and no inside services. I got a chicken pesto sandwich on sourdough and it was delicious! Not a huge selection, but the food is worth it!

I had to give them a 5 star, they held a gun to my head! They said if you dont give us a 5 star review you can never eat here again. Im kidding, they didnt say that, its freezing to get food there because its pick up only in the winter, I hate the cold, but their sandwiches are that good that I choose to wait outside for them. If you dont go to buds, youre missing out.

Tasty vegan sandwiches with no frills, only a window to order it...Keeping costs down by not providing indoor eating, no restrooms, nor any way to call them to even pre-order is a bit frustrating but the food is worth the observation that they must be profiting greatly with this format. Now I wish they had a drive thru closer to me in Holliday UT!

Since becoming a vegetarian good hearty food is sometimes hard to find when eating out. This place is amazing! Sandwiches are large and well priced and every single one has so much flavor! Took a buddy here and they didnt even realize that there wasnt meat in their sandwich! I do wish they were open for a bit longer so I could come by more often!

Well-priced vegan food that fills you up and tastes great. There is no indoor seating so youll want to take your food to go in the winter. Fortunately, the service is very quick and they have an outdoor heater you can stand under while you wait. Im not a fan of fake meat but their salads are so amazing that I go there at least twice a week.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in the world. I travel more than Im home, and out of everywhere Ive eaten, this somehow remains close to my heart (stomach). Not only are they the worlds best sandwiches, but its a large amount of food for the price, and completely vegan (but if you like meat, you cant even tell).

I recently went back to being vegan and was so excited to find a 100% vegan restaurant. I will admit, I was a little skeptical they werent lying because the cheese steak sandwich taste and looked like actual meat. It made me scared to try it actually! Im completely in love and want to bring all of my friends now! Bravo!

Vegan/vegetarian buffalo chicken sandwich is excellent. Especially for not containing any chicken. Lack of indoor seating is a drag in the winter. Also, the drink selection is rather selective if you dont particularly care for organic soda. The service and sandwiches make up for its shortcomings.

My wife wanted some vegan stuff and one of my friends recommended buds. Not being a big fan of vegan dishes, this place had some pretty tasty food! Seems like they were quick with the food as well. Id recommend it for those looking for healthier options or anyone wanting to try something new.

The best employees making some seriously stellar sandwiches. I long for Buds day in, day out. Ive been on the Buffalo train for as long as I can remember. Last time we went "hard in the aioli paint", and Ill always love Buds for catering effortlessly to my obscure requests.

Im not sure I can add to the reviews as it seems to have been said already. This place is fantastic. Im not vegan, but really love their food. My favorite is the buffalo "chicken" wrap. Pricing is good and the service is quick. Unique place in SLC for sure!
