What can I say about Ikes? Let me start off by telling you that about 4 years ago there were rumors about this place closing down. My friend and I decided to go get our last sandwich as the whole city was in mourning over this loss. We then waiting in line for over 4 hours on a warm Sunday. Yes, it is that good! This alone should convince you to go here. Oh and the line was all the way down the block and around the corner. Much less did we find out they were not closing, simply moving up the street haha. Happiness was restored. Honestly, Im not much of a sandwich person but this place is legit. First of all its hella local. Many of the sandwich are named after neighborhoods or SF Giants players, which makes me immediately love it. The choices are endless. It will take you quite a while to figure out what superb sandwich you wish to enjoy that day. Tips: -Grab and go. No seating. Grab a sandwich, take it to Dolores Park, which is a few blocks away and enjoy. -Come prepared to wait. There is a line because it is good. Do not be surprised by this and do not pass it by because of this. -They have gluten free bread! -The sandwiches are huge so be prepared to eat! -If you dont know what you want (speaking from experience) you can ask the staff and theyre very happy to help you decide and help you figure out details such as what bread goes good with what sandwich. -The sandwiches are messy. Grab some napkins Now go stuff your face with a delicious Ikes sandwich :)

The subs are great however it seems like half the time I go there I cant buy anything. Hours constantly change and arent updated online until months later, seems like they always close early, and today they ran out of bread. Its a sub shop and you ran out of all your bread? Sounds like you just want to leave early. I drove all the way from glendale to eat here and thats really disappointing. Like I said food is great but if you dont want me to spend my money there then its your loss. Good luck though because thats how your run a business into the ground. 10/16/2015 update Reduced to one star. Placed my order to go with a pickup in 20 minutes. Showed up and not only are my subs not ready, they are out of sourdough. Why wouldnt you tell me that when I place my order to drive over there. Thank you for wasting my time and money. Done with this location.

Quality sandwiches at a decent price, this place has something for everybody. Almost a little overwhelming at times with all the options, but the employees are always ready and willing to suggest something new and exotic based on your preferences. Open late too, definitely one of the best choices in town past 11pm. A bit on the pricier side as far as subs go, but not in a prohibitive way at all. My personal recommendations are the "sometimes Im a vegetarian" and the "Christine and Umera go to Ikes place"

Ordered from Postmates, waited an hour. My sandwich was just tomatoes and bread. The manager of the store told me to get a refund. Had no intentions of fixing their mistake. Poor customer service. Had no sympathy I used a third party ap to order from her establishment. Didnt take ownership for the mistake. Didnt offer to replace my order. I love this place I order form here the exact same sandwich all the time. Just in shock the manager told me to get a refund lol. #training

I love Ikes sandwiches! This is by far the best gluten-free sandwich bread I have ever had. The menu can be a bit overwhelming at first and as a new customer I did not realize how big the subs really are. But overall the taste is amazing and they will make it exactly the way you request it. I also love that they will also let you create your own custom sandwich if you dont want anything on the menu.

I have been here twice now. The menu can seem daunting at first, so I would suggest reviewing the menu before arriving to have some idea what you want to order. There is something for everyone here and both visits have been excellent. The ordering process is smooth and you get your food fairly quickly after ordering. I recommend this place and will be going back again sometime soon.

Pump your breaks when you see this place caise it you walk by you will miss out on some amazing sandwiches!! I had a turkey bacon sandwich with sauteed mushrooms and onions and I almost died because it was so freaking good and thats not counting the french fries and fried zucchini!!

This is the perfect lunch stop whether youre just grabbing a quick lunch or youre looking to hang out around Tempe. The staff is laid back and friendly.The sandwiches are hands down the best in Tempe. My personal favorite is a Meatless Mike.

Hands down, this is the best gluten free sandwich shop in the valley. I love that I can eat at least 70% of the menu. They also have vegetarian, vegan, and halal chicken, making this a great sandwich shop when dining with others.

An overwhelming selection of subs and great choice of meats. However, each time I go it seems like they skimp on the meat and toppings. Its definitely overpriced for what you get but that Dutch Crunch is sooo good!!!

The best sandwiches in Arizona. Ive tried at least 12 and theyre all amazing. The Madison Bumgarner is my personal favorite, and be sure to have the Dutch Crunch bread with every sandwich, its amazing.

Best sandwiches on mill hands down, have always had great service and sandwiches! If you dont mind paying $10 for a sandwich (most sandwiches on mill come close in price) then definitely try Ikes out!
